If anything, Justice is the real victim here. Well, one of them. He spent his whole, er, existence, doing his best to be morally upright and abhorring demons of all kinds, but when he makes a friend and tries to help him in the best way he can he's gradually transformed into the very thing he hates, perverting the very idea he'd dedicated himself to.
Which could have potentially been avoided if Anders knew enough about the dangers of magic to question if taking a spirit of justice into his body was a good idea. As it stands, Anders is kind of the poster boy for what happens when someone isn't properly trained.
"where do you not see blood magic".....er the entire game is entirely focused on killing a lot of Blood Mages in Kirkwall. Almost every side quest involved it somehow. It's like every Kirkwall mage took up blood magic.
@@Sleeprocket1My thoughts exactly. The way Meredith treated the mages and even some of her own Templars drove them to desperate measures. No matter how many play throughs I've done, I just can't stomach siding with that woman.
Yeah, I haven't seen it before except in my own playthrough. She only says that if you rivaled her which admittedly is really hard to do. Let me tell you though her rivalry path is totally worth it though. Especially for that moment.
On my seventh go around in this game I played as a mage siding every time with the templars. Meredith is very hard to accept, but then again, the mages do some rotten, rotten things, as Anders does in this scene. Stabbing him in the back was strangely satisfying, after six times forgiving him.
I hate how Fenris is in favor of killing the mages. I get he hates magic cus of tavinter be he should be smart enough to understand how these mages being killed off for another persons crime makes Maredith more like his slavers then anything else.
Fenris is very much a hypocrite when it comes to mages. And Anders is very much a hypocrite when it comes to Fenris; only party member who *approves* if you hand him over to Denarius.
I really wish they had reused sarcastic Hawkes "must you be so dramatic" where you take out the magistrates son who goes after Elven children. Sums up Anders godawful character and writing in this game. He went from annoying comedic jackass in awakening to the avatar of whining personified. His voice actor gave one of the most face punchworthy performances in history. Its like the only way it makes sense is mass psychological disturbance. Even in Inquisition they lampshade the over the top stupidity of it all. Its wall to wall Templar fascist whackos and "muh oppression so I go to demonic blood magic" mages with a handful of sane people standing by the sides shaking their heads. I like some of the characters in this game but my god it really was a cookie cutter monstrosity. Its like 30% of an actual game copypasted to completion. Absolute maximum any sane person can score it is 5/10.

Anders should of met Solas who knows spirit's WAY BETTER than him. He straight up tell him his at fault by spoiling justice virtue
