Natalie is my reference when people say "you should have another kid". Like my daughter, Natalie is an only child, and as you can see she is well spoken, educated, intelligent and aware. I hope to one day realize that I've taught my daughter to also find her own path to success and accomplishment.
Heard about her when a friend saw 'Leon'... Fell in love with her in 'Star Wars 2'.. Realized she is more than just a pretty face in 'Closer'... Disappointed from her at 'The Other Boleyn Girl'... Overall: She is truly amazing person. I have the feeling she remained a 'decent human' after all the earl and sudden stardon as a teenager...
There are a ton of different ways one could take this movie. Transformation into a woman from a girl is one. Or delving into a darkness that she was instilled in her from her mothers failures (in which we witness with the self portraits destruction) and her overwhelming desires to be the best, or perhaps, since swans are monogamous, she wouldn't find another creature like herself as the white swan, so in order to be happy, she would need to die, or, in order to achieve the emotional sensation of perfection, she had to really feel something for the first time, hence, the shard of glass in her body. Honestly, the writing and acting are so fantastic, I can find another story line within the same movie every time I watch it and that makes this the best movie I've seen in years. LOVE YA NAT.
cat crazy the movie is very complex and versatile to interpretation and u can’t categorise it because it’s such a complicated movie. It’s honestly one of the best movies on earth with an outstanding performance by Natalie Portman.
Natalie Portman nagyon jó, szép, és aranyos színésznő. Emellett okos, többnyelven beszél, nagyon bőbeszédű, tudatos, és megfontolt. Lehet róla példát venni.
Man I just LOVE her, she's perfection! Best Hollywood actress by far and she's beautiful and intelligent. She deserved that Oscar! And so down to earth.. she's a real person, but so gifted. She's a good role model for young girls unlike, (cough, cough), Miley Cyrus..
You have to make many sacrifices in the world of dance. And especially ballet that puts a lot of stress and pain and physiological torture. But, it's addictive! It's my life.
god damn that was an interesting interview. when she started talking about being an actor and the type of direction she likes, i became completely enthralled. once again, god damn
@AWickedMind She wasn't criticizing, she was just telling how it truly is. If you were to ask her about Hollywood she'd probably say that there's way too much pressure to be thin. What she said about ballet is true, but I've also heard her really build up ballet and say that it's such a beautiful art.
why havent I seen this til just now? lol... this was such a brilliant movie. very dark and twisted and disturbing (that's why it was brilliant, of course.) ;) I always go for movies like this.. I just find people's internal experiences much more intriguing than what goes on around them. And Black Swan was exceptionally deep and layered, even stuff on the surface. like what appears to be the "bad guy" can be an illusion, the enemy is really just within you.. Also, Natalie is awesome.
I'm hoping that Mila & Natalie will be able to get back with 1 another to do another film. Maybe hopefully a comedy. Something light-hearted if possible. 🌹❤️🌹❤️🌹❤️
I LOVE how she talks about the fact that she doesn't want to work after this and there's a sort of glint in her eye... because at this point she probably knows she's pregnant and the world doesn't.
@rueckwaertssalto kids at the pageants. she's talking about beauty pageants and comparing the pressures on the young girls at the pageants to those of actors wanting to satisfy their directors.
@SanDiegoStudent "There are 139 dance shots in the film. 111 are Natalie Portman untouched. 28 are her dance double Sarah Lane"- Darren Aronofsky ........... so obvioulsy sarah didnt do 95% as she said and about Natalie´s personal life well thats only her business n btw the man is the one who chosses to leave the girl he was with for someone else so if someone destroyed a relationship was Benjamin n Sean, cuz if u love someone u wont leave that person no matter what
Everyone who is complaining about this movie probably just don't get it...it is a hard movie to understand but it is great, i personaly think it is one of the best movies and i'm sure it didn't get oscar and so many awards for being crap. ;)
This entry is to be found on the Black Swan trivia page on IMDB.com: "Natalie Portman stated after the experience she had working with director Darren Aronofsky that she would work with him again at any point in the future." I think that this is notable considering the injuries, low budget, etc. on this film.
@AWickedMind Yeah but I don't think she was saying it to be negative, when it's just the truth. She realizes that Hollywood is obsessed with youth, I mean everyone knows that, but this interview was supposed to be about the movie and ballet, not Hollywood.
@jgh37 trivialize ballet? WTF are you talking about??? why, because it doesn't depict YOUR experience? this movie is EASILY one of the best films i've seen in YEARS. as a general rule, i don't like most movies, but this film was BRILLIANT! i took a student/friend of mine to see the film. she knows nothing about ballet, but the movie changed her life when she saw her own neuroses reflected in Portman's character. she even identified with the glass in her stomach! sorry you missed it.
Did Charlie Rose at the beginning of the show, get the plot of the movie wrong? Or is it just me. I notice Darren looked a bit confused at the beginning.
if you look like natalie portman than my only questions are these. 1 are you over 18 and 2 if anyone ever bothers you send me their names and i'll handle it 3 would you marry me? okay i guess that's 2 questions and promise
Man, I bet NatPort cares who thinks she's a "homewrecker" based off the gossip columns while she sits in her oscar/golden globe/SAG awards, endless success, and upcoming marriage and parenthood. Bet the burns by bored youtube trolls really get to her.
Natalie is such a natural beauty. Her smile is mesmerizing.
Natalie is my reference when people say "you should have another kid".
Like my daughter, Natalie is an only child, and as you can see she is well spoken, educated, intelligent and aware. I hope to one day realize that I've taught my daughter to also find her own path to success and accomplishment.

