    Just to be clear on my stance: any state gun law on top of/in addition to constitutional carry is wrong (see outro of the video). This is an inherent American right that shall not be infringed. However, I cannot openly advocate for breaking laws that are currently in place unless I want to lose my channel.
    I know a lot of people are saying they carry regardless of any law in place, and to each their own. But keeping in mind the concept of "being an asset in your communities", you won't be much of an asset if you wrongfully end up behind bars because a cop sees you printing, or you end up in a massive legal battle after a self-defense shooting, no matter how morally justified you feel.
    This video is merely meant to present other options to you. What you do with that information is up to you. Definitely open to conversations in the comments though, thanks guys.

    Anyone living in Colorado: Colorado knife laws divide knives into three categories: 1. knives you can never carry, 2. knives you can carry openly, and 3. knives you can carry concealed:
    Knives you can never carry: These include ballistic knives and blackjacks.
    Knives you can carry openly: These include legal knives, such as folding knives, switchblades, and fixed blade knives.
    Knives you can carry concealed: These include legal knives with blades shorter than 3.5 inches, as well as hunting and fishing knives of any blade length. However, there are some restrictions on concealed carry:
    You can't conceal carry a knife with a blade longer than 3.5 inches beyond your home or property.
    You can't conceal carry a knife on school grounds.
    Switchblades are legal to carry everywhere except in some cities, like Denver.

    As someone who has just had to move from Florida to New Jersey, I've seen both ends of the spectrum. I had a CCW in Florida (not needed anymore, but good to have for reciprocity). I just got my CCW in New Jersey (it cost me close to $700 in classes & certifications & fees :( ). You are restricted to 10-round mags (+1) & in the 19, that mag is actually longer by 2 rounds than the stacked mag, so you have to wear loose clothes not to print. Also, since all rounds are on the right side of a stacked-size mag, it throws the weight balance a tad off & you have to do some extra range time to get used to the different balance. I also carry 2 extra mags IWB of Hornaday Critical Defense & one of Critical Duty.
    A New Jersey court just recognized on July 31, 2024 the right for private citizens to own AR-15 style rifles. However, since the people who brought the suit only used the Colt as an example, the judge only ruled that the freedom to own an AR platform was only if it was a Colt. No Daniels Defense, no PSA - only Colt. I expect that to be widened to include all in a follow-up suit now that precedent has been set. Despite this, all types of AR & BR rifles proliferate in NJ, but I'm afraid that ownership turnes a "Good Guy" officially into a "Bad Guy." As for me - I'm not admitting to anything ;).
    Knife laws are weird in NJ. You can carry a folding knife, openly or concealed, up to 5" long blade, as long as it isn't assisted, automatic, gravity, OTF, or a dagger (sharpened on both ends of the blade). You can also carry fixed blades up to 10" (if you are of age) as long as you can offer a legitimate explanation as to why you carry it (self-defense doesn't count...sigh). Since you can't carry a dagger unless you can come up with a legitimate reason to have it (I've never known a cop who would agree to one), your G10 daggers would be illegal. You CAN carry a Ceramic knife with G10 handle as long as only one side is sharpened & there are several folding knives that fit that & won't be detected by a magnetometer. StabWorks makes a great concealed-carry knife called the Scratch Pick with a blade a bit over 2" - sharpened on the upper side not the lower - or on both edges. I carry a one-sided one weak-side IWB for fending off grapplers long enough make room to pull my gen 3 Glock 19 with red dot & Crimson Trace green laser, if necessary - but you can only carry the version of the Scratch Pick with the spine side sharpened. You can't carry punch knives because there is no legitimate reason they recognize for one. I also carry a tactical flashlight, one of my knife collection of one-hand-open knives sharpened to hair-popping edge as well as a thumbtab-deploy old Ka-Bar Jesse Jarosz-designed folding tactical knife.
    Having established that I like & collect guns & knives & always concealed carry, I want to say something about 2A that I learned getting an Ivy League Political Science degree that even most Constitutional scholars & judges don't know. The opening subordinate clause of the Second Amendment uses what used to be known as a "conditional being" clause. It is a form of grammar that disappeared from the language close to 200 years ago. If understood, it makes the following primary clause dependent upon the truth of the conditional being clause, so the 2A is NOT absolute as I had thought & all 2A people, including Supreme Court justices do. The original Constitution was written in a form of English closer to Shakespeare's time than today's English. "Shall" in the Constitution is translated as "Must" today, for example.
    The subordinate clause reads "A well regulated Militia, BEING NECESSARY to the security of a free State..." and the primary clause is "... the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed." BEING NECESSARY is the 'conditional being' phrase. In modern-day English, it could be rendered "As long as a well regulated Militia is necessary to the security of a free State..." or "If a well regulated Militia is necessary to the security of a free State..." In other words, if this condition becomes false, the primary clause is also false. Tricky to those who are not educated in 1780s Noah Webster-ish English, but true if you are a Strict Constructionist & trained in the argot. In Article I Section 8 (Powers of Congress) are two paragraphs that define a well regulated militia, how members are trained, officers appointed & what the militia (now known as the state's National Guard) can be used for. Though Madison saw it as a protection against a potential federal army invading states, that was not written into the Constitution and Article II in the powers of the President gives the President the right to override the States & take control of their National Guards in an emergency. The original Framers were opposed to maintaining a permanent standing Army, so the Militias were intended as a stop-gap to defend the country until a regular army could be raised & armed and also provide a pool of weekend-trained soldiers to first man it. Article I, Section 8 gives only 2 situations where a militia can be used as a military force. One is in the case of an actual or imminent invasion by a foreign power, and the other is for the state or federal government to suppress an insurrection or seditious violence. It does NOT provide for individuals or self-forming "militias" to possess arms to oppose a federal government that is intrusive, invasive, or even merely of a differing political philosophy. Sorry, guys, I was pissed off to learn this, too.
    The right to "constitutional," open permit, concealed permit, restrictions or complete ban in my understanding is based on the Tenth Amendment that gives to each state (or the people - the Constitution uses "people" to refer to group rights & "person" to apply to individual rights) the right to legislate rights not clearly set out in the body of the Constitution. If a state legislature (or the nation's legislature) passes a bill regulating guns - from total freedom to total bans - we are bound to obey if we are to remain "Good Guys." I prefer the freedoms in Florida for gun & knife, but I'm stuck in Jersey for the next year or so. Still, I am concealed carrying a semi-auto 9mm & 3 knives at all times (plus whatever other EDC gear I think necessary at the time), so it isn't as bad as it was before Bruen.

