      Let suppose, Mr. Kamran has a family of 4 persons i.e., Ameena his second wife, Asad, Aslam, and Mehran his three sons. Asad and Aslam were born to Ameena, while the Mehran’s mother has died during his birth. Now, write a prolog program that can answer for the relationship of real brother.? Solve it

      Hi David just a heads up on a minor gotcha for anyone installing this in the UK. The CML vm uses a US keyboard so the passwords you set will be different to the symbols on the keyboard if you are using a UK keyboard on the hosting system. I found I could login in via the Sysadmin account on the VM but couldn't login in via the admin account on the Browser on my host machine despite using the same password for both because despite using the same physical keys the host machine and vm where sending / seeing different characters. It took me a little while to suss what was going on. I almost reinstalled the vm because I though I initially though I had made a typo when setting up the admin password the confusion was caused by the " and @ keys.

    Thanks David for this awesome video. I have been using GNS3 to prepare for my Encor exam for a while now but using CML 2.0 makes studying and practicing very easy because all the tools you need are pre installed and available on one screen. I had some issues installing cml but after watching your video it was like a miracle! Thanks again for all that you do and I'm sure many aspiring network engineers like myself and those around the world truly appreciate you. Thanks!

    Great tutorial. Got things running fairly easy following your video. I'm using Wifi for internet on my laptop. I had to select NAT as opposed to Bridge in the network settings. For some reason I could PING the IP address of CML when using bridge, but the URL wouldn't resolve. When I switched to NAT, I was able to resolve the URL.

    Great job David. I saw the 5/12 video and I am up an running today on CML 2.0- so much easier than previous VIRL. Thanks for notifying the community otherwise I would have missed when it was available and not get to until months later. Light years over the crappy old VIRL setup that took hours and was hair pulling especially if you were one of the first users in 2014. Now let the fun begin. I expect folks to try to link their gns3 labs to the cml labs on the same box(if you have the ram so I may try it. - LOL) I am running this on an ASUS ROG laptop with 64 gigs of ram and gave CML 16gig. I may up CML to 32gig as my GNS and old VIRL was setup for. I may try this on an AWS EC2 Instance too when I have the chance. Thanks again for getting us up and running quickly. Cisco should be sending royalties to you ;)

    Thanks David for always staying ahead of the pack. You're the only person out there putting out info on this. I was able get it up and running. But, with 20G of RAM on my device and allocating 16G to the CML VM, my devices didn't boot up nearly as fast as I saw the devices boot up on your video. There's even a large delay from the time I enter a command to the time it shows up on the screen.

      Have you got nested virtualization enabled in the BIOS of your computer? A lot of the Cisco devices boot slowly. You may need to wait until they settle down a bit. My video is quicker than in real time :) Did you allocate enough CPUs? Do you have a modern device with recent CPUs?

    This install is so much nicer than previous versions, and oh man is the new HTML5 browser option better than VM Maestro (that thing was terrible).
    I do hope that they add some new topology UI options in 2.1 though. Aside from a dark theme (even my dark theme browser extension can't fix all of it, and the all white is blinding), I'd love to see interface labels, IP address labels, perhaps OSPF area dividers, etc. Right now, it looks like you just have the white screen with the device icon, and the unlabeled link between them. Don't get me wrong, it was important that they get the product working, and the functionality looks very nice for the hour I've used it. However, some quality of life improvements to the topology UI would be a welcome change in the next version.

    Hi Kevin, could you please tell approx. how much RAM and CPU would be required to run 20 CML-P nodes? I am asking with reference to only IOSV and IOSVL-2 nodes so in total 20 of them running simultaneously. It will help me in deciding the specs I need to look for when buying a Laptop. Thanks!

      How many nodes are you able to run on your machine?

      @@Soundwave-F7Z Depends on hardware. CML supports up to 20 Cisco devices or imported devices. So, you could run 20 Cisco devices and 10 of the built in Linux PCs. November 2021 and still relevant, thanks for the video David. Quick question, I enabled debug on the routers on my lab and I don't see any messages coming up, do you know if CML does not support this? or I am missing a command to activate it ? (I'm trying to see the hello packages when enable OSPF on both routers)

    • @scorpio_1312
      @scorpio_1312 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I found it ! My routers had the (no logging console) command applied in global configuration mode, once I disable it I was able to see debug messages on the console to verify hello packets in OSPF. I'm just leaving this comment here in case someone else run into the same issue later.

      @@davidbombal appreciate the quick reply here. Looks like it isn't nearly as intuitive as terminal access in gns3, where you can just click a node and it automatically opens the session in secure crt. Would be nice if that changed in the future, or if Cisco implements multiple tabs within cml itself.

    • @davidbombal
      @davidbombal  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      This is remote SSH sessions. In GNS3 you have a local client. If you only use the web hi and no thick client you have to install extra software or ssh to the IP and port number. This isn’t complicated- once you get the hang of it you jay ssh to cml and auto send the command to open the console

    My install is on VM Workstation Pro and everything is installed and licensed correctly.

    I can see the Images in lab manager and can make and start connections on the work bench
    ...eg if i start IOSvL2 it starts up eventually i can login and use sh cmds etc
    If I try this with other images eg CSR or IOSv or ASAv .... it just hangs... no response or details on console
