I just bought five pairs of Levi’s 502 Premium Jeans (40% off Black Friday sale) based on your full Levi Jean Guide video and my wardrobe has never been so versatile. I got light, mid, dark, grey, & black washes. I feel like I unlocked some sort of wardrobe cheat code. You were totally right about the 502! Thank you for your help! You made my life so much easier.

I have 5 pairs of 512 Levis. 2230 rupees each from their official website in India. Close to 29 dollars if we convert. All of them 98pc cotton. Anything have a lesser composition of cotton would never last. Thats for sure. Simply because elasticity would tend to get loose leading to lesser durability as time goes by. Jeans should be tough. Simple as that.

So happy to see this video. I’ve been wearing Calvin Klein jeans for years and absolutely love them. Definite go to and my favorite brand that hold up well, look good, and make me feel amazing. Sadly, I’ve put on some extra weight the last couple years so I don’t fit into the 36x34 that I used to and they don’t seem to have a good 40x34. Looking to get a pair of Revtown jeans now to use while I focus on my health and get back down into fitting in my CK jeans.

A word of caution regarding selvedge under $100: I've seen some cheaper brands actually mimicking selvedge by sewing a fabric strip on the inside to make it look like selvedge. The only brands I've seen pulling actual selvedge under $100 are Uniqlo and Unbranded Brand (which for the record is the "low cost" brand of Naked & Famous).

For the less tahn $50 crowd: I've had really good luck with Lee Jeans, especially their MVP slim cut style. They are durable and have some stretch.

Just started the video. I ordered 2 pairs of jeans from Duer and am expecting them in the mail today. $129 each… Never tried a pair on before but hopefully I made a good choice!
I’m a 30x32, 6ft and 180lbs. I’m not huge but I do workout, so well fitting jeans are a tough find. I’ve been wearing American Eagle jeans, which I like a lot, but I’m 26 and they’re a little more youthful/distressed than I’d like.
Levi’s are also great value but not enough stretch in the seat for me

I found some absolute steals from the GAP, slim tapered fit, all temp jeans. Absolutely amazing for about $20-$30. Of course It ain’t the best of the best quality, but if you take care of them, and don’t wash them after every wear, you can get whole lot of wears out of them.

I wash my jeans after a week or two of wear. I have cargo work pants that I wash regularly, but my jeans can handle the casual/leisure wear. I have found out that Old Navy jeans wear out faster than Wranglers and Levis, but who cares? I would never entertain the thought of paying more than $50 for a pair of decent jeans. Especially since my waist size fluctuates between 33-34 and I hate wearing belts.

Antonio, as a guy who has been around the denim block a time or three, I can tell you the quest for the perfect fit of jeans is like searching for the holy grail. That said:
    Revtown rocks!
I can speak to their jeans' quality, feel, and glute-hugging magnificence -- perfect for my bod. They also have a fantastic selection (great chinos, too!), and I love the pricing.
For higher-end goods, and jeans with a little bit o' stretch, I favor 34 Heritage. Pricey, yes, but worth it. They also look a bit dressier than other elastane-infused styles I've seen. Plus, they hold up better after washing. You can expect to spend between $160.00 and $230.00, depending on the features and, of course, the season.

Texan here, I buy wranglers because it goes with the boots and you can wear them everywhere. I also have owned Levi's and old navy over the years and they are good for extremely casual outings especially if you don't want to wear boots. Stitch fix also makes decent denim pants under their Hawker Rye label, I have a pair of dark black washes and I wear them with tennis or sneakers because of how slim the legs are.

Recently bought a pair of Brave Star. They're great. So are the Unbranded.
    Bonobos chinos are fantastic.
My Calvin Klein jeans are much too thin, but beautiful and comfortable. Every pair rips at the knee within a year so I reserve them for certain situations.
I still rock some Levi's but mine are all from the late 90s and early 2000s. The denim is really thick.
I think for most people, if you have chinos and other pants, you only need 2-4 pairs of jeans in different shades. Maybe a black, 2-3 blues, and maybe a gray.
Definitely would recommend the dark blue denim.
Do a full leg workout in them to break them in. 100 squats while holding them up so they don't form a sag, same with sitting, get em broken in.
    Great video. Great advice.
You can't beat the mass made pants for workwear that's going to get ruined like Levi's/ wrangler/Lee.

