I'm glad I found you. You do exactly what I have done for over 50 years but can no longer go on hikes on unstable ground because of my knees. I turn 80 in a couple of weeks so two years ago I purchased a 4Runner which allows me to still go to lots of "lonely" places on what I call "Wild-ner-ness Carventures". You are my knee replacement that allows me to go to these wonderful places and you add that extra touch of information which I really enjoy. Glad I can travel with you.

Reminds me of my grandma! Lived in an off grid cabin for years! I learned to ask "how far" when she suggested a "walk"! She drove all over! At least 2 trips to Alaska, living out of her mini van. I miss her.😢

Well, of course you can't please everyone. I think you do a good job of balancing the content in your videos: information, history, beautiful views, the occasional rock climbing thrill... Keep doing what you're doing. We'll keep looking forward to another Saturday cup of tea with Tristan!

Love how you show yourself inside the arches to give perspective as to how large they are. Without that reference they could be any size and we wouldn't know. Thanks.

That's definitely intentional! I get frustrated when I see hiking videos and it's all first-person stuff with no sense of scale.

That viewpoint of the Green was, as you said, stunning.
I was trained as a geophysicist, so my paleontology isn’t as complete as a proper geologists’, but I would guess the crocodile rock is a collection of fossilized proto-clams or large worm casings.
The circles in the next area I also think were organically generated.

Tristan, your videos are perfect. I enjoy everything about them. People need to stop telling you to add more info about history or this, that and the other thing. You are unique, and that's why I adore you. If you were to add more history, geology, etc, like people are asking of you, then it would probably ruin the uniqueness and quality of your videos of your hikes and exploration. They can do their own research. I watch you because of how you create. Please don't change your ways for those people. I love your videos.

Back in the mid 70’s they had a float , motor trip called the friendship cruise. You launched your boat at Green River you then floated down to the Colorado river. You then had to motor up the Colorado river to Moab where your vehicle and trailer would be waiting for you. What a trip I will never forget it. It was held on Memorial Day weekend.

My favorite part was the sound effect of the instagram hole shot!
It was cool to see the off roaders who you could see but who were very unlikely to know that they were in your video.
I stayed in a place on Green River in Green River as a stepping off place to visit Canyon Lands. (I am NOT recommending it!)
I stayed twice… the second time was awful and I wrote a bad review of the owner who caters to the bus loads who stay there and not repeat customers who book independently. I digress.
Thanks for sharing your adventures and the around Moab areas with us.

Your comment at marker 4:00 about convincing people who think the desert is brown and ugly is accurate. I have lived in a lot of places because of being a military brat and decided Arizona was the place to settle in my old age to be closer to that which makes me happiest. I rarely use the words "awe" , "inspiring" or "amazed", but this area has always left me with those feelings. Hence my own artist rendition in my profile. Thumbs up on another great video!

This was a super nice video of southern Utah. I got back about a week or so ago from a 16-day trip that was not near long enough.
I love the unique areas you want to in this video. I might not be able to hike the hike you did, and I appreciate, as always, your efforts to take us places we may never see.
My favorite was the Five Arches. I would love to camp there for a night. .. imagine the midnight views.
I was wondering if the circles and other weird shapes were fossil indentations?
    Anyway, I'm not an expert.
Keep doing you , we love it. They can always buy books to learn about their particular interests.

This all used to be my backyard. Now I’m kicking myself for having never hiked this area. Was a Ranger at Arches for a year then moved to Grand Junction a few years later and lived there for 6 years. Maybe one day I can move back west…

This is exactly why I love Utah and your videos. By the way, I lost your email but would like to send you some new paintings of Arches NP & one of Yosemite Valley. If you'd like to view them, I'd be honored to send them. Another amazing video - Thanks!

Those brown circular things about 10:35 look like fossil shells, some bowl side up, some bowl side down (with just the rim showing), but I’m no scientist.

What a fascinating trek with multiple sites to see. The different geological piece are so fascinating...we each should look up these different items ourselves...it would be a great treasure hunt of knowledge rather than you do it all for us. Thanks again for sharing this great trek.

On to New Mexico! Yay. That's my old stomping grounds. Well, at least the southern part. I'm looking forward to see where you go.

That lower road is Hey Joe canyon road and is now closed, like so many other existing roads in the area.
We hiked this early 2024 and were the only ones there.

Thanks, too, for the closing drone shots. Altitude perspectives make a huge difference for me, seeing just where I am in the scheme of things - so much of desert beauty is blocked by my viewing perspective. I'm always wearing myself out climbing up hills just to make out the terrain beyond. And, yeah, I also would've wanted to hang out by those arches a few more hours maybe. What a spot, to be so near the Green River bow.

Another amazing place in Utah! No wonder you have spent so much time there! The red stone at the end made me think of the red of the dinosaur fossils in your other video. 🤔 The red jasper in my area is different but then I find it on the beach or along rivers.😊