wwwf hfd. .
You did a good job raising you're daughter.
Amen
Listen to how sharp and insightful this woman is. She will be a director someday and a good one. Watch what I tell you.
+David McClelland nvm. Just researched her and BOOM she's already directed something. Knew it!
Black Swan is such a good movie & Natalie Portman is awesome!
such a wonderful woman, full of care, love and thoughtfulness towards the others...
She's absolutely Gorgeous with or without makeup! :)
There are a ton of different ways one could take this movie. Transformation into a woman from a girl is one. cat crazy now there's mother! That movie has made me compulsively think about it days afterwards unlike any other film.
cat crazy the movie is very complex and versatile to interpretation and u can’t categorise it because it’s such a complicated movie. It’s honestly one of the best movies on earth with an outstanding performance by Natalie Portman.
she is smart and brilliant
this movie seems to be about Natalie Portman ... pleasing the director, finding your own pleasure leaving behind the baby voice, being a workalholic
Natalie Portman nagyon jó, szép, és aranyos színésznő. Emellett okos, többnyelven beszél, nagyon bőbeszédű, tudatos, és megfontolt. Lehet róla példát venni.
I 💘 this film. I'm glad that I own this film. I just think the world of Mila Kunis & Natalie Portman.
Those two are so talented and beautiful I feel jealous and starstruck at the same time...
She's the perfectest actress in Hollywood!!
She’s gorgeous. Especially in this interview
Very nice interview!
am no expert on hair styles....but this looks perfect on her...
You have to make many sacrifices in the world of dance. And especially ballet that puts a lot of stress and pain and physiological torture. But, it's addictive! It's my life.
Her face is absolutely perfect Gorgeous girl. And she’s very very smart.
Damn she's beautiful!
Love your work Darren
"Younger, thinner, prettier, more appealing." I doubt you can find any woman who posses all four traits more than Natalie herself.
Darren is such an artist. He's also hot....damn.
My three favorite directors are Darren Aronofsky, Darren Arosofsky, and DOFSKY
Darren is very nice and warm, for some reason I wasn't expecting that.
NATALIE PORTMAN SHE IS A BORN ACTRESS
natalie portman is the most beatiful woman in the world. shes so sweet and lovely.
Devotion...
A dream...
A breath...
A smile...
A sigh...
Of grace...
An aura of magic
That strength and vitality...