As someone who works in a physically demanding Shipping & Receiving environment, I wear Wranglers and Dickies mostly. On the weekends when dressing up for things like Mass or just going out, I am much more likely to grab some chinos or wool trousers. i love raw denim. My first lesson in clothing quality came from my grandfather. He had old pants that didnt fit him, but still in great condition. That old denim was way better than modern options.

I like Lee and Dickies, it's easy to find cheap jeans that fit me well and hold up. One day, I'd like to buy an expensive pair for dressing up, but I am on a budget.
I've tried clothing from The Goodfellows brand at Target; I find their pants don't really fit my body type (chubby, tall but with short limbs- I'm 6'2" with a 29 inch inseam and 41" waist), but their shirts fit me really well. They don't hold up for a long time, but I've had people compliment my $10 t-shirts and $15 casual button-ups from that line.

Personally I've had a phenomenal experience with the Joseph Abboud brand jeans (I purchase Mine through Mens Wearhouse). For the $100+ price point (though they run sales and clearance all the time and they can easily be picked up for around $50 a pop.
I prefer a slimmer fit with some stretch, and I've the same 3 pair for years now, with only minimal fade on the dark wash.
I even stated using a light wash pair as work jeans and they just won't quit!!
    Cannot recommend enough.
A great place to score some Levi's is Kohls (or similar retailer.) Especially around back-to-school time, you can walk in there with some free coupons or hit a BOGO Free or 50% off sale and clean house.

Only kinda agree on the Ralph Lauren jeans, yes you're paying a bit for the brand but they're Alsop the very best fit slim jeans I've ever found and they're my go-to. Never pay full price, check their outlet stores or wait for a sale at like Macy's.

Levis 501s on sale for $50, there is no other.
(Although I cheated and got some Wrangler dark stretch at WalMart for $20 which fit me like a glove, perfect waist and perfect length, so no tailoring. Drove around Vancouver that evening and bought every pair in my size from every store, 12 in total.)
When you find something that fits, buy multiples of that item.

For work wear I like Roundhouse Jeans. For a casual jeans, I like All American Jeans. They used to be a great be value but both just had price increases putting them in the $60-75 category. Even at the new prices I still think they are fairly valued (assuming RH can ship it on time, my one gripe about them). Neither may work for those really into fashion, but between both brands, they work for me purposes of hard manual labor or date night with the wife.

My signature pair of jeans are a pair of true religions that I managed to find at a thrift shop, barely used, at about $20. They fit me perfectly and they work amazingly for when I need to go out for social events, since I refuse to wear them for work (team sweatpants!)

I’ll prob spend up to $150 - $200 on a pair. I always look at the materials, construction, where it’s made, etc. So if it’s a nice medium-heavyweight 100% cotton selvedge pair made in the USA, and it doesn’t have a bunch of tacky branding/logos, I’ll prob drop $200 on them.

I usually spend like $12 to $20 on jeans and most recently bought George jeans and they were definitely comfortable but like you said with having that stretch, the pants do fade quickly even when turning them inside out. I used to get Arizona jeans for $30 and those lasted for me for like 20 years before needing to get replaced. I hate the pockets though as my keys and phone would fall out. It's interesting you mentioned jeans as my nephew who is in high school wants $60 jeans from Pac Sun. He has like two pairs and the color has quickly faded after him washing it. For $60 I wouldn't buy him jeans especially skinny jeans. I never spend that much one jeans as I like to have like 10 jeans . Though I am sure I can find him a better brand for like $20 and get him 3 pairs for $60.

There are tons of denim brands out there that are less well known, but have great cuts and fabrics with a lot of character. (Slub and texture that you won't get from a modern loom)
Anyone watching this video should at least check out Blue Owl, Selfedge, Tate & Yoko, Nudie Jeans, Benzak, Mister Freedom etc. to see some of the stuff I'm talking about.

Walmart and Target sell their own Levis brand. Target sell Denizen Levis for about $25 and Walmart sells Signature Levis for about $20. I have from both stores specially the slim fit. Don’t know if the prices are still the same. I also have about three of four pairs of Levis Silver Tab which they made and sold for a short time in mint condition. Maybe one day they will have some value. To close the comment Walmart also sells Lee which is one of the best fitting jeans for me.
