I am new to e Mountain Bikes but have been on and around bikes for 50 years but have been invigorated again with cycling, We are just home from a weeks holiday at St Mary's Loch at Cappercleugh which is over the hill from Ineerleithan. We had a run there in the car to charge it on Sunday and was impressed by the number of Mountain bikes and riders and the way the community has adapted to assist i.e. cafes, shops selling parts, tours, instruction and guides. I will be looking out for this festival next year and am gutted we were a fortnight too late this year. I will say that the ride I did up the hill past the sailing club and the farm was really good and the views were spectacular and my son who has climbed a few Munro's informed me that I cycled to the height of half a Munro made the one and a half mile climb worth every minute as was the decent. I am loving your channel and watch it avidly. Thanks
Well done! I love how the bicycling culture brings likeminded people together for fantastic experiences. That looked to be an incredible time. There should be more events like this! Wonderful show boys!
I have given you this compliment already, but I'll do once more here. This is a beautiful video from the colours to the cut. The shots aren't as rapid as most content tends to have these days, but it definitely brings the atmosphere across perfectly. Love your content for that, it's why I watch the show since the early days and still enjoy it. Keep it up your great work.
Wonderful video!!! I rode the Oregon Trail Gravel Grinder last year (a gravel ride through the Cascade Mountains in Oregon). It was a multi-day race, but with a wonderful camp vibe in the evenings. There is something special about riding together and then spending time in the evening chatting over a beverage. Thanks for sharing your incredible adventure!!!
Fantastic event and great to meet Adam, what a lovely guy. Good job on the edit, be great to have a second decent camera for ours!! See You at the next one guys
Great vid Adam looked awsome weekend so what was your position ? Let's see more content of you riding please ..and some epic adventure series again I love those...
I’m digging the format looks like tons of fun without the pressure. Hope it comes to the states some time soon. If not I’ll have to go there I’m owed a trip abroad the Misses just left for Spain so I’m in. Well done Adam!
we arrived in Innerleithen just on the Monday after that weekend and was so good that all the bikers have been gone and we had the trails to ourselves!
Awesome vid - My local is Glentress, but we were away that week so missed this :( Gutted. As an occasional rider an relative n00b, I'm not sure this would be for me, and I struggle to get past the intimidation factor with events like this as an unfit novice with no EMTB mates! One day....
You’re a Hammerhead 😊. Racing on and off since 1991. The atmosphere is incredible family oriented very down to earth. See how I worked that out. Lol. 😊 Raced a few venues in Colorado and raced a few venues in California.
As an owner of the 2nd Gen CX (2017) I'm curious to know how the current crop of motors fare in muddy and wet conditions long term? Are they sealed properly at the cranks either side? This was a major failing on my model, despite best efforts with a "Mud Stop" seal and a crankshaft seal from Performanceline Bearings for the RHS, the NDS/Left side casing was engineered so there was no way of fitting a proper seal as there was not enough recess to house one...I've had a full rebuild at 2500km (ok, Cairngorm Mountains proper off road use only so not complaining) and for me it's always that NDS outer bearing that has gone, and to get to it you're as well overhauling the whole motor, which is giving play now at 5000km so due another overhaul soon!!
Loving the neuron, how do you find the weight? It’s on my short list. I recently rode a Whyte 160e at the Forest of Dean which is circa 25kg and I found it way too heavy on the jumps. Loads of power up hill, just no agility.
Im amazed how hard you can push neuron. Im just about to buy neuron/spectral/strive and cant decide which would suit the best, but after this video neuron might be choise...
The whole camping in a field and shitting in a bucket aspect of such events really puts me off. Just because I ride a bike doesn’t mean I want to give up indoor plumbing.
You can make it as civilised as you want, nice b&bs, pods nearby. I have to take my hat off to Tweedlove the toilets and showers provided were top notch. Great event, you should definitely give it a go 😊
@@hammyh1165 Unfortunately with greed and inflation hotel prices have become such that a weekend at a decent hotel In The area for me and my spouse is the same as a weeks holiday in the Sun…

Have you ever been to a bike race or festival? If not, would you like to? let us know where 👇
Having only just recently got into the E-bike, where are these events advertised?
No would love to. Where do I find them in the USA
Tra-quare. Rhymes with square.
Verbier ebike festival
@@Matt-bt8zt I'd love to visit Switzerland.

This guys just dropped on to the channel out of nowhere and slotted right in great addition
Outstanding vid. Looks like a blast. Will need to get involved in this kinda event.
Great video , you’ve got me hooked

Great stuff! Anyone who says Riding an E bike is Cheating has never done anything like that 😂

It's a real shame he's gone and we didn't know anything about. Adam was so enthusiastic and a fresh face. I hope it just wasn't down to trolling.

Looks great fun! Would like to join next year, any details of the event yet?
Finally you are on a bike 😁 How can you ride with no eye protection? Great event! Would love something similar here in New Zealand.
Was it one course for all abilities ? Some of that looked quite tricky for less able riders.

How does the two battery category work, are there any penalties for using two ?

Do you have to have a Bosch motor to enter or can you race with different brands?
Im amazed how hard you can push neuron.
Im just about to buy neuron/spectral/strive and cant decide which would suit the best, but after this video neuron might be choise...
Hey guys what helmet and glasses does Tracy use in this race?
Was it true that only ebikes sporting Bosch motors, batteries and tech were allowed to compete?
How tall are you ? And what size is your canyon neuron ?
I’d take a Scottish summer over a 110°f for a month in Arizona !!! I’d rather be stranded at the North Pole for a month.

There's a couple of big hotels in the valley , one only about three miles from this event and some five star+ hotels just outside the valley.

Neuron is a very capable bike despite what it says on paper.