Very good movie. I love Aronofsky's movies
she is not the only woman on this planet
expand your focus
12:00 "I like hard things" ( ͡͡ ° ͜ ʖ ͡ °)
I know that Natalie Portman is beautiful, but I think that Darren Aronofsky is pretty damn good looking too.
Natalie Portman: Classy, talented, smart and beautiful.
she is the most beautiful woman in the entire galaxy
god damn that was an interesting interview. when she started talking about being an actor and the type of direction she likes, i became completely enthralled. once again, god damn

Natalie Portman. I want one. And I love how successful the guidance to get rid of her 'little girl voice' worked great! :P
why havent I seen this til just now? lol... this was such a brilliant movie. very dark and twisted and disturbing (that's why it was brilliant, of course.) ;) I always go for movies like this.. Also, Natalie is awesome.
I like aranofsky's nose.
and I somehow thought he'd be a lot more sinister.
Yeah like disturbed? Maybe he is deep down and puts on an act
Darren laughs like Seth Rogen at 21:30.
Wow. It's uncanny. haha
Every year she gets more beautiful. Just like Amanda Peet.
Darren looks like Dewey from sream
I hate all of Darren's movies, took one last chance on him on this one, liked it quite a bit, and he comes off so great here.
Pi, Requiem For A Dream, The Fountain, The Wrestler.
Can't name one.
I'm hoping that Mila & Natalie will be able to get back with 1 another to do another film. Maybe hopefully a comedy. Something light-hearted if possible. 🌹❤️🌹❤️🌹❤️
11:57 "I like hard things"
*In Batman voice "Then you gonna love me"
I LOVE how she talks about the fact that she doesn't want to work after this and there's a sort of glint in her eye... because at this point she probably knows she's pregnant and the world doesn't.
there an inviting innocense in her beauty
My right hand of god, will work for thee, and write out scripts of the divinity and fun of God. Love, Christian
She looks terrified in this interview
She's so incredibly cute.
@rueckwaertssalto
kids at the pageants. she's talking about beauty pageants and comparing the pressures on the young girls at the pageants to those of actors wanting to satisfy their directors.
i will always think of her as the girl from the professional.
YES YES MAKE ANOTHER MOVIE CALLED GRANDGER
@SanDiegoStudent "There are 139 dance shots in the film. 111 are Natalie Portman untouched. 28 are her dance double Sarah Lane"- Darren Aronofsky ........... so obvioulsy sarah didnt do 95% as she said and about Natalie´s personal life well thats only her business n btw the man is the one who chosses to leave the girl he was with for someone else so if someone destroyed a relationship was Benjamin n Sean, cuz if u love someone u wont leave that person no matter what
Strange film but she deserved the oscar
she looks so youthful somehow...in terms of personality
Everyone who is complaining about this movie probably just don't get it...it is a hard movie to understand but it is great, i personaly think it is one of the best movies and i'm sure it didn't get oscar and so many awards for being crap. ;)
I'M IN LOVE WITH HER
people say I look liker her. Hope to act like her one day.

"I like hard things"... :)
I like Darren's moustache, it's a good look for him.
i still see that nina shade in her eyes! o.o
lol, they cut in the middle ofthe scene when Rider asked how Natalie got the part, and then cut back again... Lol, to avoid akwardness or why?
If she played nina perfectly she’ll play hamlet perfectly
Yeah, cause your opinion is the official one.
We're gonna have a New England conceptual baby with awesome ziegiest hair. love God.
Is there an interview about Noah?
like nataly portman
@DRisLegend200919 so? I've never seen it done as a movie before, thus as a movie it's ORIGINAL. plus aronofskys portrayal is art
I`m an actress.
0:07
darren is like "wait what? he, she, what the hell is he talkig about?"
this movie freaks me out
Darren Aronofsky has one sexy and manly mustache.

@crysis327 She is an amazing artist. You cant compare people this way.
agreed

and beyond... probably
How come the entire cast of Black Swan never do an interview together? Like Natalie and Mila.

MY RELIGIONS
Man, I bet NatPort cares who thinks she's a "homewrecker" based off the gossip columns while she sits in her oscar/golden globe/SAG awards, endless success, and upcoming marriage and parenthood. Bet the burns by bored youtube trolls really get to her.
Thanks Darren for subliminate naty - Pi
Galaxy? Universe, u mean!
Natalie: "i like hard things"...nice
@DRisLegend200919 wtf??,its based on a charachter and its ambitions to be a kick ass performer on a play, ist most definitely not taken from a play.
He stole a lot of the content from an anime movie called perfect blue
He actually bought the rights to use it. He also used parts from Perfect Blue for his other film Requiem for a Dream.
@DRisLegend200919 ?
