Despite previously having absolutely no interest in bus conversions, I've been glued to this channel since it started. As someone who also makes TH-cam videos I know the insane amount of time that they take to film and edit. Not only are you building a bus, you are building a legacy of knowledge that future bus builders can use to help them with their own projects. The kind of commitment and willing to share is amazing and I wish you guys all the luck in the world for the next stage of the build. There are thousands of people out there who love what you're doing and really appreciate the time and effort you spend to put these videos together. Please come back and read your supportive comments whenever you're feeling low. During the time of Covid 19, where we're all stuck inside, each video has felt like going on a little adventure with Mela, Don and the cats. I've shared your hopes, successes and (many) failures... you've been my escape for the last 12 months, and I hope you'll soon be able to escape yourself. Sending love xxx
heartfel congrats guys on your marriage, having been there twice, and failing twice, i wish you all the best with your future, a family that plays together stay's together.
This video really shows the effort, committment, and high level of patience involved in a massive transformation like this. I hope this project turns out to be as good as you dream it to be. It is an amazing achievement already. The end result will hopefully be worth all you both have had to endure, and more importantly, your marriage will be stronger than ever.
I love you yall relationship the teamwork is so powerful I bought a 1980 MCI and I'm doing the exact same thing I'm in the demolition phase and boy these buses were built to last definitely not a walk in the park
Oh my gosh. Thank you two so much for all your hard work and for putting it all on video so others can learn from it! I actually got emotional watching this one. By the way, you two make a beautiful couple, and you just seem to belong together! ❤
Man you guys are amazing! I wish I was 20 or 30 years younger so I could tackle something like you guys did. Absolutely wonderful, I’m so jealous. Keep up the great work and by all means enjoy what you’ve accomplished.
When your floor starts having problems popping up it is because it is a floating floor. You NEVER put it down until after the walls are up. Installing anything onto a floating floor ensures the popping. Only thing I can tell you is when this starts to happen you will want to go around each item mounted to that floor and trace cut everything so it becomes a floating floor again. EDIT oh yeah, you are doing a GREAT JOB.
We had a mouse on our transit bus die and couldn’t find it anywhere. Somehow the thing had gotten in the box fan and we were blowing dead mouse air all over the place. Stuck for two weeks!!!! Finally found it. We set traps after seeing a mouse run through. We caught 12-15 before we got it under control again. Put up those ultra sonic repellants.

It's probably a dream come true for you guys lol Just enjoy your well deserved break first and I'll still be here when you get back (even if I don't comment every episode lol)

Buses work GREAT to convert to Motorhomes...Lots of room to innovate install woodstove too..just don't go down the road with woodstove going would CAUSE anxiety to other people thinking Bus on fire..Well DONE
If you can you might think about putting a Diesel heater in. It can run off the same fuel tank of the motor they really work great don't use a lot of fuel and it's nice to be toasty and winner. Love what are doing your RV friend😎👍🇺🇲
Just a word of advise to potential coach converters ,keep in mind that all coaches Prevost or MCI come from the factory with 6” more head room than regular (Greyhound) coaches. So if you are a short person a regular coach would be no problem,if you are TALL then your better off buying a older model motor home that needs to be redone ,it might cost you a little more but it will save you many headaches and TONS of work . Ans there are lots of “dated” motor homes for sale.🇨🇦😎
Its been my dream for a few years but being older with physical limitations anx seeing the amount of work involved, I'm going to have to RV it. They come with plumbing and electric installed; I can just modify accordingly. Its because of videos like this, I can make an informed decision.
I can really appreciate all the time, efforts and energy it took just on this 8 minute video so liked and subscribed for support and look forward to season 4! Great job guys!
Man, watching this build reminded me of when I first bought my bus! I was so gun ho and ready to transform it, I think I got rid of all the seats in an hour. As for finding all the leaks........whereeeeeeeeeeew! That really had me thinking x3. I definitely bit of more than I could chew, but I kept biting and biting and biting. It can become overwhelming because you know at least 90 things that you have to do and I try to start and simultaneously committ to doing 10 as I pass each task. Doesn't matter what it was. That's the only way I would execute all that I had to, as I was doing the build by myself! Nevertheless it was fun and challenging at the same time!
@@Rehabit8 good possibility. I left the plant in 2000. Worked at the plant for 20 years. I actually made all the ignition keys for them. A good place for parts is Hausman bus out of Chicago, if their still around.

That’s a lot of work. We’re looking at doing a mini version of this. Too bad you couldn’t have stayed in CA to do your build. I’m surprised you guys didn’t add insulation to the floors when you had everything up though. That would help with heat and noise. It’s nice to see couples that still get along after such a big project.
We didn’t have a space to work on the bus in CA that was close to where we lived so it worked out easier to move. We do have some insulation in the floor, but I do wish we had more.
