      At the time of the review I was having stability issues due to the processor which have since been resolved

      @@mikesunboxing i did forget that i left out that the cpu has to have a certain series in the motherboard
      but great you got it sorted out mike
      either bios update or replacing it with a 5000 series i bet or 7000 series
      great news you have it sorted.

    Some of the kingston fury ddr5 in hynix A , so will clock higher than this, just upgraded using teamgroup wich is also same speed MT6000 as these with hynix n .... but in an Intel build 13900kf and arous master z790 (ps it hated corsair dominator wich is micron)

    Nice RAM but I want 48GB sticks at 32CL or less 6000mhz. In time I hope these will be available.

    Good looking bit of kit this, nice one Thermaltake ! I mean yeah its got that RGB stuff that gives an extra 50 FPS etc lol but other than that it looks gorgeous. Thanks Mike n' Kath

    I cant wait to get a new set up this year with DDR5. Been using ddr3 the past 8 years

    Nice looking ram and amazing how many trfrs these do. As for ddr4 it seems latency increases the higher the trf speeds. In my tiny brain i wud expect latency to be reduced 🙄 Think my Ballistix 3000 are cl16. Thanks for sharing Mike and Kath🐈👍

    • @mikesunboxing
      @mikesunboxing  ปีที่แล้ว

      yeah i know what you mean, but as the frequency and bandwidth increase the latency increases but proportionally. and as DDR5 is like double DDR4 so divided by two and the CL36 is then about CL18 so generally the same kind of

      @@mikesunboxing still DDR5 ram will be faster as it has different memory architecture and DDR5 board will handle D5 differently.
      D5 also has its dedicated cache memory and controller installed on ram itself.

    Until this day. I've been curious about RAM's speed. Are we looking at the CL or the MHz?

    • @mikesunboxing
      @mikesunboxing  ปีที่แล้ว

      Both are important in different ways and they can be adjusted to make the ram better for certain situations, most gamers will look for lower CL ratings number crunchers might prefer the frequency to be higher

    Nice looking kit, really liked the white and orange you showed

    I was looking at a 7000 build instead of the AM4 build. Is it really worth getting a DDR5 board over DDR4 if I changed to team blue & what is with the limited 8GBx2 kits, most are 16GBx2. Not sure it is worth going for a 5000 build with the 7000 in play however it's an increase of £100-200.

    • @mikesunboxing
      @mikesunboxing  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      yeah it is a gamble at the moment, for future proofing obviously DDR5 is going to be the defacto standard for the next few years like DDR4 before it. adoption might be slower this time around due to the massive user base now compared with the early 2000s when PC was still a luxury rather than a domestic appliance.
      there are still excellent deals to be had on AM4 and DDR4, as there always are on outgoing platforms so it depends how soon you plan to upgrade and what your needs are.
      For the hobbyist and nerds then i think adopting the new standards early is part of who we are

    Hi, I would like to ask about the boot time of the MSI B650 Tomahawk board. Is it true that every time I turn on the PC, I can get to Windows only in a minute? thank you

    • @mikesunboxing
      @mikesunboxing  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      there is an option to use fast boot mode that doesn't try and retrain the RAM every boot, and the new beta bios helps, but it is still slower than any DDR4 machine i have used

      @@mikesunboxing thanks for your answer, can you tell me approximately how many seconds it takes to get to windows? one more question about audio codec, I know that this board has an ALC4080, but is it true that there are problems with this integrated sound card? I mean like hissing or delays in sound effects...etc. I am not sure which one to get, this or Asus TUF B650 Plus Wifi or Gigabyte B650 Aorus Elite AX. Thanks

    You know I love me some RGB lights and that's some cool looking RAM. I have just ordinary DDR5 ram with no lights. I'm kind of jealous!!! Lol
    Wonder when DDR6 will be out???

    These memory looks good in your setup. The rgb mix well with the white case. Ddr5 will be next year for me as I used the computer budget to get a 3d printer this year. I hope that there won't be any penalty on speed if using 4 sticks as it is now. I would like to get 32gb at build time and add another 32gb later like I did with my 5950x.

    • @mikesunboxing
      @mikesunboxing  ปีที่แล้ว

      there will be some downclocking needed with 4 sticks much like the early b450 days
