Trying to get to CENTRAL AFRICAN REPUBLIC [S7-E74]
ฝัง
- เผยแพร่เมื่อ 16 ม.ค. 2024
- In this episode, I start the long journey from Yaounde, the capital of Cameroon, to the border with Central African Republic. I choose the northern route, which proves to be a good choice, and the first 430 kilometers is new asphalt and I'm making quick progress. However, as soon as the dirt begins, the challenges start, and when it starts to rain, the jungle track become so slippery - it changes this day into a day, that I did not see coming..

Itchyboots' adventures are better than anything on tv or cinema. Her videos are family-friendly entertainment. Thank you Noraly, and may God bless you and keep you.
Totally agree, no gimmicks or pretend drama
it's just a natural adventure in real time, it's so authentic
100% agree. Noraly's videos are my highlight of anything on a screen, hands down. Peace!
Inspirational videos from one very brave young lady.
❤ totally agree
Nearly 43,000 views in only one hour after posting this segment. Glad to see how much people encourage and support her getting through her adventures for us to witness this amazing experience. Much love and respect. 🙏🏻🙏🏻

As a retired world traveler, what people need to understand is that people all over the world are just like you and I. They all just want to raise a family in peace and enjoy the company of friends. It is the people in power that run governments that brain wash it's citizens to do unspeakable things to others under the guise of morality for the sake of stacking power. Be kind to one another.
Nailed it.
Greed is the greatest threat to mankind we face today.
We are all earthborn.
Expect for that one ofe that took Norallys camera, that guy sucks. 😆
Don't forget religion. Just as bad for humans. Faith is good, religion is politics.
You may want to add not only 'people in power that run governments', but also 'torch bearers from religions wanting to convert others by force or by deceit'.
@@SaneLogical I think there is an easy answer for all of these problems. It lays in any position of power over people. This is important to know because it is a key factor in job desire for 2 psych profiles. Psychopaths and Sociopaths. Religious leaders, Policeman, any public office, lawyer, are a few of the jobs in the top 10 choices for those psych profiles. I think this is why we have problems with Police doing things that any normal person with empathy for their fellow human would be appalled at. It is why we keep seeing "bad cops" do bad things. Until we get the tech to weed these 2 psycho profiles from any position that is one of public trust, we will continue to see things that enrage us. They are charismatic and manipulative. And we are the manipulated.
@@johnDukemasterReligion is all about politics and power. Especially when the power structures we have right now weren't around.
Itchyboots' adventures indeed offer a unique and enjoyable form of family-friendly entertainment. It's great to hear that you appreciate Noraly's content. Wishing her continued success and blessings in her travels!
I'm beginning to think Alaska needs her own channel. It would be about my escapades with this Dutch girl who keeps taking me to all these crazy, muddy places, losing parts along the way, stressing my shocks, brakes and clutch to the limit and, somehow, every day, I manage to pull through. In the meantime, Alaska harbors dreams about living in a heated garage, being squeaky clean and driving on paved roads on a glorious sunny day in springtime.
Definitely would make for a good book for kids! It would be unbelievable and in the fictional section. Hahaha some of the stuff she endured, if you didn’t see the videos, would make you scratch your head.
lol…. You’ve got a great idea! That would be fun to watch!
Sounds wonderful for Alaska in retirement. Of course Noraly would say that’s boring!! Haha!😜
Bro that's brilliant!😮
Those kids are living on bribe money. What a life. I wonder if they go to school. No wonder the African continent is so poor
🇮🇹 Here WE are, folks! Gooood Afternoon, Noraly, Internet, sisters and brothers, let’s gooooo, as usual! 🇮🇹
Noraly, You have renewed my faith in the human race. Those people you meet on your trip have been amazing!. So warm and friendly. Politicians of all countries should take more note of the way their people behave to strangers!!.
Africa is so naturally beautiful. The natural beauty reminds me of Scotland in so many ways.

