I never thought pro players would agree with the "too many swordfighters" thing. I thought that was just a casual player take lol Aside from the echo fighters, most of them don't play the same at all so why does that matter. Most of the big RPG/fantasy world main guys use swords that's just how it is, so I don't really care as long as the gameplay is unique enough.
I'm struggling to put this into words, but I feel like a big part of the issue is that most sword characters have at least one move that kind of "overlaps" with another sword character. Like Marth and Aegis both swing their sword below them for their down air. Also half of them literally have a down b that's a counter 💀I don't care if one sends up while another one freezes the opponent in time for a second, they all essentially do the same thing which is punishing the opponent for trying to attack you. @@drakejoshofficialyoutubech5569Tell me you don’t know anything about these characters without telling me so. First off, most of these characters don’t have similar moves or gameplay. The only characters you can say that about are echoes (which are not unique or more common in swordies) About counters - they’re not at all a swordie thing. Little Mac, Bayonetta, Greninja, Mii Brawler, Peach, the Shotos, Joker - there are more characters without swords that have counter than characters with swords that have counters. It’s just a fighting game thing. And finally, you can’t just take ONE of Ike’s voice lines and act like that’s every swordie’s personality from their game. Before I forget, Falco is for sure a space animal that I'd say you can get a good idea of their personality from just their taunts and victory quotes. I don't know if that's accurate to his personality since I haven't played any of the Star Fox games. That being said, some sword characters DO have some kind of a unique personality shown, whether it's accurate or not is hard for me to say since I don't play JRPGs (unless it's Earthbound). You saying that the line I gave is from Ike is ironic because I actually like his personality. The fact that he uses a 2 handed sword with one hand is one of those simple details that I feel like tells you a lot about the character. I also like how with Marth you're forced to play a more calculated style if you want to land your tippers, not sure if Marth's personality is meant to be the careful strategic type, but if he is then Sakurai honestly nailed that one. I also like what they did with Sephiroth and Roy, but this comment would get to be very long if I explained that. Corrin made people resent Fire Emblem characters in Smash due to the fact that not even Fire Emblem fans wanted her in the game. And Chrom is the epitome of the generic and samey issue. Let’s be real: the first 2 characters getting their asses dismissed like a bad temp for Smash 6 are Corrin and Dark Pit. One remains pretty much universally hated the other has no real reason to be in the first place and now has no relevance at all.
It's sad that Corrin is the FE character that gets the most hate. Corrin is far more unique that Lucina or Chrom or even Ike for that matter. Like sure, nobody asked for Corrin as DLC but I don't think having them there would have been as big of an issue if Lucina wasn't given a character slot in Smash 4
Robin is POOR POOR man's Steve, resource management character who lacks speed bc if he was faster he'd kick some ASSES BRO. Robin can't create floor or walls or get his Levin Sword back on command by "searching on the convoy" (mining for Steve) but in essence they are similar. But Robin is just bad bro

“Robin and Chrom are terrible rep choices” from one FE guy to another, that’s objectively not true man. Awakening singlehandedly revived the series and both Chrom and Robin have the MOST merit of being included besides Marth.
You can’t say Awakening “revived” the series when it came out not long after two of the best games in the series. Awakening also should have been kept to one rep (Robin).
@notachainlinkfence480 accept it did lol. Awakening was going to be the last FE had it not been as successful as it was, hence why there are *three* Awakening reps in Smash and not just one or two. These two "best games" you are talking about did not have that much of an impact on a wide enough audience in comparison.
This in-person content is neat, but the formula works for maybe three videos at a time, not twenty. It's just too dry. Where are the gameplay challenges? Everyone of your players streams, you could pull together funny clips from there. While you have them on the couch, make them do free-for-all smashdown or something. Make them play with Spirits, etc. The game that they all play is where a lot of the variety and humour comes from, so use that. I want this channel to be as good as it can be, and you have some of the most talented smash players in the world, so make them show off and do ridiculous things in the game! The Pros vs Amateurs was a good interpretation of that in a live setting. More of that, instead of a tenth Smash personality quiz
It's never been the amount of fire emblem characters that's been the issue, it's the wrong choice of characters and boring implementation that causes complaints.
Yeah. And it's ironic that Robin and Byleth tend to be the ones getting most of the hate. When they're the most unique characters from the series in Smash.
@ElChicoBush True. If any characters deserve to be removed it's Chrom and Lucina. Marth and Roy already have somewhat similar special moves anyways (a charge neutral B, dancing blade, counter). We really didn't need echo fighters of two characters that are already kinda similar in the grand scheme of things. Besides, do we really need three FE Awakening reps? If they want them in so badly, they'd do better as alts in my opinion
If I had my way with the Fire Emblem roster: Marth - The poster boy of the series Ike - The most popular character in the Fire Emblem community and Intelligent System's favorite character to advertise with. Robin - Awakening, love it or hate it, is still one of the most important Fire Emblem games and Robin connects multiple FE games together. Most popular avatar character and most popular non Lord character after Ike. I recommend a major rework on the moveset though like Ness and Bowser got. HDR even gave them Peach's float. Hector - For the GBA era. Hector is still insanely well liked (most popular character not represented in Smash in any way) as well as represents the armored unit class and an axe weilder. Ephraim, Dimitri, or Azura - The lance weilder. Dimitri is one of, if not the most popular Fire Emblem character currently and is the most popular character from Three Houses. Could easily replace Byleth who is nowhere near as popular as many characters in their home game and cited as one of the game's faults. Azura is the more important character from Fates and more unique being a Lord/Dancer, as well as having fighting animations closely similar to some of Corrin's moves in Smash and utilizing water in her moves, and is the one most involved with the progression of the story. Ephraim is a fan favorite in lances and has some unique fighting animations different from the other two. Most likely, I'd choose Dimitri.

Bigger couch, maybe next time?

Maister disagreeing with trash talking being good for the game 💀💀💀💀💀💀
No hablo inglés we…pónganle subtítulos al español 😢😢
Calling this the '"spectrum" is mad funny
“Robin and Chrom are terrible rep choices”
from one FE guy to another, that’s objectively not true man.
This was jokes. Very well hosted
27% btw
More of that, instead of a tenth Smash personality quiz
sonix was so real throughout this whole thing
Big D is a giant bro
Weird name (spectrum) 🤢. Cool concept and video.
Waluigi for Smash 6!!!
Ima be the best waluigi
The man who is sitting in the middle of the couch and who is obsessed with Sonic will most likely become the best player in the world. Cry about it!
Smash Ultimate Spectrum
aka
SUS
sonix english is good but i gives me npc vibes lol
Put waluigi in smash and give him a sword ❤
Waluigi is a shit character choice.
waluigi shouldnt be added bc his fans are so annoying i dont wanna see those mfs experience joy
Yeah but I play Ridley and his ass should not be here so 🙁
LG really need a better content manager 😂
Villager shouldn’t be in smash 😤
If I had my way with the Fire Emblem roster:
Marth - The poster boy of the series
Ike - The most popular character in the Fire Emblem community and Intelligent System's favorite character to advertise with.
They better be Waluigi in Smash 6 I would definitely main him no matter what no matter if he’s too over powered or over used and there is a million of them like Mario Kart they did my boy Waluigi dirty fr “everybody is here” but he’s not like what 🤦♂️
