Rehabilitating my Grandfather's 1906 25-35 Win Model 1894. Showing how to loosen a frozen lower tang was music to my ears. Thanks, been looking for how-to-do. Thank you, Thank you, Thank you.
You just saved my Bacon, I have my Grandads Mod 94 carbine, 1917 mod. the loading gate would not go down far enough to load, if you put a screwdriver while holding the loading gate and reach in and push down on carrier ,down goes carrier and gate opens. . Thank you very much for the detaild breakdown.
Great video, thanks! When you get a screw like the one you were dealing with, get a can of air duster for computers. Turn the can upside down and give the screw a quick shot. That blast of air coming out is roughly 200 below zero. The screw shirks and if you wait just one or two seconds to try, it'll break free 98% of the time. It also works great when you're trying to remove iron sights.
I just finished using your guide to put the link back into the action spring plunger on my Remington 1100 and was checking out your channel and saw this and decided why not to take mine apart
Excellent disassembly video, including the historical information. I have found that a mixture of five parts kerosene to one part engine oil (5W-30) works well to loosen tight or rusty screws and bolts. A syringe can be handy to get it where needed.
Great video very informative, still not sure I'm ready to take it all apart... My reason for finding your video, I have my dad's 94, always thought it complete, until recently noticed it's missing the locking block.... not sure how, nothing appears to be broken or missing. I'm going to replace it, but not sure if there's something else I should be looking at that may be broke or missing...
Thank you for mentioning the drilled and tapped tang for the peep sight. I inherited a 1941 Win 94 in .32 Special. The tang is drilled and tapped, but there is no screw, just an empty threaded hole. I was concerned that it might be missing an important part.
What year did they use them in the war wen shipped to Canada and were did they ship them to also what years wer the flat bands made if you know you seem to know a lot about this I’ve heard that the ones with the tangs that has no patent or nothing on them only have one screw but I’m sure I’ve seen them with the extra screw for the sights maybe I’m wrong but it was early 40s just wondering I’m interested in the history of these great guns the same tang as yours have you seen with a extra hole the plain one with the extra screw for a sight
Very interesting history lesson. Enjoyed it. Thank you. In your opinion, about how many rounds before the extractor spring and mag spring needs replacing on the Win. Mod. 94 Ranger?
I've got a Winchester 94 rifle from ww2 that the Canadian coastal rangers used but mines got the original scope with the original scope with it has the original scope and it has the original scope brackets I only paid 300 for the rifle I think it was a good deal seeing that Canadian issued 94s are a rare type of 94
I also own a lot of weapons from ww2 my grandfather he was a first class sergeant in the United States 75th rangers in ww2 he brought Back uniforms weapons personal items and photos but my grandfather is who I inherited my collection from my grandfather he brought Back mausers a gewher 2 Lugers a walther p38 an stg44 a c96 mauser and 3 mp40s he also brought back 3 lmgs he brought Back 2 mg42s and a mg34 he said it took a hell of a lot of paper work for them he also brought back his service weapons his M1928 Thompson and his M1911
I’m very interested in the flat bands they were supposedly produced around 1944 to 47 something like that I would like to know if Truman’s was a flat band it was serial 1 million 5 hundred thou I believe
I have a 30 30 Winchester 1970 94 model I just got it from my grand father and I was cleaning it but when I moved the lever action on it so I can see the firing pin if I tilt in down the fire pin will fall forward and when I tilt it up it will go back to be hit by the hammer is this suppose to be this way
I work on guns all the time, you can't know enough about what you are working on. But if you are just a kitchen table gunsmith then skip the education.

I have a 1956 version of this rifle and so far this video is the best I've seen on disassembly. Thank you!
You are welcome.

It's good to take them apart and inspect now and then.
Great job on disassembly, slow go is much better than going to fast to comprehend. Thanks
You are a very good story teller.
Not sure how to take that...lol

Some of the home recipes work very well.
I would recommend Kroil to loosen those old screws.
Excellent video

It has happened
Very interesting history lesson. Enjoyed it. Thank you.

Run it till it does not work.

Yes, it is a free floating firing pin.
good information thanks
Thanks for liking
Hiw to remove firing pin?
I shouldn't have to fast forward 14 minutes to watch the disassembly on a video titled as such, good knowledge, but still
I shouldn't have to hear people bitch about the video I took my time to make and share to the world for free, but here you are.
I came here for disassembly instructions. Not a history lesson.
I dont give a fuck what you came here for.
