Thank you for the informative videos on the Turtle Beach Stealth 600 Gen 2 and this comparison with the Sony Pulse 3D. I've used the Gen 1 Turtle Beach and always been very happy with the directional sound and sound profiles. I've tried several other brands recently and nothing compares, so I'm purchasing the Gen 2 versions for my Xbox One X and PS5.
I actually returned the Pulse to get the Turtle Beach after 3 weeks of using. The main reason is comfort. They are not the best comfort gaming heatset out there but if you have big head and ears like me, the round shape ear cup of the Pulse is very painful the wear. My ears hurt after just 30 minutes. The actual headband cushion of the Turtle Beach is way mor comfortable than the plastic self adjusted headband of the Pulse. Buit quality are the same. In term of sound, the Pulse sound a bit better as the TB is a bit more base heavy however, again be cause of the round shape ear cups, the Pulse did not isolate noise as good as the TB. Finally, the Pulse connected to my PS5 in just 3 second while the TB takes a bit longer.
@@unboxinghype813 relief to hear someone has the same problem. I felt sad when I have to return the Pulse as I really love the look of it but comfort is my main priority. The TB is not really comfortable but it’s still beter and in my budget.

Maybe it‘s just me, but i think the only (big) advantage of the Pulse 3D is the battery status icon. That‘s the biggest downside of the TB 600. But since it has a battery life of about 15 hours, i plug it in like every 2 or 3 days and i‘m good. Still would be cool if it had the battery status. Mic is better, sound quality is better, it fits perfectly onto my head... i love it! What i also loved, when i head a PS4, was the mute function. Just tuck up the mic and it‘s muted. Flip it out and it‘s unmuted again. That function is pretty much obsolete now with the mute button of the new DualSense, but it‘s still good to know, if you‘re a PS4 user. Btw, you forgot something. Noise cancelling and mic monitoring on the TH 600 is pretty cool. I don‘t know how it is on the Pulse 3D tho. Great video with clean edits. Keep up the good work!

So, I actually got the Stealth 600 Gen 2 as a birthday gift. Now that I am planning on getting a PS5 soon I was very happy to see a comparison video between the Pulse headphones and mine. I wish you would of tested the 3D audio on the stealth 600 though since it’s supposed to be 3D audio ready.
In my opinion the “3d audio” sounded better on the 600 gen 2. 3d audio is really a feature of the ps5 and not the headphones. Any decent gaming headphone will be “3d audio” ready.
I love my turtle beach headset it’s comfortable, it has good mic quality, and it has really good 3d audio and quality of audio but a huge issue that a lot of other people have is that it tends to static very often and gets super annoying and I have tried everything and nothing works to fix it

These headphones are fantastic for using on the Oculus Rift s. I was using Turtle Beach headphone from 2010 and WOW! Those were great. the material on the ear cups started to peal because of It's pleather which is the fake leather so I'm buying a new set of headphones. I ordered the Turtle Beach Stealth 600 Gen 2 to replace my old headphones. You have to Try the Stealth 600 Gen 2 on a VR headset before making reviews on it. I wonder why there are no headphone manufacturers that advertise their product for being used of VR headsets. Turtle Beach should start doing that because in their Stealth 600 Gen 2 there is a mode called Supper Human Hearing mode. That right their is a technology that VR gamers would love to use when gaming. Turtle Beach just keeps on advertising their product for Xbox and PlayStation and they are missing out on telling VR gamers to try Turtle Beach's headphones.
Play around with combos.. I found the best way to use the Pulse 3d is plugged into a turtle beach earforce super amp and then plugged into the controller.. that ways you get the benefits of both
Man, this is the best comparison vid by far! One question man, you forgot to mention how to activate/deactivate the mics... I mean, in my opinion I know the Turtle mic is more practical since it just takes a quick flip but I don't know how the Pulse 3D mic works.... can you give us some light in there please? Thanx again.
@@unboxinghype813 The HyperX Stinger wireless look okay for the price. I've read lots of issues with the Stealth 600's and 700's not connecting properly and static on the PS5. People just flat out returned them per bestbuy reviews. The Astros seems to have better connection but price is crazy. I noticed that the 700 pictures that if you have a big ear, it wont fit inside, more like it presses on your ear. I have a nephew that plays and he is 7. He is on a hyperx recon one and its lasting forever (wired to ps5 remote) Im kind of leaning towards the 600's because of the ear fit inside. If I have bad luck on connection on new headset im getting soon, I might just get a HyperX Stinger or Astros. Its his bday this week so I want something for him and at the same time to fit my ears LOL.

