WIN THE CASH JACKPOT IF YOU CAN FINISH THIS UNBEATEN SANDWICH CHALLENGE! | BeardMeatsFood

- เผยแพร่เมื่อ 14 ต.ค. 2023
- Today we're at a little spot called Oceanside Sandwich Shop in Hampton Falls, NH having a crack at their as yet unbeaten 'Monstah Sandwich Challenge'...
The rules for this one are a little different, but the long and short of it is as follows...contenders must order two 20 inch subs of their choice from the menu (the only rule is that it must contain meat and no ingredients can be removed from the sub as listed on the menu) and if both are finished inside the rather odd time limit of 53 minutes, the sandwiches are free and you get whatever is in the kitty. If you lose, you have to pay for the subs AND contribute $5 dollars to the jar for future competitors to attempt to win...

Ey up folks! I hope you’re having a fine and dandy weekend and thanks as always for dropping by for another episode…
Tonight’s episode is probably my favourite from the trip, so I hope you enjoy it. I’m currently in the frigid hills of Norway, so I might not be quite as active in the comments section as usual, but I’ll catch up when I’ve got a sec or two spare.
I hope you’ll be back this time next week for the next one and ’til then, eat some meatballs!
Lots of love, BMF :)
Evening mate
Wonderful first shot :) Great to see you enjoying the fruits of your labours. Much deserved X
Beeeeeaaaard!! 😊
Now then, lad what do you know 😂
Absolutely love your content!
I hope Mom and pop places like these get a pick up in business after videos like these. They always seem supportive of you doing the challenges!
Agreed 👍 so many times I have watched one of his videos and wanted to go eat there.. definitely won't ever try the challenges but the food looks so good..
The food here looked really good too, can't imagine this hurts their sales!
They do if people think like you An me because I watch TH-cam food reviews an i go to them spots they be putting us on to especially the mom an pops spots
They also have way better food than chains
I agree and grew up in New England on these small locally owned grinder shops. I’ve never been able to eat Subway. It’s pretty much the same price too these days as the real mom and pop shops.
I love little local eateries like that. People come in, get personally greeted. They know their customers. Just heartwarming.
Awesome stuff
Just wish this sentiment was more universal, and people weren’t so excited to get chains in their are….
Yep ..the good old days❤
@@It-b-Blairyou are so correct about that
@@It-b-Blair When I travel I always look for local places, the holes in the wall, etc. I'd take a place like this over any mainstream sandwich shop.
I’ve lived here for several years now, never knew about this sub place. Ever since this upload they’ve had a new customer come by every other weekend. Best subs in the area
thats awesome, good to support local businesses.
The subs looked delicious!!
Beard has over 3M subscribers, gets millions of views on each video and basically absolutely devours every challenge he comes up against, yet he is still such a humble and friendly bloke. Everything he has achieved is well deserved.
if he was humble, he would have put the $50 in the tip jar.
@@MrRidleyDoghe didn't take the jar or the money.
@MrRidleyDog he left the money in the jar. And your comment just goes to show that people will always find a reason to criticize another person. You need to do better
@@MrRidleyDog and if he did put the 50 in someone would say, he's not that humble he's a millionaire he should've doubled it. like @Turtttle said people love to find a reason to criticize
@@MrRidleyDog
😂 stupid.
I love the fact that you left the money in the pot at the end and didn't even mention it in your video. A true gent. Good job, Beard.
I would like to know how much was in there...
I was looking for the same thing and indeed very happy to see it was there in the final shots. Class act.
@@jemand8962 If you had actually watched the video you would have heard multiple times how much was there.
@@jemand8962he said it was $50 on more than one occasion…
They said $50 on yhe videos also glad it seems he left it! What a bloke!
You can see the money still in the pot after Adam left. He didn’t even take it. A man truly in it for the sport.
I was hoping he would! Keeps the challenge enticing for others who want to try but aren't pros.
I came down here to say this exact thing, what a gentleman, maybe he forgot but I genuinely believe he left it there to keep the challenge going.
I was hoping he would bring it to a nearby food shelf or something, but this is better for the establishment.
I wanted to see if anyone else noticed and i’m glad I found ya’ll
Haha was about to comment that
You're a good person for saying that. They were so genuine and kind. I love that the guy kept saying he didn't think he'd be able to finish but hoped he did! Very honest.
Next time I'm in Boston, I might swing by to check this out. Like everyone else, I hope ruby got a bump in business, too. They're easy to find in Google maps. It's the name of the store, obviously, and they're in Massachusetts.
New Hampshire actually but not far from the Mass state line.
These guys were my absolute favourite from ALL your videos. They don't speak much but you can see their good hearted reactions and well wishes. Even the greeting from the older guy to another customer, grabbing the customers whole hand and touching the side of his head like he is a childhood friend. Absolute gentlemen. BUT, WHERE WAS THE DESSERT ORDER?? 😂 You are slipping Beard!
They have no idea that 2 million people will soon be in love with those amazing looking sandwiches! That meatball one almost made me cry it was so pretty. I hope their place gets a ton of new customers. They all seemed real laid back and nice.
very nice
Not to mention they're whole meatballs, mostly you'll only see slices
@@omgfackdehell I have never, in my entire life, seen a "sliced meatball" anywhere. Not ever. Not once.
@@longtallshorty5791you live a blessed life my friend. Or you aren't inspecting your meatballs as much as you think you are
I’m not claiming to be a meatball officianado, but I believe that if your balls are sliced, they are not meatballs they are simply meat. Or previously baked meat at best 🤷🏻♂️
I love how he still pays for the meal regardless of winning or losing. And if you notice at the end he never took the money from the jar. Well done Sir.
To be fair, he makes decent money from the channel.
His price money is us watching the video. No need to take 50 bucks.
I didn't realise this and its awesome. I just found this blokes channel. Subbed.
@@psychosorcerer9438 Decent lol he's living like a king
Hes a good man and he makes a killing by us watching so fair play
I love people in New England they all sound so sweet, the elderly guy reminds me of my grandfather with how he speaks
For $20 I'd buy one of those subs, they looked great !
I agree 100% I usually down 12 inch meatball subs, these subs look very thick tho so I’d probably only be able to eat one of the 10in halfs. Save the other for later.
i could probably take a couple 10 inch@@Quad373
Part of watching these is how great Beard is treated and how nice he is to everyone, a polite pig….🎈
Sorry I accidentally double tapped .
He certainly IS a POLITE Customer...
What I love is he's supporting mom and pops. They should be tipping him $500 bucks for free advertising.
@@mr.elastomeric1787 No they shouldn't. Free advertising doesn't work how you think it does.
Holy crap, you’re like 3 minutes from my grandmothers house! I love their sandwiches there, and the folks are super friendly. I’m happy to see you enjoyed them 😁
Hey buddy, send us an update if the shop gets more business over the next few months. Really hoping BMF helps these small businesses get more customers through the door so they won't have to struggle ever.
@@gnoscydei went today and there was a pretty decent line and 2 ppl were trying to finish this challenge too! i got whiplash when i got the notif for this vid, (the sandwiches r delish 10/10)

