I got the same problem few hours ago. I was going on downhill and missed my exit. It was late night, so I reversed it and suddenly when I put transmission into reverse D light also appeared and started blinking. I turned off the vehicle, restarted it and blinking disappeared. So I drove another 15. Miles till I reached my place and I am worried that I might completely damaged transmission.
What if all the gears are blinking except for park. D N and R are all blinking and whenever I hit the brakes I hear a clicking from the automatic shift knob. If I had to guess, I'd probably say it's the brake shift solenoid.
I'm having a similar issue while the transmission shifts its starting to slowly taking longer to shift from 3rd to 4th gear otherwise I love my TL great cars 😎

I have 07 Acura TL Type S. Engine light came on and sometimes the gear indicators on the dash won’t even light up or the D blinks. I scanned and got P1717 TRANS RVS Switch Circuit Range / Performance. P0615 ENG Starter Relay Circuit. P1717 MOD $0E RVS Switch Circuit Range / Performance. Any idea what sensor it actually is that needs replaced w those codes?

My D light flashed once in my 2011 Honda accord. I had no rpms and speedometer read 0. I pulled over at a gas station turned my car off waited hoping it would start again and it did. I have 110000 miles on it and do need a tune up. Is there anything you could recommend.
Could be anything transmission needs to be scanned for codes you need a special scanner to scan these codes.

I have a 2005 acura tsx ..wheb i get to 2nd gear my cause like over revvs around 20mph.. always around that speed...been like that for about 9 months...now today when i came from the store to park the car the D light was flashing..so i parked n turned the car off and back on and it wasn't flushing no more.. Hey if you still have your ride to get rid of the engine sound you gotta change your pvc you must get the original part and not the cheaper one or else the sound will come back to know if that’s really what causing the sound run your engine and unscrew the oil cap and you will hear air come out and the sound should stop and when you tighten the oil cap the sound will come back but yeah about your video my D light is blinking but the transmission is doing good so I have to change a sensor do you know how much sensor will cost and for someone to put it on for me

Have honda fit 2005. First start in the morning, shift to d, and car doesn't move and d blinking. After 5 or 8 minutes the car move slowly. I restart the car and everything is fine. I have scan the car, and p1880 show. I have change the speed sensor, flush the trans oil, adjust the TPS. Car move smooth when run. Any advise for me? Thanx

The issue with my D4, It always start blinking after driving for 4 mins, but if i put the car on neutral (N) and off the engine and ON back, it we work fine again for like 4-5mins and start blinking again, but the gear is selecting fine. pls what is the way forward.
All you have to do check if any of the sensors is broken or you check the starting sensor which model of honda is that?
I have a Honda Pilot LX 2010, 310K. Once I hit 310K this morning, the D light flashes. Once a week, my check engine light flashes, I lose power to accelerate when on the highway but my cruise control will keep speeds 65+ until I hit a ramp or gas station. I shut the vehicle off for 15 minutes and start it up and it is like nothing ever happened. Starting to happen more and more but it beats a new car payment. Secondly, I have about 20% power when going in reverse, not even enough power to go over a curb, very unlikely anyway. Lastly, when I park at a incline or decline, my vehicle will shut off in park or drive, but not neutral. I am not a car guy, just a dude that drives 700-1K a week and doesn't want a car payment. PS...Any thoughts?

Its happening to my 03 Honda Pilot w/ 137k....you think its the same transmission pressure switch issue or will a transmission flush do the trick as well? Been hesitant to get the flush though cuz I heard when you do that the transmission goes shortly after...any tips wiuld be greatly appreciated..

I scanned my car and the code P1298 popped up . It was the torque converter clutch solenoid. I replaced it with a used one and it is still doing the same thing.. any reasons why??
Don't use a used one buy a new one and reset the code for the transmission
Hey i had a problem with my transmission like 5 months ago the car wouldn’t got over 35 then didnt move at all no lights went on or anything and so i got my transmission rebuilt and when i picked it up the D light would blink and then it stopped for a while and now on it does it on random days it does have like a little weird shift or something when going from like 35 to 40 what can this be

I’ve had this issue since I bought the car but I worked around it by holding the gear stick in it’s sweet spot...today however the drive light started blinking and even if I had the gear in reverse and the reverse light was on the drive light still kept blinking. If it is the park sensor..is it the same part that you replaced on your other video with access through the driver tire?? Also do you think this could be a different issue??

