When I was 14 my dad went psychotic. He was in and out of psychiatric hospitals but was never the same. I really would have liked to hear what John Lee said was his treatment for dispair, depression. I don't know if I'll ever get over the loss of my dad to psychosis.

What he's calling despair is only disappointment. True despair is complete and utter hopelessness which far surpasses the low of depression. It's depression without any hope of treatment, to the giving up on life.

That was curious phrase: "I wouldn't go to a church that would have me." That's sad.
