This is the first time in 20 years of attempting "painterly" brushes that they have actually made sense to me. And that was only because I was high off my gourd on pain killers due to ankle surgery when attempting Corel Painter in 2005. But these brushes here really do feel like painting with actual brushes. Thank you for making this video explaining them!
They're super fun to use! I have a few other "digital traditional" sets I want to mix and match with the Memileo and the RGBA standard brushes to see what madness can be made with them, can't wait to dig in some more soon
Good brushes, I discovered them months ago, but I only tried them out on Android because I was on holiday and didn't have access to my PC. They didn't work and didn't even appear in the brush list. Well, my priority is to learn to draw and limit myself to a few brushes, so it didn't bother me. Tried them out on my PC a few days ago and so far they are some of the best oil brushes I could find for Krita. I somehow assumed that the ones that don't work on my tablet also don't work on the PC and that their cooperation with Krita is faulty. It seems to be something to do with the operating system, sometimes different brushes work on Android than on the PC. Even the developer's default 3.3 pack doesn't work on my PC.
Side question about the Kamvas 22, since I'm looking at getting it (it seems decent yet not so pricey): the huion website says both the Kamvas 22 and the Kamvas 22 Plus has tilt support. Is this not true?
Good question! So nowadays you should be good to go (as they both have tilt support), but I have the model that was made in 2019 (or maybe 2018?) that uses an old stylus type. It's actually so old that I can only buy Huion's older "generic" stylus as a replacement, as none of the main ones they sell on their shop work with my older Kamvas. You should be safe to get any of the Kamvas series now as they all have tilt (and better monitors, from what I hear!). Hope this helps!
@ArtOfWesGardner thank you for the reply! I was wondering wether maybe you just needed to update the driver, but it didn't cross my mind that this could be an older model.
are the brushes compatible with clip studio paint? I have looked at the file types in the free download links and they don't look like files compatible with CSP... I was wondering if the paid brushes would be the same file type?
Unfortunately no. It's Krita exclusive at the moment. That's why i keep many drawing software on my PC, some have features that i just can't live without.
The brush stroke changes after I lift the brush from the tablet. In your video it doesn't do that. Is there a setting I am missing? I don't like that it changes. Thanks

I tried it and I was amazed, very successful. Krita Artist community is the best and most generous artist community in the world.
So I went and spent a few bucks on these, and I'm kind of blown away by how good they work. Highly recommend these brushes!
Thank you! As an user with no tilt and a huion tablet that deliberately made the rgba brushes more chaotic, this is a beautiful gold mine

Thanks for highlighting these! I've been after this kind of effect done well for quite a while, and this pack is top notch!
Amazing, stunning, beautiful brushes indeed
Thanks for the links Wes
Never knew Krita could do this...
I was flicking through the Taschen book of Alfred Stieglitz's photos I have and how they look like a cross between Caravaggio and Singer Sargent.

NICE !!!
What is this "click" that happened few times (like in 32:18) ,those few brush strokes you made in like 2 seconds prior like all the sudden smooth out?

Thank you, how can I make such brushes in blender?

@mungunzah thank you for your reply and for the information ^_^
@@DelphineFrench No problemo. :)

I love those brushes but the chaos of them scares me sometimes 😂
Hahah, embrace the chaooosssss!!
to be honest, you can't get those thick impasto knife effects in Rebelle. The Rebelle impasto doesn't get that thick.
wondering if folk are watching "Shogun"?
watching this when my school doesn't allow to use anything but photoshop
