- In today's episode, we're at Funky Fries & Burgers in El Cajon, San Diego. We're having a bash at their Funky Challenge, which consists of four stacked burger patties, topped with bacon and cheese, sandwiched between two mac 'n cheese 'buns' and accompanied by an tray full of tater tots; topped with more mac 'n cheese, grilled chicken and hot sauce...
If you can get it all down inside thirty minutes, you get the $50 meal FREE, a t-shirt, a snapback and a plaque mounted on their wall apparently. I didn't see any plaques on their wall, but that could be because the only victors so far attempted this at their other location. Either way, we're gonna try our darnedest to become the third winner!

I'm pretty sure he does it to make it look like he doesn't know what he's doing so they don't think "oh, we got a professional on our hands" and make the portions bigger on the sly. Obviously most restaurants wouldn't do this, but some do.

Could have been that he's on the back end of a trip and trying to avoid adding to the no doubt massive calorie count. He didn't seem like he was having too much trouble finishing this one. Not to say that it was an easy one but I feel like I've seen him order dessert after worse.

honestly, that was some deserved praise. Not many people can handle a meal that large, and in a way we all imagine ourselves being you, eating a motherload, being exceptionally human

He rarely does desserts on his food tours around the US. It’s added calories he can’t afford to consume since he does multiple challenges daily for a week.
Worth mentioning, the only desserts they have is big ole milkshakes...that's a tall order after a meal like that.
