      I've just finished painting my First Warhammer army in 30 years using this video. Thank you... my MT army wouldn't look any good without you, so thank you so much.

    About to start painting a Minas Tirith army I bought when the the figures first came out ,, how many years ago ? They have been in my pile of shame / opportunity too long and have been inspired by this video to paint them. A superb easy to follow tutorial with a minimum of colours in the pallet. I will definitely be using a cobble stone base as this really sets off the figures.

      Thank you so so much! That is very kind of you to say! They are super old models and still hold up nowadays i'd say, nothing more impressive than a host of silver in the white city!

    Superb content you guys are putting out! One improvement which would help a lot for painting tutorials is the youtube feature to show different steps on the timeline.

    How did the units look much shiner and brighter in the end? Does this naturaly happens or did you do something extra to them

    • @PlanetMithril
      @PlanetMithril  ปีที่แล้ว

      Nope, this is a direct result of this recipe, I don't add any extra steps in the videos, they should give you exactly the result at the end, in theory

    What is a good way to paint the bow and spearshafts on these models?

    • @PlanetMithril
      @PlanetMithril  ปีที่แล้ว

      I would recommend dryad bark and gorthor brown

    How do you paint the bows and spears? Great tutorial btw. Looking to get started on my collection

    • @PlanetMithril
      @PlanetMithril  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      My best advice would be to check out the Citadel Guard tutorial, there's a guide there for painting the wood grain on the spears! Hope you're enjoying the videos!

    What would you recommend to do if you want to add some detail on the long hair of the warriors?

    • @PlanetMithril
      @PlanetMithril  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I would layer up from dryad bark through to gorthor, then add small amounts of Karak stone to the gorthor for added detail highlights, hope this helps

    What tips can you give for doing the tree on the shield.
    Yours look like a tree.. Mine's the White Umbrella of Gondor..

    • @PlanetMithril
      @PlanetMithril  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Best tips i can give tbh are take your time, keep a fine point to your brush and go slow with the paint, remember, you can always add more but you can't take it away once its on there! My first attempts looked like cauliflowers of gondor!

    Hi there! I'm foreign and new to the miniatures painting and don't quite understand what "wash with *colour name*" means. Could you please explain?

    • @PlanetMithril
      @PlanetMithril  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi there, I hope your miniature journey is going well! Wash with colour name basically means to apply an all over coat with one of the citadel washes which will naturally sink into the recesses and create natural depth and shadow for the following highlighting and layering stages.

    man, i love your painting style. I love the transitions and the aura that remains at the end in each miniature. I have a question that I have tried to find through your videos and channels but that I don't know if you have ever explained .. what type of varnish do you usually use? spray? brush? mate? brand?

    • @PlanetMithril
      @PlanetMithril  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thank you my friend! Glad you enjoy the minis! I actually do not varnish my models out of personal preference as they come out a bit hit and miss sometimes and the last thing you want is a glossy model. All I do is give a thin coat of lahmian medium just as a little protection and to tie some of the highlights together a smidge once finished.

    What brushes do you use? I recognise the citadel ones but not sure about the other ones you use

    • @PlanetMithril
      @PlanetMithril  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      The others are a combination of artis opus and brokentoad brushes
