The original ear pads are HORRIBLE on the stealth 600, by far one of the worst we have ever encountered. However, if you somehow ended up buying them and still have it, custom ear pads are going to solve this for sure.

I was wearing the headset when I saw the bend test and did the same :o face. I thought for sure with being plastic and so damn light that they wouldn't be malleable or just break easily - my mind was changed entirely on that!

This is the first pair of Turtle Beaches since Black Ops 1 (PX21 Wired) they sounded and worked amazing but broke *way* too easily - went through about 3 pairs. I'm loving this headset so far and don't think they'll be breaking any time soon!

You can’t control chat volume on this headset unfortunately. One is for master volume, and the other is for your mic monitoring/sidetone volume(how loud you hear yourself)
Had them for a few days and returned them. Here's some notes (on PS4): + Good sound - Uncomfortable to wear - Audio defaults to the headset, even when its not on. This means that if you want to hear audio through the TV for single player sessions, you have to either unplug the dongle or change the headphone audio to chat only (in the PS4 menu). - More often than not, required me to turn the headset on and off multiple times for the audio to actually play through the headset. - No chat/game audio adjustment. Meaning that, unlike the Sony Gold headset, you can't turn up the chat audio to better hear a soft speaking party member. (This was the deal breaker for me).
What are you talking about? You can adjust the party chat/game audio in the PlayStation party quick menu. It doesn’t matter what head set you have. So do your due diligence before spouting bullshit

I just recently got ps4 pro and it’s the same menu that I used back then. He probably just didn’t know about that feature in all honesty. But I’m positive that the party audio feature has been around for a couple years. Maybe it wasn’t at release but it’s been out for awhile

I have the original version of the Stealth 600 and I think they're a pretty good wireless headset for a console. The only downside is the usb charger is super short and it's really annoying.
Whenever I record some footage if there is music then I can’t here it in recording only actual in game sounds but not music I game either from a radio or just music
I had to return these after just 2 months. The microphone completely fizzled out and just stopped working all together from normal, daily use. The folding and swivel mechanics of the Mic’s mute on/off function eventually pinches the internal wire until it’s totally destroyed, even the foam padding at the top of the head strap began to lose it’s adhesive glue, gradually peeling away from the frame after just a few weeks of normal 12 hour, daily use. Thank god I had the 2 year protection plan. I took these shits straight back to Walmart immediately and traded them in for Plantronics’ RIG 700 HX headset instead and for just $10 dollars more, its a much higher quality and better built product for a headset that was released 2 years prior to TurtleCrap’s Gen 2 models. At least with the RIG 700HX, I get a 2 year code for Dolby Atmosphere, a super light and professionally designed set of cans, with the ability to customize/adjust multiple sound profiles for various media formats to my specific preferences. Not to mention the detachable mic boom, which is a much more intelligent, flexible and sturdy design that will last for years, plus a longer battery life that charges super fast. Most buyers will find out soon enough how overpriced and unreliable TurtleShit is when it just stops working all together. It’s no wonder they have to keep releasing firmware updates every other week just to give the false impression that they really give a shit about their fucked up products. Dope review though, please just do a follow up and tell us the truth about how they really hold up after a few more months and how unimpressive the volume levels are.

Just got mine last night,my only problem is that if you use the ps4 to watch tv and you want other people to hear you have to pull out the usb sensor or go through settings to turn it off every time you want to switch from game to movies

Had these for nearly 2 years now had to send them back because of a firmware update that I can't do however they are very durable and I would definitely recommend these and have never lost their quality of sound until the update

I bought these two days ago and not too blown away with the audio and really turned off by them by the fact. I keep having to troubleshoot the audio output, I keep having to turn them on and off to have them sync and have them actually turn on or off, I rarely get the audio cues, turtle beach keeps toting. I'm having some issues with these on every other game than COD MW. The sound is just so low... I've adjusted and maxed out all possible settings, and both RDR2 and GTAV are so quiet. Does anyone have any suggestions? Music sounded great, and COD was pretty good too.