Got the turtle beach 600s. It literally feels like the ear cups are shaped backwards/the wrong direction. It’s very irritating. My pS4 gold headset was falling apart but it’s WORLDS better than the new 3D pulse by PlayStation. Starting to think it’s better than these Turtle Beach ones as well. Irritating is an understatement.
I replaced my earcups on the 600 for the same reasons. You may want to try to 700. The earcups on the 700 are waaaay better than the 600 and the 3d pulse.
Im debating between Razer Kraken Tournament, Pulse 3d, and the Turtle Beaches. I like the look of the Turtle Beach the best. I need to use with PC and PS5. The Kraken seems to have the best Surround Sound on PC, and the Sony on PS5? Or is the turtle beach surround sound as good as the Sony on PS5? I hear there is a new PS headset. I haven’t checked it out, but I know the turtle beach will do you good. I would get the 700 version though. It’s a lot more comfortable.
Good choice i bought both they are great. Pulse is better sound quality because it has more sound modifications. 600 gen 2 is more comfortable and durable and still has pretty good sound
i aint gone lie the turtle beach mic sounds way better it just looks like the playstation one has more features but its not actually better than the turtle beach
The stealth sounded way better, alot closer to the mic you use for your videos. The others sound washed out. I got a pair of 600 Gen 2 MAX today, so far I am very pleased with them.
@@unboxinghype813 I just got the turtle beach ones let me tell you how great they are the foam around your ears keeps them cool plus the sounds is so clear . You can tell they expensive for reason .
Go look on the website or in your menu. They are done by the beeps they ring. Like I like high bass so when I hit the button for the sound equalizer so I hit it until I hear 3 beeps.
How does the sound of the TB Stealth 600 compare to the 700? I have the 700 for my Xbox Series S and they are fabulous but they’re not compatible with the PS5 I have on order. The 600s cost over £40 less but I’m wondering if I’ll be sacrificing anything apart from the ear pad material if I go for the cheaper headset?

So I still can't decide after watching this video. Im torn between the seamless PlayStation integration on the pulse as a dad who never has time to game anymore but if I do go online it's for an fps usually battlefield for me. So should I just get the turtle Beach?
I hear there is a new PS headset. I haven’t checked it out, but I know the turtle beach will do you good. I would get the 700 version though. It’s a lot more comfortable.
@@unboxinghype813 ended up getting the blackshark v2 x for $60 Canadian at bestbuy. Actually a surprisingly good quality for a lower budget headset.

Good choice i bought both they are great. Pulse is better sound quality because it has more sound modifications. 600 gen 2 is more comfortable and durable and still has pretty good sound
i aint gone lie the turtle beach mic sounds way better it just looks like the playstation one has more features but its not actually better than the turtle beach

It was. The biggest thing I did t like though was the comfort aspect.

The stealth sounded way better, alot closer to the mic you use for your videos. The others sound washed out. I got a pair of 600 Gen 2 MAX today, so far I am very pleased with them.

Got the midnight black ones 2days ago. Returned it yesterday. Was dissatisfied. It sounded louder and pretty good wired but wireless was trash
I hear a lot of peeps prefer wired, but I can’t stand having wires enough to try them.

Got the Stealth 600 Gen 2 pretty cheap, it’s great but it’s super annoying that you don’t know which mode you’re using
I feel you! The more you use it you’ll get used to it. I’m just happy They just tried to at least throw a lot of features in there for the consumer
Go look on the website or in your menu. They are done by the beeps they ring. Like I like high bass so when I hit the button for the sound equalizer so I hit it until I hear 3 beeps.

How does the sound of the TB Stealth 600 compare to the 700? I have the 700 for my Xbox Series S and they are fabulous but they’re not compatible with the PS5 I have on order. The 600s cost over £40 less but I’m wondering if I’ll be sacrificing anything apart from the ear pad material if I go for the cheaper headset?
You get a bit more power and comfort with the 700s. I really need to get this review up
