TH-cam stopped putting your videos in my feed, glad to see your still pumping out regular videos! Started my 490 build a week ago, can’t wait to follow along!
What you do is awesomely fantastic, well done butty,I’ve had projects where I imagine the colour scheme and stickers etc,but never have enough money, but love watching your vids, the cr 125 vid was brill,
Hell yeah can't wait.... I have a buddy that had a *Yz490* , it was a *monster* !!! From what I've seen in your past rebuilds this things gonna be *BA* thank you so much for sharing!!!
Beautiful Bike! apparently the frame is not broken or bent, that is the main thing besides having an engine, suspension, triple-clamps and tank! Brakes, seat, plastics, cables, wheels, handlebar and levers are not that difficult!
Great video 👍 I can’t wait to see the rebuild I found that the best tool I used in my last rebuild was a vapour blaster with glass bead especially for anything alloy it’s an amazing before and after especially on parts like the swing arm linkage 👍
Yes I understand it’s quite expensive here aswell I approached the company owner and agreed to pay a one off fee to use the machine myself for a couple of hours this was perfect for me as I had so many small pieces.
You are going air cooled! I found it much easier to get parts for my 1986 YZ125 than my 1986 CR125. It will be interesting to see how that goes for you. Yamaha usually does a better job than Honda of continuing to produce parts.
Being a Honda kid growing up, Yamahas were always so bizarre to me. I never knew that 490 shock went under the airbox to the fuel tank. I hope you show the motor tear down im really curious.
Is that 12mm hole on that Spherical bearing at the bottom of the shock pal please could you measure it & let me no has yamaha dont sell for the yamaha dtr but do for the yz 490 and always wondered if it was the same. mine is 26x15x12 please could you let me no here in the comments TNT moto
Lol. Houses start at $800k where i live and Townhouses at $500k. I just cant afford that kind of Monthly payment. So for now i am stuck working outside in the dark.
*150* mm Holy sh¡t, didn't know there was a back tire that size!!!
My brother has same bike so I'll watch this project very closely...

Can’t wait to see the tank restoration 💪🤞. I am interesting in knowing how you make it looks white again

Looking forward to learn from the restoration of the mighty yz490. That tire was almost like a TW200 tire.
Keep the projects and videos coming! Really enjoy watching your channel. The CR builds came out amazing, can't wait for this one!
Nice project bike brother
Great video 👍

I am going to have the motor vapor blasted. Not sure about the rest, it is very costly here.

A lot of 490 parts are still available however the silencer is proving to be very difficult.

Looking forward to this beast getting done. Have to say i was hoping you wouldn't drop that motor on your foot while wearing flip flops brave man🤣
Cool. Hey I thought 83 yz490 was yellow and black ? Just curious 🤔
only in the USA. everywhere else got white and red
Hi mate when are you making the next video
It is winter here now, i do everything outside so going to have to wait for milder weather. As soon as we have nice days i will be out working on it.
How come your not restoring the factory plastic any more ? Hows the new plastic now a days compare to factory quality ?
The plastic was beyond restore other than the tank and front fender
going to be a fun project are you going to convert it to disc brakes..?
No the bike will be restored to as close to oem as possible
Cool video
You should put "y zet" on the seat!
Y ZED?

I will have to get back to you on that when I get a chance.
@@TNTMOTO ok pal thanks for reply
Do you have garages and light in Canada? That allows me in Spain work on my bikes during bad weather. Just kidding.

Ouch. At least there you have good salaries to pay that kind of money. I discovered today your channel, very nice!
@@senor7857 My Salary will not cover a 3k a month mortgage. :(
