Have you tried the methods in this video? If nothing helps, try to contact our data recovery services. www.easeus.com/datarecoverywizardpro/data-recovery-service.html
Nothing in this video worked for me but if you had the same problems as me where your hard and external disks was selected but external still isn't showing up in disk utility, go to Startup Disk in Settings. Then unlock to make changes then press restart. This has worked every time for me. * This is if you know the USB Flash Drive works*
Thank you so much! Finally my usb showed up! You’re a legend!!!!!!
Also, to check if the usb or port is broken, go into usb tree, and if it’s not their your screwed
my flash drive still says "unable to unlock" and isn't showing on the laptop screen, but shows in Disk Utility, any idea to reformat or to use the drive?
for some reason my macbook pro isn't detecting my USB flash drive. It's not the port, because it works when I plug in other USB devices. So it must be a problem with the flash drive. How do I fix that?
Sometimes your Mac will already have detected the USB flash drive, but it won't appear on the desktop. As a result, go to "Finder > Preferences > General" and check the "External disks" box.
I tried all the suggestions and my external hardrive still doesn't show on my macbook pro. But it shows on my imac. I have tried both usb ports on the connecting hub to my macbook pro, my passport external works on both, so it's not the usb ports or the external. also my sd card doesn't show on my macbook pro but does on my imac.
I think you need one-on-one help from experts. You can contact our disk recovery and repair experts with this link: www.easeus.com/datarecoverywizardpro/data-recovery-service.html

in mac book pro after updating to ventura otg devices stoped working. i cant use my pendrive mouse or anything. all ports in macbook is type c and my device are standard usb so i dont have option only i need to use otg. only me facing this issue or others also
Hi Hari, thanks for leaving your question here. The issue is highly possibly caused by the macOS Ventura update.
Asked our product manager, he suggested that you try resetting the macOS settings to resolve this issue.
You can try the method provided on this page: osxdaily.com/2015/08/09/mac-usb-ports-not-working-fix/
@@Easeus-official Hi i have tried resetting still problem is there. I have searched internet for some solution i found many has this issue but I found no solution for it. I'm waiting for next update to drop if this automatically fix or apple is intentionally trying to cut access to non brand accessories
@@harinandhan123 Thanks for the update. It could be the reasons that you mentioned here. It could be a problematic update that causes this issue, and the next update may help to fix this error.
Anyway, good luck.
i have also got the same issue
my external hard drive is glowing white indicating that it is connected, but it is not showing on the finder
@@atharvrastogi4479 slightly lift or press the port in laptop or remove slowly at one point it will connect. Use it in that way I use to keep pencil below my type c cable. Try in that way definitely will work . Don't try with big object it will damage port try small pen or pencil or something thin enough to make contact this way both device won't damage
What if it shows up as “composite device” under USB on system information ?
It's most likely a hardware issue if it doesn't show up in Disk Utility. You may check if it is damaged physically.
my flash drive is saying "unable to unlock", I did not lock it, it became as such when I was trying to do a backup on my new laptop, now I have no access to the flash drive, please help
It seems that you flash drive is under write protected. To remove the protection, you can first find out if your USB drive has a switch on its side. Locate and turn ON to OFF on your flash drive and then try again to see if it can work well. Hope this post can help you more: www.easeus.com/storage-media-recovery/remove-write-protection-in-windows-10-8-7.html
@@Easeus-official good morning, there is no such switch, I tried using Finder as you suggested, the laptop sees the flash drive but that is all, can't format or do anything with it. Thank you for your assistance

When I go to finder, utilities, system info and select USB on the left hand side there’s no USB Drive showing. Just 2 USB 3.1 Bus options.

@@Easeus-official thx bro
My san disk extreme has suddenly stopped working on my mac book. It's been working fine but all of a sudden when I unlock the drive the drive doesn't appear. However the unlocker tells me the card is now unlocked. It's vanished. So there's no chance of me retrieving anything because I can't even find it.
Yes, the unreconigzed drive is the prior thing to fix. This is a tutorial about how to fix usb hot showing up in Windows. www.easeus.com/resource/usb-not-showing-up-in-windows-10-8-7.html
All I needed to do was use disk utility to erase the usb, then it showed up in finder right after that
If the data in USB is not important, this may be a feasible way
Showing access denied followed by file names that are missing
If nothing helps, try to contact our data recovery services. www.easeus.com/datarecoverywizardpro/data-recovery-service.html
Its not showing in disk utility