It’s for carrying logs. Currently the truck is empty, hence it has reduced its trailer length to manage its drive ability. The wheels are sent back to its place at the time of loading and carrying.
Thanks for the explanation!
In Canada, empty logging trucks do the same thing.
@@jimmerrithew453 yes I have seen this in a lot of Western videos. Never seen this in India though.
The trucks are a nightmare for the environment. They are mostly used to transport wood, trees which are being cut without any other thoughts just to make more money for the embezzlers. 😊
This is the west african type of truck trailer combination for long logs, normally the have a cage around the cab too,
Mainly used as this in cameroon and gabon.
If these co7ntries have nothing else then wood to sell they sell wood.
They explore natural rainforests, bu5 the second or third time already, they do not do clear cuts in contrary to northern europe or canada
All the cattle is en route to the Centrafrique to be sold there. The herders are Peuhls/Fulani. If you want to say hallo to them you can call Sanu!/ Sanu mon! when driving passed them. Safe travel onwards! I barely can wait for the next episode: your travel is a true cliff-hanger! And thank you for paying the tolls without grumbling: lots of work of the community went to make those bypasses. The main road is destroyed by trucks gettings stuck: they excavate them and do not refil the holes, sometimes very, very deep....Sometimes they stay there for years, alas...
Thank you for this information!
Notably most of the cattle appear to be Bulls. They are so calm.
@@pamelaroberts-aue7984 Very well observed! Yes, the Peuhls don't sell their cows, only the surplus bulls. Because it is rainy season, they are wellfed and calm. also being used to walk many kilometers per day.
There are so many cows there. If all of them are sold, that must be a lot of money. But how far are they going to walk?
I noticed all the cattle are bulls so probably going for the meat market
I never thought that I can wait for something even more, than my favorite TV series! Noraly, You are awesome! 😊
@₦# The cattle headers walk for months not just weeks. They normal move from Niger through Nigeria to Cameroon at the beginning of the dry season. With the coming of the rains, they move back to Niger and other places that normally experience a harsher dry season. They are nomads, mostly Fulani by tribe.
How the villagers can ride those bikes loaded up with people and products is beyond amazing
They had no choice. Poor people. they doing delivery for local grocery shop. And get just around 5 dollar per day.
Necessity leads to improvisation! Life needs to go on!
And the bikes are those cheap chinese bikes
@@nikesamba3558 - those cheap Chinese bikes make parts for Honda and Yamaha too. Must not be too bad
and they have enough to live from and are mostly happier then western people @@TheNeroScout
Through all my personal problems I find inspiration from your channel. Your spirit lifts me every time.

Good luck
Your videos ar deserving of awards. You are living your dreams. We can only dream about them. Thank you for sharing this wonderful ride.🏍🏍🏍 Jim and Harriet
I am always impressed when Noraly comes put with "excuse me" and "thankyou" to animals on the road. Shows a deep respect for all living creatures! You are epic dear lady! From your self appointed Canadian Oma. ❤

It's so extraordinary to watch your videos because they delivered an awesome content and shows your hard work, dedication and passion for it. Thanks you!
Hi Noraly. I know Africa for many years, 40 years maybe, but you know it deeper than me. Close to people, close to the reality of Africa. You impress me, alone on your motorbike, meeting sometimes difficult authorities but always nice people ! Congrats for your videos in which only smells are missing. Watching I feel odors, humidity, wetness and everything... I smell the rainforest ! Please take care and good road... Till soon !
Another challenging travel day! We love to follow your adventures, Noraly!
After watching your African adventure, only extremely brave will venture.
It is the route she has taken...😂😂😂 there are many overlanding from Europe to South Africa
@@eagle_eye7734it's never easy to overland from Europe to South Africa. I don't know what you're thinking.
Smart and brave ✌️
One thing I never expected to hear from Noraly, that she enjoyed riding on paved roads!🤣
If her goat trails are so bad, that she looks forward to riding on asphalt, you are well advised to NOT go there!😂
You certainly deserve the title of worlds off road biking queen, Noraly! I admire your perseverance!🫶👍👏
Noraly your not only inspiring but very brave too.
You and alaska deserve to be in the "Guinness World Book Record" for traveling the world or even the entire Africa back to back.
You can't know how the whole world is inspired by your sole travel you're such a great and determined woman. Thank you for putting Africa on the map and natural beauty show case. Welcome home and stay safe and be blessed
Africa is super rich with everything. The only thing Africa lacks is good leadership to revile all of this beauty.
Yes I agree, most of the African continent is blessed with riches. However, western nations exploit it at the detriment of Africa's people. If it was not for this plus the endemic corruption, wars and lack of infrastructure, Africa would be a paradise on earth.
And get rid of corruption and tribal fights

