All welded 1436 Jon boat paired with Yamaha 8 HP.

Lake test of 1436 War Eagle all welded flat bottom boat with modified v nose and 1997 Yamaha 8 HP outboard. It is heavier Jon than your ordinary riveted Jon boat and has 1/2 inch thick plywood floor. Top speed was 19 MPH.

They had 3 sizes on the 8hp, its either a 6p 7p or8p im guessing on that set up running at that speed it a 8p

Mines doesn't have nearly the power yours does ,I changed the spark plugs.wish I knew what is the problem.

I HAVE A 1991 8 HP SUZUKI its nowhere near this fast ..two strokes rely on commpression. this is a low hr motor .my opinion

I had a 7.5 on a 12 ft v hull but the speed was no where near that or even a 6. Had the power of a 4 or 5 I cleaned the carbs but still no help any suggestions? Was it because it was a old eska sears motor from the 70s

Those old eskas are a pos. They are extremely underpowerred

I'm looking for a 1448 or up to 1650 with a livewell, casting deck and a 25 hp shortshaft or more. I have a 2013 1236 alumacraft with a 4 year warranty and a 2013 Karavan trailer and a 8hp 2 stroke yamaha 1990. Would trade that and cash.