@@knox3309 No, this is a completely wireless set up. It has a USB piece that plugs in to any of the ports, and connects to your headset. I played around with every audio setting possible, in game, on the PS4 itself and on my headset.. They are still incredibly quiet playing anything other than CoD MW. RDR 2, GTA V and a few others were almost unplayable for me because of this. They would be perfect, If only I could fix this big issue. Heads up, they also require a USB C to charge them! Hope this helps.
@@knox3309 Nope! Not in my experience, at least. You simply use the wireless connection between the little USB accessory, and your headset. That's it! You can use PS4 party chats, in-game chats like normal. No cords or cables required whatsoever

Couldnt do that twist test with the other gen. Ive snapped two headsets around the twist part just by barely pulling them apart to put on my head. Old ones were twice as cheap.

It is easy, to turn it down it is right next to the nozzle where you turn your headset volume up, the nozzle your lookin for should have a little picture of headphones right next to it, thats the one to turn it down
I’ve had the original stealth 600s for 3 or more years . They are amazing and I’m still using them even after they are held together by tape since I’ve dropped them a lot . (Started to break after 2 years from me dropping them) so far my favorite headset and I’ve even tried multiple other headsets such as the razor kraken headset for 80$ and I am returning it as it sounds muffled . Would you say the gen 2 are a worthy improvement from the gen 1s?
That little piece of plastic that you were stressing about that has the measurements for adjusting is exactly what broke on mine after only about 6 months of having it.
The gen 3s drop for multi platform use next month so i look to get a set for my Series X but will make sure to get through Best Buy with extended warranty because im sure the hinges will start to crack and break

Only had mine for 2 months before the mic died and the foam padding right above the head started peeling away from the frame completely and I only used them for about 12 hours a day. Totally unacceptable. I can’t even hear the “bloop, bloop” sound that indicates the microphone is on or off anymore. All I could hear was the in game sounds and other people talking during PUBG and Call Of Duty, but they couldn’t hear me since the microphone was totally dead and destroyed. It’s definitely an overpriced piece of plastic. I tried resetting them to the factory default settings and updating the firmware but they only sent back an automated response and told me to e-mail them and wait for further customer support since they’re closed on weekends. Mind you, it’s Thanksgiving weekend and I can no longer communicate at all with my teammates. So, I’m not waiting until Monday or even later just to be e-mailed back to notify that I have a defective headset and they have to be sent back in for a replacement. Fuck TurtleShit, I have better things to do with my life and time. I returned the pieces of shit and got the RIG 700HX’s instead. Best headset I’ve ever purchased in my life.
I still have a Turtle Beach Ear Force Stealth 500P. It was from the moment ps4 was a thing. Right nkw it is sold out everywhere. So If i were to upgrade to the 600p stealth gen 2? Would it be a huge improvement. I mainly would use it for PS5 and PC VR/laptop for work. Hi, you did't talk about virtual surround sound ? Please can you tell if it is present or not? The official TB guide stats to turn on it by press and hold the EQ mode button. I have also bought the 600 gen2 for PS4 but i can't turn on the virtual surround sound.
@@TheTechne Cannot wait to hear your opinion. I grabbed a pair of the Gen2 Xbox version yesterday as my local Walmart had them out already and selling for only $87. Comparing them to my Arctis 1 Wireless Xbox version, I think the 600s are more comfortable. Less clamping force by far. I still think the Arctis 1 may be more durable due to the metal headband but the new 600s are built better than the original ones. I think the Stealth 600s just sound more fun as the Steelseries are more neutral sounding. Microphone quality goes to Steelseries. I really like the new Stealth 600s and will use them more since I only play on Xbox and the upcoming Series S. Still for $99, the Arctis 1 for Xbox are far more versatile since they work on just about every device. Having a 3.5mm jack also helps so you can use them wired if needed.
I just bought got mine today. I plugged them into the pc to tune the Mic Monitoring setting and it was factory set at almost all of the way up. Any suggestions for tuning them on the turtle beach hub?