I am totally addicted to your videos Noraly. I check every day if you have a new post. I have recommended your channel to so many people. You're an absolutely inspiring person. I have been pleasantly surprised by how lovely the African people have been toward you. I guess that's one lovely thing about your videos in that they open people's eyes and challenge our assumptions. Really warms the heart.
I love how you always face a new challenge with a small chuckle. I love it.
Keep up the amazing work. 😊 We love you itchyboots. You will have a mainstream movie soon. 🎉
Take care on your journeys. ❤
After watching a video with your participation at the ABR Festival in the UK and seeing how much time, sweat, and effort go into making and editing all these videos... I GOT NOTHING BUT RESPECT AND APPRECIATION FOR ALL YOU DO, YOUR MAGNIFICENT WORK SHOWS YOUR AMAZING SKILLS AND TALENT! ❤
I think it’s so cool that Noraly takes the time to read the comments. I find it entertaining to read what people say. After every video I see all her “like hearts” and she even responds to some comments and sets others straight regarding misinformation! I think it’s amazing given everything else she has going on! You are one to admire Itchy Boots!!❤👍👍
Thank you Noraly for sharing your journey with us. Your videos are so spectacular. I would be scared out of my wits to do what you do. I am seeing places I would never see without you and your videos. May God be with you and always protect you. 🙏🙏🙏
QUESTION? How do you dry your riding gear out so fast. I ride with our local Patriot Guard Riders. We escort the family and remains of fallen veterans to their final resting place. We ride rain or shine and my riding gear does not dry out very fast. 😂😂😂
200% agreed with your comment and seems to me that she's a great human being ❤🙏
Just saw your comment Lucinda and couldn't agree more. We know her days in Africa are long and exhausting and it is so wonderful that Noraly dedicates time to read comments. I scan for her replies especially, as they are sometimes funny, blunt, and educational! She cannot be compared to anyone, and anyone cannot be compared to her! Peace
Yes I like reading the comments too especially the ones from the respective country she is in.
Rain rain go away, come again on a non-riding day ☀️ Battling another long day with tough roads, tough weather, and no food. Not many can do what you do. May your strength be renewed with each new day 🙏🏼
You trimmed the broken windshield in innovating way & it luks nice & ❤ it.
You are really amazing …While passing through the cattle you sounded differently like a cowboy …instead of honking the bikes horn & It’s a challenge to all Noraly’s subscribers, how to write that sound in words….. let’s see..
A great effort for the ride today, especially on an empty stomach. Thanks Noraly.
The road conditions always vary so much, but you take it all in stride! Another day of meeting nice people along the way and finding shelter. The countryside is so beautiful and scenic. Thanks for another day of your adventures. Ride safe Noraly!
Welcome to east Africa

I haven't been to Africa... But these Videos show so much of the scenic views and the culture thanks so much!!!!
I am telling you people, Alaska is as brave as Noraly, what a pair!
This lady is brave crossing from one country to another passing through bushes and isolated jungles plying the terrible roads of Africa. Hats off to you lady.

