I shoot several Remington 870 shotguns. Jamming is generally the result of short stroking the round or using reloaded shells that are misshapen. Occasionally, shells from Europe will not quite work, either, once in a while.
Hey Rob... The .410 is a cruel mistress who can give you both pleasure and pain! 🤣 I am a .410 fanatic and through the years have had the same problems with pumps and semi-autos. The ammo rim diameter and rim thickness are the key factors in clean extraction/ejection. Most US shells average .531" in rim diameter with a rim thickness of around .050". Some Italian made Fiocchi I purchased worked well in my O/U but refused to feed in my pump. This batch of shells measured .525" in rim diameter with a rim thickness of around .040" and gave me results like you are getting. I haven't tried USA built Fiocchi yet to see if there is a similar problem. I guess the moral of the story is measure the cartridges of the brands available to you and see if you can find some that are built closer to US spec. Great video! Keep whacking and stacking them!
Great video Rob , I also shoot a mossy 410 and use it as standard but that’s a good shout about using cheek riser etc , think I’ll try n modify mine , I find it invaluable around the cattle sheds and in the yard on the corvids 👍🏼
I’ve got one of these it’s very effective, give the Hull High Pheasants a go I prefer the 7’s obviously louder than the sub sonic but hit hard and pattern well 👍
Another great video rob love the banter nd laughter between you too in the hide.can you actually notice a difference if you use a non subsonic cartridge in the 410
I bought a black carbon one last week. I patterned a few 3 inch cartridges and the subsonic was the best at 25 yards. I hope mossberg are sending you some free stuff after that advertisement. Keep up the good work.
Great video and excellent explanation of your gun . I find my .410 mossy likes to be racked hard .jams are very few and fsr between .and it seems to work with any cartridge i feed it . I used to have a 20 b version that would leave carts in the barrel . I found with that gamebore and nsi carts worked well . But anything from layvale /hull would jam up .y .410 mossy has an add on moderator not the built in one .i find it kills better and longer ranges . But a .410 os always about pickingvyour birds and keeping the distances realistic .
Helpful information just bought one which comes with stock extender 👍might try raising comb see if any better. Would of been good to see shot cam to see where your shooting. Great shooting 👌.
Good effort rob ,great to see you lads having a bit of hide bants😅 love using mine around the farm on the crows and jackdaws this year got lots around in Wiltshire Certainly not found a better cartridge either , did try the little fiochi cartridges ‘ not subs but kick like a mule for a small load Great on the clays but obv a bit expensive 😅
Great video Rob. I’ve just ordered one so just waiting for it to come through. It would be good to hear your thoughts on what you think about the lead ban in relation to 410, particularly as it seems you’re shooting it often. I hear anything other than fibre wad just gets shredded by the baffles.
Just after coming across your channel Rob and its excellent hard to beat a bit of humour 😀 along with good shooting and advice
Another excellent video Rob, well done.

Wish we could import that suppressor to the colonies here.
Great video rob 🎉
what do you do with all the dead corvids while done shooting
Also how are you finding your acme crow caller
Lol you never seem to mention how much the 410 cartridges are Mr speedy 😂
Have you shot the over and under modified 20 bore ?
Do these cylcle better in the 20 gauge version?
Ι do hope Mossberg is now sending you a nice check for your tremendous advertising
They were £600 before covid ffs , ps try using silicone spray on the cartridges to avoid the sticking
Bună ziua cît costă un amortizor pentru calibru 12 wincester?
How hard is it to purchase suppressor there?
on a shotgun is isnt even listed on your license
Hahaha spit on that thawg!
.410 is not a gauge but a bore
