I’m glad you enjoyed the video. A few people have messaged me now that have the same bike and I think it’s awesome. I’ve been riding mine a lot lately and I’m having a blast with it. Good luck with the build 👍
Awesome! I’ve been putting the miles on mine this summer and I’m enjoying it even more than I expected. Good luck with the build and thanks for watching ✌️
I’ll try and put something in the comments. If you follow the channel, I’m going over another hardtail in a week or so that I used all these same components on. Thanks for the comment and checking out my video 👍
Has it been holding up? I have an old 4500 I would love to do something like this I’ve had it so long I hate to get rid of it, but I know it’s not worth expensive components
I did the same with my 2007 4300😁🤙🤙. I put M700 series (2006-2011)XT🤘🤘. M739 v-brake levers🤙🤙, M760 XT V-brakes👍👍, M770 HollowTek 2 3x crank 👍👍(original hainrings), XT M770 f derailer, M772 XT Shadow long cage r derailer👍👍, 7075 aluminum TITECC H*llbent riser bars👍👍, M772 XT Rap❗️d f!re+ shifters,👍👍 M970 XTR cassette (hopefully the 4 L cogs are 6/4 Titanium 😁🤙🤙), 7075 T6 aluminum Chris King royal navy blue NoThread headset 🤙🤙(with original bearings), 7000 series aluminum Thomsson Elite 130mm stem; and 31.6mm×410mm 7000 series aluminum Thomson Elite seat post. I had Mavic 719 wheels with 750 XT Paralax f hub and XT M756 R disk hub but they wore out years ago l😭l
This bike was stolen in November; thanks to my nephew I got it back🤙🤙. I got a 2nd 4300,a 2005, and im planning on upgrading most of the parts/components with M80000 XT; with maybe M8100 XT 2 piston brakes instead of the M8000 series😁🤙🤙. Thomson Elite 31.8mm 7050 aluminum risers and 31.8mm X4 stems are hard to find. For both would be around 💰400.00🍁; or over 💰500.00 if ordered from Thomson directly 😖. I might go with Deity, I just leared of their bike products a few weeks ago. They have 7075 T73 aluminum risers (Skyline blue or turquoise)for only about 💰145.00🍁🤙🤙 and one of their 60mm 6061 T6 aluminum Copperhead stems. I'd prefer a 90-100mm 7075 T6 aluminum with 6/4 Titanium bolts though 🤘🤘
Does 26 x 2.1 fit the frame? Cause the stock tire of my 4300 is 26 x 2.00. Can I know what's your current tire setup. TIA! More power to your channel bro!
2.1 will fit for sure 👌. I’m running 26 x 2.35 and they do rub the chain stays if I corner really hard. But for the most part they do not rub during normal riding. Thanks for watching bro and good luck with the 4300!
Thanks for the video, the bike looks great. You inspired me to do up my bike. Btw I have the same bike as yours 😀

Very nice you have done a nice upgrade there, i ride a TREK 6000 MTB which i enjoy riding often 👍 Au
Great video!! I’m about to build up my 4300 👏

This is a cool project you did
Thanks!! ✌️
Your welcome
Awesome build awesome video
Thanks!
love the bike keep up the great work👍👍
Studded tires aired down work quite well on winter terrain. Needed better gearing.
What headset did u use
Can you give a list of components you used. I have the same bike, it’s getting a little long in the tooth, and I would enjoy freshening it up a bit

That chain came apart way easier than I've ever had to do it. Maybe it's because I'm wrong with the cheapest of the cheap tools.
Does the slave muzzle offer protection against paint fumes?
How does this end up handling? the head tube angle looks way way less steep than stock, did you put bigger tires on it?
Could you put the links to the parts in the comments section?

I used this bike all last summer and it was mint! Nice and light, I also get plenty of compliments when I have it out on the trails.
I have a 3900 similar to this one and it was a roadside find.
How does it handle without a front brake? Especially as a hardtail.
+bassboy1126 Unfortunately I built this during winter and didn’t ride it much. I’m running a disk brake on the front now.

Would u consider making a motorized kit work with this bike. I have it and want to convert it via ebike kit or engine kit. Lmk!!!
Thinking of buying the same forks how are they working out
+Sean O'Callaghan I don’t have a lot of mileage on this bike yet, but so far I’m really liking this fork and it’s very lightweight 👌
@@DCTaylor281 Thanks, Great Video!
👍 thanks for watching
Pro trick : you can watch series at flixzone. Been using them for watching loads of movies recently.
@Dakari Kellen Yup, I have been using flixzone} for months myself =)
it is truly good work! i have the same bike, can you link me to buy wheels? i m afraid order that dosent fit. please
Dude I can't believe we have the same frame
Me either haha. You still riding it?
Yeah men
Inculcated with disk brakes but I eventually converted it to disc brakes
It was from my brother he gave it to me as a gift
Awesome man! I’m looking into the disk brake conversion myself
Disc brakes next
That’s the plan! Thanks for watching
Why respray the paint job that was original ?
seatpost too low and just one brake...curious and great build.
Very fine job, Sir! I've never ridden a Trek MTB. Is it a smooth or harsh ride? Would love to find one and turn it into a 1X as you did. ✌✌
Niiice
Thanks!
How much spent on this bike?
+salvador pineda I think about $275 US