Dear Nataly, Emile from Cape Town - The trucks with the trailers on top are used to fetch tree trunks in the forest which are loaded onto the truck and onto the trailer and transported to Douala for shipment to Europe. De-forestation!
The cattle on the road are accompanied by herders and their donkeys with their possessions. They don't own the cattle; the owners travel by car and meet them from time to time near highways.
I fell in love with those herds of cattle, they made that part of journey awesome😊
Haha the little "excuse me" and "thank you" to the cows was cute and funny 😊❤
I make a game of guessing what time it will be when Noraly says "Good morning internet!" No matter what time it is though it always makes me smile. Thanks Noraly!
Oh no..the suspense!! So the rain, the mud and the challenges continue! But did you see her blasting down the tarmac?? That is just too easy! I think the greater the challenge the tougher and more determined Noraly gets!! This is what keeps her interested and not bored! And it keeps us spellbound!! So close to the border!! Hope all is OK!! Let’s go Itchy Boots!! Following all the way!! Hugs and cheers from chilly Texas USA❤❤
Just when we thought it was "safe it go back in the water". LOL Riding in between all those cows for so far, Yoi! But maybe not as bad a drunk truck drivers which she had commented on in a reply.
You really know how to keep us hanging out there, one second your bike is lying down, and the next second you're gone. WOW
As soon as the quickened, drumming type of music starts, I know things are about to get intense on the roads! Go safely, Noraly!
Noraly never ceases to amaze me with her positive attitude and appreciation of nature! “Isn’t this spectacular country”.......uhm, looks like just more mud and jungle to me?🙃. You go girl!!! 👍 Stay safe and healthy!🏍🇺🇸
You have the ability to see the POSITIVE in every situation, Noraly, dealing with all that mud and all those horns. The overriding detail for me is that you keep such a positive attitude. Always a FAN…❤❤❤Rick
Hi Noraly, wow that was a lot of mud and water today, but the ride was good and thanks for showing us Cameroon. Spectacular, lush, green scenery and the mud! This episode was a long haul but worth the trouble. Your video footage is a wealth of information of remote places that many of us will never get to see so thank you for taking us along on this journey of discovery.
Thank you Noraly. Another amazing ride. I've ridden through many things but never a herd of cattle. Godspeed on your journey.
The truck at 6:50 would be used in the US for hauling logs. When empty, for convenience, they load the last part of the truck up on the back of the front part. When they get at their place to load, a crane takes off the second half and puts it attached to the front half (that long solid pole that stuck off the second half connects the two) and then you can transport really longer logs or whatever cargo they want.
Here in Australia the logging trucks fold themselves hydraulically
Morning all from Eastern, KY, we will be praying for her on her journey!
Hello Noraly, I got to know your channel a short time ago, but I'm addicted to your videos, I'm enjoying traveling with you.
I travelled Thailand on a motor cycle nothing like ichy boots though nothing but admiration tackling such a vast journey clearly difficult riding and nothing but admiration for this Pioneer.
What an inspiration you are Noraly I wonder how many people are now touring because of your adventures on TH-cam you must be proud you make it look so easy nowadays 😊

I said this before and repeat: Your videos /journey is a Netflix league-type documentary. One day probably you'll be streaming there. Otherwise, they are losing oportunity to get engaged viewers. Producers: Look at what she'd already acomplished and what a beatiful/inspiring journey she's performing ! Pure gold. Good job, Noraly. Still praying for your health and security ...and more videos!!
Your music choices add so much to already spectacular videos. Excellent!
A shame Noraly doesn't include source credits for the atmospheric library tracks she uses. Kudos to the artist's part in the video would be nice, (and informative for her subscribers :-)
I was remiss with my ungraciously back-handed comment :-( I should have added; of course Noraly's innovative content is the best thing on youtube :-)
Noraly, i have been to all these places right up to the Central African Republic from Cameroon. Those trucks are for carrying timber en route to Europe, North America and other Asian countries via the Douala port in Cameroon. Normally, you will find hundreds of those trucks on these roads on a normal day when the weather is dry.. It is amazing how much resources leave those supposedly poor countries to developed economies. This is one area very rich in natural resources that you will meet some of the poorest people in the world. I hope you passed through Batouri, Cameroon with Chinese and European gold mines everywhere while communities are living in poverty.
Beautiful ride through the countryside, wet and muddy but love the beauty of Cameroon. Awesome video.
Your smile help a lot to forget all the conditions. You are so courageous
If Discovery Channel, National Geographic or any other of the satellite channels would show this kind of adventures, I would happily pay to watch them. But instead this crazy, courageous dutch woman singlehandedly provide it for me here. Fantastic! ❤❤

Amazing how Noraly keeps me in total attention, I dont miss a pothole….or a puddle of water she rides thru….most of the time in suspense, but more than confident she can handle just about everything…..there you go girl!
West always showed us Africa as desert but thanks to you we are watching true green Africa have a safe journey.
Hello Noraly, I greatly admire your adventuresome spirit and tenacity!! My wife and I rode our KLR 650’s through 11 African Countries during 2016 and 2017. The last country we rode into was the CAR. It was in the middle of a civil war then and it was WILDLY dangerous. UN convoys were guarding all of the semi-trucks bringing supplies from Douala to Bangui. The city was under martial law. Even now I daily keep a very close watch on the happenings there and have contacts in Bangui. It is still very dangerous with rebels “having their way”. I urge you to consider a different country! Be Safe!
While waiting in the hospital ER I saw your comment. Perfect timing and message.
Noraly is calming , entertaining and provides solace. By the way, I'm fine and quickly recovering. Thanks for prayers.
You're superb, Noraly! Have a nice trip!🖐🙏