Growing up with old Italians and having a 3rd generation Italian mom; all these interactions are so wholesome and I love it haha
both of those subs looked fantastic. the fact that the meatballs were homemade in this day and age is amazing. man, i wish i lived closer!!!
Love the conversation of all the old guys😂 they’re genuine and super nice. A different kind of human I wish we had more of in this world
definitely characters the lot of them!
Clientele and the staff look like good craic the lot of them, lovely stuff.
It’s nice seeing the professional side for sure. Tbh I’m glad that generation that grew up with such prejudice is aging out though. The past was never better, be grateful for what we have now.
@It-b-Blair lmaoooo are you serious?
The world is worse off than ever...you gotta be a rainbow blm sticker type person
I used to get my haircut in an Italian runplace in my city. The place would only have 1 seat spare and that was for walk in haircuts, every other chair in the place had an older Italian gentlemen and they were all chatting away non stop from the moment I would walk in until the moment I paid and left.
I’m actually passing this shop on my way to Maine later this week, I might have to make a detour! That meatball sub looks amazing.
100% worth it mate
how was it?
I like that you go to those small towns. You’re gonna be a legend there forever. People will tell tales of the bearded Englishman that swallowed 40in of subs. 🎉
@Beardmeatsfood you are the standard for all food challenges. If you can’t do it, then it’s an absurd amount, can’t be done, and must be scaled back. If it’s unachievable then it’s rigged and pointless. You’re a man of the people. Thanks for having such a positive and fun personality. Obviously we love watching the challenges and the delicious food but your attitude and personality make it fun.
I mostly agree with you, but spicy challenges seem to be his only weakness.
I love the 5 dollar added to the pot for failed attempts. All food challenges should have something similar!
I was always wondering why other places didn't do this! Cool to see one with a running lottery. For those challenges that haven't been beaten for years, there could be several hundred dollars in the pot. That would definitely encourage other to try, which would increase the money in the pot more.
@@RavenMobile
i think thats why you should be able to see it.
that will force others to try and with that, you make more money.
maybe sometimes local news if theres a huge pot - and then even more ppl coming.
but sure, you have to make it very hard for usual customers without 3-4 stomaches :D
@@RavenMobile what they are doing is actually illegal. you need a license to run lotteries. small shops can get away with it cause nobody really cares but big restaurants chains would never be allowed to do that.
@@realmasterkushis it really considered a lottery though? It’s not like the winner is a random person and they agreed to put the $ beforehand