I have a Acura tl 2000 with 195,000 miles reading p1676 & p1709 codes but the transmission is shifting fine what would be the problem just the sensor? And how serious is it will it cause further damage if not change immediately ?
Could temperature affect it? Like today it was 10 degrees when I woke up and it started flashing after I drove a few minutes but then I turned off the car and started it later on and no flashing? Never blinked before but I did have it rebuilt months ago.
No blinking light means somthings going on get it scanned by a all system scanner.

Hi,am having the same problem as you but the only thing different is that when the D is flashing it loses power do you think it is the same thing.
I have a 2005 TL and the Drive light was blinking. But when I drive it, the car will go into gears but at certain times the gear will feel stiff and slow my car down and I can’t drive unless it’s under 35 mph. And sometimes when I reverse it sounds like a cranking sound before it reverses. What do u think about that?
Idk the car has to be scanned for codes and it sounds like you have broken engine mounts too.
Just a quick thanks for the vids over the years. Question for you if you have a minute. My 05 TL automatic threw a code up and it is P0957 auto shift manual mode circuit low. In addition the D light is blinking on dash with check engine light. It can be driven some if the auto shift is used. It will not change gears automatically. Any ideas? I just put 2k into the car for a water pump, belt etc.. Thanks again.
my 08 civic hybrid has the blinking D light. When im driving and kinda press on gas then it kinda jerks instead of shifting...then I let go the gas and slowly step on gas until it gradually picks up speed and it will shift with no problem. One day while I was at the traffic stop the car started jerking and going from one gear to another, then I turned it off when I try to restart it, it won’t start again till date. I towed it to Honda and they keep charging me for more money testing but yet to find the problem
Has there been any updates done to the car has the transmission fluid ever been replaced and is the hybrid battery god cause when they start to get bad they start giving issues .

In Edmonton, the last two weeks was extreme cold. I was -30 to -45 average. One night my honda odyssey 2007 was started kind of pushing/ jerking and I noticed that the D was blinking and the engine light was on the dashboard. The next day I took it to my friend's house to see if I can see the code. He looked at with his machine but he deleted it to see if it is permanent code it will come again. But he forgot the code and I was not able to know the code. After that extreme the Van was okay and no D blinking situation. But I feel a kind of pushing very light not noticeable. Can you please advise me on what can I do in this situation. I have kids and I do not want it to stop middle of the road.

Go to a shop with a all system scanner and recheck for codes.

I WOULD GET THE TRANSMISSION SCAN FOR CODES AND GO FROM THERE SOMTHING SIMPLE THAT A SCANNER CAN TELL YOU EXACTLY WHATS GOING ON.

What kind of pressure switches did you buy oem or aftermarket.
@@fabolousg4ever I bought OEM switches. The d light was blinking a day after for 15 minutes. Been driving it since it happened and it didn’t come back yet. Hopefully it just adjusting to the new one or something. Just strange. Wondering if that’s normal

On my 05 tl with 205k the drive light doesn't blink but when you shift it into drive it sits for a few seconds then engages into gear once it does I hear a grinding noise I drives until warm then it won't move ( engine running)

@@anthonycapezio3990 No Anthony the transmission went I replaced it then the timing belt broke the navigation system touchscreen needed to be repaired and I decided to cut my loses but good luck with yours

@@anthonycapezio3990 I had a 02 TL also started having transmission trouble with it over time the repair was going to cost more than I paid for the car ( it was paid in full at the time ) so I sold it just to get rid of it. Wasn't until my 05 I did my research and found this to be a common problem.

check PCM harnesses. They can be unplugged and plugged in to reseat/clean them.
So what if your getting the blinking light but no codes are popping up when u scan the car ???
U need a special scanner to pick up most transmission codes that regular basic scan tools don't pickup.

Mines flashing D intermittently. Sometimes it does, sometimes it doesn't. I got a lil scanner but no codes. Trans shifts fine, fluid is fine. I've checked scanner as D was flashing but still no codes pull up. How do I get these stores codes? I got a 2007 Honda Ridgeline, not allot of info found on these except take to dealer.
No you need a scanner that can scan transmission codes the scanner you have probably doesn't have a scanning transmission feature go to autozone or advanced auto for them to scan it for you
Thanks, didn't know if I could jump pins and get fish codes or something. I remembered I had another scanner that I didn't like. It has the feature. Says the 3rd gear switch. They are cheap, I hear it's common. So I'm gonna change it. Thanks for the input.

HAVE YOU SCANNED THE CAR FOR CODES IT COULD BE A SENSOR CAR NEEDS TO BE SCANNED FOR TRANSMISSION CODES.
