As a casual sim racer and American Truck Simulator player my Moza R5 bundle with the clutch pedal and brake mod are night and day over my G29. The quality of Moza is outstanding for the price.

Tbh ive found with my own testing that people shoupd stretch there budget. Now what I mean by that is dont jump the gun. Save a little more buy something a little better and it helps the mental aspect also. You won't feel like you are missing out as much and you can maybe get the pedals that truely will help. I remember jumping the gun when I started and it actually cost me much more due to upgrading quicker then I would have if I just saved a little more. Just my opinion for more newer buyers. Also now that we know fanatec is staying around and will be worked on even more I think they are a great option for new buyers. May be the perfect option. Due to 3rd party adaptera and or connectors to use other wheels now. Big ecosystem if you want to stay inside of it. Great ffb now and some of the best budget pedals on the market.
@@passone even if it's never usually buy once haha. That's exactly what I thought when buying my first sim racing setup, I only had the budget for a g923, but I saved up money for 6 months more and now I bought a Fanatec csl dd bundle that's arriving on tuesday

I use the Fanatec csl pedals with it. Currently getting top 50’s in WRC 24, C5 works awesome on Rally games.
I can recommend Simgrade VX-PRO pedals.. its really cheap , reliable, adjustable and built quality is just perfect it can be easily modified with haptic motors by Simagick
I got a Moza R9 with SRP Pedals a while ago. Suuuper happy. R5 would have probably been enough power but I really wanted some quality pedals. And a that point it's only like 100-150$ more to get the R9.
@@luttufu9292 for me absolutely. I mean it's expensive, but if you have the money it's absolutely worth it :D for me there is not one single flaw in my setup (r9+srp+sgp seq shifter+cheap handbrake). The software let's you fine tune everything so it feels just right. I've looked a lot for alternatives and for bundles that give me a great experience for around 500-600$. But when I checked, at that price point you had to make compromises with the pedals or wheel quality.
I can only recommend to look out for used parts, depending on your location this will limit your results, here for example there is almost only Fanatec gear available, but you can save so much compared to retail or even most black friday deals. You'll often have to wait some time to find a good deal or even a bundle or product you want specifically but for my whole Fanatec gear I've saved around 30-40% so far (could be more if I'd were more patient).
There are plenty of guides where people recommend not waste time and money on half-sulutions, and really aim at level you need in the end. And nobody makes a video where they compare good sets. Almost no videos of comprehensive technical (slew rate) vs games compatibility analyses. My approach is DIY-FFB pedals, wheelbase based on rims (coz two rims may cost you a wheelbase). But for a final confirmation on feel and look - I am buying tickets to SimExpo 2024. Coz it's huge investment and just very interesting topic :)
@ they’re incredible, but admittedly they’re my first load cell pedals so don’t have much to compare them too. The adjustable brake pedal springs are a really nice touch for immersion and choice. And the travel on the throttle is perfect. Only complaint is I wish the heel plate was a bit larger as you can sometimes slip off under hard braking
Great overall coverage of the market. I just disagree on some components "not breaking the bank", because getting a full sim rig with clutch, shifter, handbrake with decent quality, it's difficult to get under 2 500 k€ (not even counting the PC itself and other peripherals). I used to tell people it's possible to build an "ok" entry level rig to start simracing with 2k€ PC included. Of course we got a lot of inflation, but still I find mid range really expensive those days.

I started with a G29, and after 3 years (of fun) bought a Fanatec DD Pro (CSL) with 8nm and loadcell brake.
