Tho I am sad for the change because the idea of Gardevoir being male is so cool, I wish we got more male/masc garde rep
I don't think this is actually a hot take but: There's nothing androgynous about Gardevoir despite the mental gymnastics that some vocal minority makes to pretend that they don't see how feminine Gardevoir actually is and always has been. I've seen people getting a lot of hate just for saying that they want Kirlia to only be able to evolve into Gardevoir if it's female. Which is utter nonsense because they aren't saying anything weird. Kirlia should definitely only evolve into Gardevoir if female. I always make sure to catch a female Ralts when I'm planning to have a Gardevoir in my team. And I honestly wish they make the evolution line to only be able to evolve into Gardevoir if female in the new games. Pokemon is no stranger to making pokemon that are intentionally designed with one specific gender in mind. Gardevoir was always meant to be portrayed as feminine. Some people just get confused by the japanese name but that's actually a full on misinterpretation since Sirknight due to the way is pronounced can be read as Saa-knight which roughly translates to "Come here, knight". They could even use the pokedex entries to say that the Ralts line is naturally evolving into being a gender based evolution. Similar to how the wormadam/mothim line currently works. And that way they could justify Kirlia only evolving into Gardevoir if female in the new games. But an excuse isn't even necessary because they've already made changes to the ralts line in the past like adding the fairy type and adding it to the human-like group. Not to mention that Gardevoir's portrayal in pretty much all forms of media has been exclusively female. So I hope for them to also adjust the gender ratios for Gardevoir to be female only and that way be consistent with its design and portrayal. In fact, they've already started to do that for things like the tera raids battles with certain pokemon. Pokemon like eevee, meganium, delphox and primarina, which are overall clearly seen as feminine looking had been added to the tera raid den events exclusively as females. Sylveon is male in Pokémon Unite because its unevolved form, Eevee, has a spiked tail, which you can see in the video. Well this is shocking
@@AlexMetamorphCamel Yep
I’ve always known that the one from Unite is a female, but I kinda wish it was male since I always imagine that the three heads pecking at each other during times of frustration, almost like brothers in a cartoon where they all hate each other
@@yyphases5257 I can agree with that
Not regisse 😭
The TTS wasn't good at it 🥲
Sylveon being a boy is making me think he's a femboy and I love me a femboy pokemon heueheh
👌
The video itself is neat but the pronunciations are fucking killing me
Glad you liked the video! TTS couldn't pronounce the names properly 🥲, apologies
por poco me da un infarto pero se me bajo cuando se podría ser de ambos ganero
Why sylveon is a male?
Could you explain?
Sylveon is male in Pokémon Unite because its unevolved form, Eevee, has a spiked tail, which you can see in the video. According to official gender differences, female Eevees have a rounded tail, while males have a sharp tail. Pokémon don’t change gender when they evolve, so since Sylveon's Eevee form is male, it remains male after evolving. Fun fact: Many people assume Eevees are mostly female due to their design, but the official Pokédex shows the gender ratio is 87.5% male and 12.5% female, meaning there are more male Eevees than female ones.
@@2ndLSFH25 Thanks man.
REGISAY??😂😂😂
TTS pronounciations issues 🥲, apologies
Nice video... 👍
Thank you 👍
Why sylveon🤧
Ask the devs 🫠
This is unfair how come Cynthia the only have female garchomp
Well, sadly we can’t do anything about it
does he pronounce the pokemon like that on purpose?
TTS doesn’t seem to be able to pronounce some Pokémon names properly 🥲, Apologies
@@2ndLSFH25 ohhhhh. that’s some good tts then
but good video tho man
Thanks 👍
i’m pretty sure all starters in the game are male except for meowscarada
Probably
I enjoyed this
Glad to hear that
Sad Scizor is female, but happy that Leafeon is male
???
@@potatoeboi ?
The "-(say something weird)
*What?
-What?" moment
I'm not. It's accurate to real mantises (the real insect it's partly inspired by). The females are bigger and stronger than the males.
@@mjangelvortex ok
some of those pronunciations were assaulted ngl
😭 I blame it on tts
@@2ndLSFH25 i knowww text to speech is so bad sometimes 😭😭😭
QUE ONDA SILVEON ES HOMBRE!! JAKAJAKAJ👽👍
Yep! 👍
Gardevoir, kirlia & ralts are females
They have a gender ratio of 50% male / 50% female, but according to the game files, they’re female in Pokémon Unite!
Regigaigas????
It's because I am using tts, apologies
These are all neat and all, and ty for pointing them out. But "Re-ji-say" 💀 its made of Ice...
Glad you liked it! TTS messed up the names, apologies 🥲
Wiat sylveon ARE MALE😨😨😨😨
Yes it's male in Unite according to its Eevee's tail but the game files has got another story to tell
Es muy importante que algunos pokémon se diferencien cuanto al género.
Agreed! 👍
Petition to have both male and female option pokemon ingame.
Like in the games, males have higher atk/sp atk while lower hp.
Female have lower atk/sp atk but higher hp
Nice idea, but i don't feel like Timi is going to do that anytime soon
😮
Some pokemon don't have gender or don't have a way to define them
Still I want a way to change your pokemon's gender with no stats change
That isnt a thing in the games
Where did you even get that 💀
@@Edujs23 pokemon mystery dungeon
Edit: in the pmd games, males have higher crit ratio and females have higher accuracy/evasion.
The only time where different genders have varied stats are with indeedee, males having higher offensive and speed stats and females with higher defence and hp stats
also DAMN that ai voice can’t pronounce any names right
Yeah, the TTS had pronunciation issues 🥲, apologies!

sylveon is a dude? with all those skins?
A boy wearing a dress doesn’t make him a girl. Eevee’s visuals show that Sylveon is a boy. Feminine outfits suit Eeveelutions because of their naturally feminine design, even though 87.5% of Eevees are male
My headcannon is that Sylveon is trans, it already have the colors~
Nah he’s a femboy
MTF or FTM?
The mispronounciations are terrible in this. But it's a neat video otherwise
The TTS had problems with pronounciations 🥲, apologies
You should give random genders to the remaining Pokemon.
@@echevy1046 Could have, but I'm sticking to official gender differences for accuracy. Thanks!
Cinderace is female.
I hate the ai voice so much
Apologies, friend 😭 I didn’t have any other options!