    • @defencivsolutions
      @defencivsolutions  หลายเดือนก่อน

      Good info, NJ sounds like it sucks just as bad as CA, MA, or NY.
      Interesting perspective on the 2A. I've heard that interpretation before, and I think that is one way to look at it, but I disagree with your analysis because it could also be interpreted that the right to keep and bear arms IS necessary to maintain a well regulated militia for the security of of a free state, and in this case state being the word used to describe a country. So, my interpretation is that we the people have the right to keep and bear arms and be trained in the use of weapons to defend our state/country. I think this is why so many politicians disagree on its meaning because none of us were there when it was written.
      Bottom line is, it does say the words "the right to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed" which I think is pretty damn clear haha

    OMG YES!!!!! In regards to your intro. I keep reading people's comments like "will not comply" blah, blah, blah, blah. That's just macho bravado. I've said basically the same thing when responding to those comments. People need to understand that laws that are enforceable; it doesn't matter what your "feelings" are regarding them. Whether you agree with a particular law your not, not complying means you are a "Criminal" and our; the 2A community's argument that these unconstitutional laws only target "law abiding" citizens goes right out the window. Not complying with the law is EXACTLY what the left wants us to do. Once you get caught and are convicted, then the gun grabbers can say: "See? Citizens even if armed legally are the problem because they don't obey the law! Now we need to have more gun laws. Now lets start banning this thing and that thing, and on and on.
    Complying to unconstitutional laws as much as it may make you mad and upset is what needs to be done until said law is struck down in the courts. To not comply only plays right into the hands of the left. Also, calling out others who say that they comply as cowards is wrong. It's this kind of name calling and labeling that is the biggest cause of the 2A community being fractured like it is. So STOP IT!
    And before anyone calls me out and says; oh well you must not live in a restricted state, so easy for you to say. Well guess what; you are right. I don't live in a restricted state, yet. However, I live in Northern Oregon. I live "between enemy lines" and my state is under constant threat of having restrictive gun laws put in place. The only reason we aren't living under the Ballot Measure 114 magazine restriction and permit to purchase scheme is because an Eastern Oregon county judge put an injunction on it.

    Lots of keyboard warriors acting tough about carrying a gun no matter what. It doesn’t matter your feelings, understand the EDC mindset and understand your laws. You do no one any good being locked up because you brought a gun to an area that cannot have them. I have a CCW in my state and with the current Anti-2A in parts of the country and my state giving 0 reciprocity, I will keep my CCW at home. I also have children that need to grow up with a dad. Be sensible with your EDC, you don’t always need a big ole 1911 on your hip and two spare mags when a car accident occurs and having a CAT was a better option than those spare mags. EDC is a mindset, just like he discussed with fitness, and understanding the purpose of your EDC is the priority not a byproduct. Also EDC doesn’t mean just “carry a gun and you are good to go”. @ 5:00 - Actually G10 is not a polymer; G10 is commonly called fiberglas. It is a high pressure laminate bonded with an epoxy resin. Sometimes referred to as garolite. G10’s early and most continued use is as “the board” in Printed Circuit Boards. Thin copper sheeting is clad to each side of the G10 board and per design & function, excess copper is chemically etched away. You’re left with electronic circuit patterns bonded to each side of the G10. 👈✅

    • @defencivsolutions
      @defencivsolutions  27 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Definitely against banning books in general but also context matters. Young elementary school children should not be spoon-fed sexual content like a lot of school boards are trying to push on them and groom them to be gender-confused. So I guess my answer is it depends.

    • @inteljumperxx
      @inteljumperxx 25 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @@defencivsolutions have you actually read the books that are being banned..? This just shows how ignorant you are bringing up talking points rather than facts. Some odd 1700 books got banned just in the last half of 2022, mostly in backwards inbred southern states. They ban books that have absolutely nothing to do with pedophilia. Award winning books, books that I’m sure woman you know in your life enjoy. But please continue to listen to propaganda and not do your own research, that’s how they want us, divide and ignorant.