Bought these a week ago but sometimes theres popping,crackling and the audio cuts out randomly. I don't know if it is interference or what but I've seen other people having the same issue so I'm returning them today. Shame because I think they sound pretty good.

How does the sound quality compare against the recon 500? I went from Astro A10 to the recon 500 and I’m not a huge fan. Out of the box I noticed the jack makes a scratching sound when slightly touching it on my ps5 controller.
I got it for christmas last year and they are GOATED, I use them every time and my brother, who is older than me, always steals it, which is pretty funny tbh 9.8/10 My brother got a headset that is similar so now he doesn't steal mine

I used the hybrid ultra pads on Amazon , to fit the 600’s and 700’s and they went on easy enough and made them a lot more comfortable 👌🏽

Durability and sound is all that matter to me. And seeing you can replace the ear caps. With the audio being at 50mm drivers im all in!

I keep having to troubleshoot the audio output, I keep having to turn them on and off to have them sync and have them actually turn on or off, I rarely get the audio cues, turtle beach keeps toting. Any help?

@@knox3309 I just plug in the usb receiver, turn on the headset and it pairs and it should be good to go
I'm having some issues with these on every other game than COD MW. The sound is just so low... I've adjusted and maxed out all possible settings, and both RDR2 and GTAV are so quiet. Does anyone have any suggestions? Music sounded great, and COD was pretty good too.

@@knox3309 No, this is a completely wireless set up. It has a USB piece that plugs in to any of the ports, and connects to your headset. I played around with every audio setting possible, in game, on the PS4 itself and on my headset.. They are still incredibly quiet playing anything other than CoD MW. RDR 2, GTA V and a few others were almost unplayable for me because of this. They would be perfect, If only I could fix this big issue. Heads up, they also require a USB C to charge them! Hope this helps.

@@knox3309 Nope! Not in my experience, at least. You simply use the wireless connection between the little USB accessory, and your headset. That's it! You can use PS4 party chats, in-game chats like normal. No cords or cables required whatsoever

Now, the 2 volume wheels. The bottom one being the “chat” volume. Is it like the stealth 520s where you can control how loud other people’s voices r or is it to turn ur own volume down of how much u can hear yourself?

Just got these, sound is great. Not as comfy as my reacon 200s, excellent headset. Wish they made the 200s with the same sound as 600s. That for me is a top notch headset.
Anyone know how to fix the mic sensitivity? Friends keep telling me it picks up a lot of the background noise. Got one for Xbox 1 s today. That’s the only problem I have with it

Couldnt do that twist test with the other gen. Ive snapped two headsets around the twist part just by barely pulling them apart to put on my head. Old ones were twice as cheap.

It is easy, to turn it down it is right next to the nozzle where you turn your headset volume up, the nozzle your lookin for should have a little picture of headphones right next to it, thats the one to turn it down

I’ve had the original stealth 600s for 3 or more years . They are amazing and I’m still using them even after they are held together by tape since I’ve dropped them a lot . (Started to break after 2 years from me dropping them) so far my favorite headset and I’ve even tried multiple other headsets such as the razor kraken headset for 80$ and I am returning it as it sounds muffled .

your mic volume on the quick menu is too high.
You have to turn the volume down at the headset but nit that one which decides the volume of the game that one under it

That little piece of plastic that you were stressing about that has the measurements for adjusting is exactly what broke on mine after only about 6 months of having it.
This is the only thing that stops me from buying these headsets but the sound quality on turtle beaches are just my favourite
The gen 3s drop for multi platform use next month so i look to get a set for my Series X but will make sure to get through Best Buy with extended warranty because im sure the hinges will start to crack and break

I think the ear cups are like that because to fit the sound how it would sound in real life. So you can really hear exactly where everything is .

