Hi! I love your vids! I have this camera and I’m struggling :( I’m a hairstylist and I want to take pictures of my work. In my salon it’s super bright and white during the day and I have a hard time getting my client not bright and washed out. I want them to be the focal point. What settings can I do?

dear sister, I tried toi take a photo woth a blurry background but cant take it good, how long we can zoom an object to take it in a blurry background? can u pease teach me?
Make sure you are close to the subject and the background is far away from the subject. It's best when the background is at infinity. Use flash for best effect. Focal length of around 50mm is sufficient.

Turn on ambient light that may be getting reflected in your work. Don't use flash. If using flash, use a diffuser to spread the light more evenly.

Sonia can you talk about filers for the Nikon Coolpix B500? Will it take one. If so which one is recommended. Should one be used to protect the lens?
I have never used filters for my B500. Sorry cannot help much there. I rely on the lens cap to protect my camera.

I have a b500 but my camera's menu doesn't look like yours. More video on the camera and how to find items on the menu than on you would be helpful.
Make sure your camera is on Auto Mode for full menu options. My camera is my friend and I love vlogging.

You can use the USB cable to connect the camera to laptop. Buying a longer cable can help in more ease in operation.
