Great trip report as always, with the dry humour to match the champagne. Good tip on the pricing - would like to do this route some day. Keep ‘em coming. You should have way more subscribers.
EVA rocks, have taken that BKK-LHR flight in biz many times and the service is consistently amazing…beats Singapore Air any day of the week on what you get and what you pay, hands down. SQ lounge in BKK wins tho for sure, I use it a lot. Fun video as ever. 🎉
Ditto - I always look forward to these long form vids and the commentary. Great history and detail. I could not see the "timms" being kicked off, but loved the pun that was intended. Hurrah.
Great video, informative and funny by equal measures. I don't know why you're surprised by EVA's performance/quality. It's quite well known they are an excellent airline, judging by all the reviews I've seen.
Glad you got the Windsor castle joke in before landing, also the music ones. Top work as always. Strange how they only had one main course and no physical menus. Imagine going to a cheap restaurant in the UK and having so little options, even a Harvester would give you the option for poor food. Crazy.I think a lot of the airlines are still not back up to speed after covid. Now got Flip Flop traveller, double whammy on Friday. PS That green reminds me of 1970s bathrooms.
Next time you do this avoid the EVA lounge. Go to Thai for booze and Singapore fot booze and food. The Turkish lounge is not bad for food too. Just seen you are already there! Love your reviews……..not often I see someone knocking back more than I do!
Nice trip report. The EVA lounge was very impressive with that jellyfish design, and so was the other lounges with tasty food and beverages. Sorry to hear about your menu problem, I think the crew could have done better. Except from that, everything else was top-notch
Eva air economy is all us mere mortals can afford and having travelled with them for the past 15 years I am a fan. It's certainly not "low cost" just slightly cheaper than Thai (also on a 777)
One of the best Airlines in East Asia after it's Japanese partner All Nippon Airways South Koreans Asiana and Thai Airways. When I was living in Manila Philippines my father told me this he would prefer EVA Air and Thai Airways over Philippine Airlines which is spelt in Taiwan as 菲律賓航空. In my family it's split down the middle with my father always preferring Premium airlines of East Asia Eva air Cathay Pacific All Nippon Airways Japan Airlines Korean Air Asiana Singapore Airlines and Malaysia Airlines. While my mum puts Philippine Airlines first and then the premium carriers mentioned
Starting to really like this channel , having recently subbed . Beginning to bingewatch. Far better than that nob ,Trek Trendy ,with his tight jeans or Non Stop Dan , always banging on about his hideous veganism..and all else. Lots of info..lots of extra info..loads of booze and loads of scoff , all topped off with excellent commentary.
Trent XWB ? The B777-300ER doesn’t have a choice of engines , it’s GE90-115 only . EVA are buying some A350 aircraft and then you will have Trent engines.
I travel frequently and I am finding less and less paper menus, rather they come over with iPads and read out what's available - your stuck in the past mate
"Hello Sir. I am so sorry. It turns out we do have menu's. It's just that nobody ever asks for them. So much so we didn't realise we have them onboard" - - Is it that no one asks. Or is it that pax look around the cabin, notice nobody seems to have one so just presumes there aren't any? Tempered by Taiwanese being, typically, reserved & culturally adverse to 'creating a problem'/ being the one to give the appearance of being overly demanding. And Westerners seeing none in anyone's hand, guessing it's a Taiwanese/ Cultural things not to have them & not wanting to ask and looking like the culturally unaware Westerner.
Technically that is wrong though because the actual name does not have full stops in it to show an acronym. In fact the name is odd because what does the " A " stand for when they also have Air after EVA ? Airways Air? Something is lost in translation. I guess it is similar to how to pronounce Porsche etc etc. Air traffic control call it EVA for instance, so in summary just call it what you want as long as everyone knows what you are talking about.
Thanks for this video. I'm so ready for more, if you're still in the game. I love your droll freeweeling style.😊
Great video, always a pleasure to watch these

Thanks for another great video, I can't tell you how much you have been missed.

Love the Dan Murphy’s reference and the old music was back at the end :)
That first lounge is wild

Excellent video Mr ! We were rolling up at your candid humour ! 😂 Will you be doing the BA review from SIN to LHR I think ? If so, we can't wait ! 😂
It is a niche airline. But is super-premium. Very consistent. Among the best
Your videos just get better and better! You should do this full time. Bollocks to the day job. You could go on holiday by mistake ! Every 3 days ! 🥂
Where have you been? So glad your back
agreed - we need a full time producer of video delights !

Another great video, booze index, I mean lounge index.

Your capacity to sink the piss and stay soberish never fails to impress
It would be worth flying EVA just to see the jellyfish in the lounge!!!!!!!!