Mom and pop shops are so fucking good, I want more of them around me.
British people are great at conversing, even their lowest level rabble would practically be Toastmasters in the US and Canada. I hung out with some young adults in Oxford at a wedding and i was astounded with their vocabulary and ability to carry a conversation, was unlike most of what we have here in North America, I was born in the USA and now live in Canada so im familiar with both countries.
I wish i had a sandwich place like this near me. The food looks really yum and the price seemed good too.
i try mate...that's where the entertainment value is for me...not in the eating of food lol
Thanks to the staff for your kindness shown to Beard
These small town sub or sandwich places are always amazing. I miss having one of those near me.
What a genuine and wholesome man. Deserves plenty of businesses.
I always love when you do small mom and pop shops and the owners/workers are pleasant and supportive it always brings a smile to my face and man did those subs look delicious
I just feel bad that some of these places might end up getting more extra business than they can handle from the publicity. This place was practically empty. Hope they do alright.
@@TheLittleNoobThatCouldyou feel bad that they can get extra business? Then you say it was empty? So you think anything more then empty they might not cope? Make it make sense please 😂
@@TheLittleNoobThatCould They had at least 3 people come into the store over the course of the challenge. I am sure they are doing just fine.
I just love it when you come to restaurants they don't know who you are and they are simply amazed by you. Places in the US seem to be especially amazed! You rock and I hope someday to stumble into one of your challenges.
I always love it when the restaurant staff are cool. The guys were so sweet and I love their accents
Offering a clam chowder for the road was very nice of him, they seem like lovely people
This was so wholesome, a lovely little local sandwich shop an everybody coming in and immediately being told by the shop owners "hey, this guy's doing the challenge, think he'll do it? Hes already to taken down each half in 3 minutes each". You clearly left a good impression on them! Hey were so nice, and those sandwiches looked great! Catch ya on the next one brother!

The whole point of these food challenges is advertising for the restaurant, so you better point it out to everyone and be happy about it!
yeah they were great fellas
It’s was so wholesome when the old guy walking in and his friend was so happy to see him…I bet they’ve been friends for 50+ years 😂😂❤
Love you Adam, a true inspiration.. I love how nobody ever acknowledges how long the challenges are judging by your video duration - I always know You SMASHED it out of the park every single time

I think that one guy was quite upset he won the challenge, especially how easy and quick he did it! He said he was going to have to retire the challenge and if he doesn't, I'd bet he makes the time down quite a bit.

Table Cam this episode caught some of the best people and conversations ever- the folks in NH seem really nice.
When Beardman doesn't ask about dessert menu you know it was tough :)
was thinking the same haha - No cheesecake?!k
I think it was because this place seemed to be focusing on salty take away food, not a restaurant/bakery type of place.
i got the feeling these were once gangsters and Adam felt the same lol “sod the pudding i’m outta here before they take my thumbs’ 😂

Legend in that little hole in the wall forever. I wish I was close to the place, I'd love to try their subs. They looked good and a 20" sub for $20 bucks seems like a pretty solid way to go. I'd probably get 4 meals off of one of those subs.

I'm from Texas... I adore the old timers from this region... Those old-school new englanders are a breed apart... They have all the pride and stones of us, but the rough edges have been worn off... Mad respect.
aye a lot of the folks around here were lovely
Lot of Northerners moved down here to work the oilfields when the auto industry and affiliated businesses cratered in the 70's / 80's. There's still a few of the old schoolers left around here and they are definitely a unique breed. Some of the coolest most laid back people you will ever meet, but totally capable of smashing your face in if you mess with them.

I think what I'm impressed most about is how clean he did this challenge. 20" of meatball sub and 20" of chicken parm sounds like it would look like a bomb went off on the table, but beard barely got the butcher paper dirty. Those looked so yummy. Now I'm craving chicken parm.
These challenges are better than the ones that give him 12 slices of bread and 4lbs of fries.
I’ll make you a chicken parm ❤️
A little trivia for those that are interested, The red stripes on the water bottles indicate that they were purchased out side of the state of Maine. Maine has a $.05 bottle deposit and the only way to get it back is to recycle them. Poland Springs (the bottled water company) is located in Maine so they have to identify bottles that are sold outside of the state of Maine. It's a whole industry up here. Born and raised Mainer here. Side note the "-ah" on the end of words is really common in New England, mostly in coastal towns.
I'm old enough to remember taking coke bottles back to the store in WV.