I had mine for a month before the plastic broke and no I’m not aggressive with my headsets I always take them off and set them next to my console
Only had mine for 2 months before the mic died and the foam padding right above the head started peeling away from the frame completely and I only used them for about 12 hours a day. Totally unacceptable. I can’t even hear the “bloop, bloop” sound that indicates the microphone is on or off anymore. All I could hear was the in game sounds and other people talking during PUBG and Call Of Duty, but they couldn’t hear me since the microphone was totally dead and destroyed. It’s definitely an overpriced piece of plastic. I tried resetting them to the factory default settings and updating the firmware but they only sent back an automated response and told me to e-mail them and wait for further customer support since they’re closed on weekends. Mind you, it’s Thanksgiving weekend and I can no longer communicate at all with my teammates. So, I’m not waiting until Monday or even later just to be e-mailed back to notify that I have a defective headset and they have to be sent back in for a replacement. Fuck TurtleShit, I have better things to do with my life and time. I returned the pieces of shit and got the RIG 700HX’s instead. Best headset I’ve ever purchased in my life.
I still have a Turtle Beach Ear Force Stealth 500P. It was from the moment ps4 was a thing. Right nkw it is sold out everywhere. So If i were to upgrade to the 600p stealth gen 2? Would it be a huge improvement. I mainly would use it for PS5 and PC VR/laptop for work. But im bad at looking or knowing if a headset is better then what i have now or Is good for gaming etc.

Hi, you did't talk about virtual surround sound ? Please can you tell if it is present or not? The official TB guide stats to turn on it by press and hold the EQ mode button. I have also bought the 600 gen2 for PS4 but i can't turn on the virtual surround sound.

@@TheTechne Cannot wait to hear your opinion. I grabbed a pair of the Gen2 Xbox version yesterday as my local Walmart had them out already and selling for only $87. Comparing them to my Arctis 1 Wireless Xbox version, I think the 600s are more comfortable. Less clamping force by far. I still think the Arctis 1 may be more durable due to the metal headband but the new 600s are built better than the original ones. I think the Stealth 600s just sound more fun as the Steelseries are more neutral sounding. Microphone quality goes to Steelseries. I really like the new Stealth 600s and will use them more since I only play on Xbox and the upcoming Series S. Still for $99, the Arctis 1 for Xbox are far more versatile since they work on just about every device. Having a 3.5mm jack also helps so you can use them wired if needed.
I just bought got mine today. I plugged them into the pc to tune the Mic Monitoring setting and it was factory set at almost all of the way up. Any suggestions for tuning them on the turtle beach hub?
This is three years old but My ears a lil smaller so this headset was actually perfect and I like the volume adjustments aswell I wasn’t sure about the “superhuman hearing” I personally couldn’t tell the difference
He said like twice the wireless works on all these consoles but never mentions it working with Xbox.....they make this exact turtle beach model for Xbox one/Series X and S

Are these about the same size as recon 500s? My recon 500s fit over my ears with glasses on nicely. My old recon 70s fit but when I wore glasses, it sucked.
I got one of these, takes me forever to turn on and get it to connect with my ps4, and my power button gets stuck everytime I press it so I just don't use it 😐
I didn’t even chance a setting it just connected as soon as I plugged the dongle in 🤷♂️ and the power button has never been a problem for me
Bought these a week ago but sometimes theres popping,crackling and the audio cuts out randomly. I don't know if it is interference or what but I've seen other people having the same issue so I'm returning them today. Shame because I think they sound pretty good.

How does the sound quality compare against the recon 500? I went from Astro A10 to the recon 500 and I’m not a huge fan. Out of the box I noticed the jack makes a scratching sound when slightly touching it on my ps5 controller.
I got it for christmas last year and they are GOATED, I use them every time and my brother, who is older than me, always steals it, which is pretty funny tbh 9.8/10
My brother got a headset that is similar so now he doesn't steal mine
