I would have to say that is one beautiful coach but as I have not heard the mileage yet and yes it's a 97 but I can say one thing for sure if it's kept inside in an environment that's made to keep stuff nice and it hasn't been driven well of course it's going to be perfect! Anything will stay in mint condition as long as it's in the right environment with the right people looking after it I mean come on I've seen 1982 motorcycles with no mileage on them on showroom floors in mint condition the reason being they don't get used. And I'm willing to bet this is really suspect of the same thing although it is a beautiful coach I only wish the guy that owned my 96 Silverado would have took care of the body like that as a 96 Silverado everything works on it perfectly but the body wow they didn't take care of it anyway enough rambling thank you so much for sharing this video you can appreciate mint mint stuff like this. I have seen much newer examples that don't even come close to the condition seen here. The phenomenal layout and build are also worth mention in my opinion. The 1990's vibe certainly isn't my favourite and any shade of green is my least favourite, but the condition of everything is such that I couldn't bring myself to change anything. So they camped in there own yard! How manys miles 50? They couldnt pay $5 a gal gas, you said the dealer went broke, maybe never sold it! They still sell stero's with remotes. Why dont u buy it?
This may just very well be my favorite conversion video. I loved how the technician brought enthusiasm and passion. And it was actually quite contagious; it made me want to watch every minute of this video. job well done thank you so much
75 mph is as fast as you can go in a Prevost, the ride really deteriorates over 70. Eagle's are the opposite, the faster you go the better it gets. When you were leaning forward you knew you moving.
Drove those Eagles in the 1970s. Nothing rode or handled like and Eagle. Especially running the PA tpke at night with less traffic. Cornering using both lanes passengers didn't even know you were in a curve. Four speed tranny required double clutch shifts. Really fun to drive downshifting on steep grades. Those were the days left lane and hammer down.
That is the most beautiful museum worthy American Bus Mobile Home that I have ever seen in my 40 years of automotive and truck restoration, this 1997 is in NEW CONDITION..... It is an absolute joy to take this extremely good and informative video. Thank you so much for sharing this beautiful piece of bus history and it is just stunning. Wow

I am impressed with your professionalism sir!! The fact you were concerned 'not' to walk on the carpet and donned your booties, says it all!! Good video. Loved the unit. Wish it were in our drive!!
Since I was a child I've said I'd much rather have something older that's quality, than newer junk; whether it be clothing, furniture, an old farmhouse, vehicles etc!!

I grew up under the hood with my dad from the age of 4 or 5. I'm 56 and female. I completely understand your appreciation for how well that bus was maintained. I've never seen an engine (that had actually been run) look that clean. Are you sure the owner EVER drove the mansion? ☺️
Absolutely beautiful, wow I'm blown away by the shape she's in. The owners of that coach did an amazing job at preserving the beauty. The care they gave is evident. I'd love to be the proud owner of that bus. Great video as always and great shout out to Andrew as well... It's a shame he wasn't there to actually see how beautiful she is. Happy safe and healthy travels brother.
I was a Mechanic at Greyhound based in Brisbane..We had a fleet of these. They are made in Belgium using using American Detroit 8V71 Diesels and Spicer gearbox..The frame was all Boxing NO Chassis Rails.. They are known as SILVER EAGLES..
Extraordinarily well maintained, if it weren’t for the stains in the bed’s storage area I would not believe it ever left the garage never mind the yard!
I saw that too. It must have had some condensation that was absorbed, but changing out that carpet and fixing any damage would be the easiest thing you could hope to have to do on most any 97 RV. Lol
There is one thing that I will say for certain. If I ever own an RV and it needs worked on I would do my best to find you and have you work on it. Your passion in this video for the RVs at hand is stellar
The magic of the randomness of TH-cam, I just discovered this video. Truly a beautiful bus conversion that, after more than 20 years is in incredible shape. (The previous owner(s) must have been fanatical at maintenance.) In 2007, I purchased a 1995 Blue Bird Wanderlodge --- that was in "good" condition, but (even at only 12 years old) showed a LOT more wear and tear. (I was probably the third or forth owner, and the immediately previous owner had been full-timing in it for a few years.) The features were quite similar to this coach (no slide outs) and the Wanderlodge was quite well made. I was given advice to "hold out" $10K (today I'd say more like $20K) to pay for upgrades and modifications --- and unexpected repairs. Indeed, after getting it home from Texas, I found a tendency for the engine to "run hot." (Not good -- a rebuild on the DD Series 60 would cost a fortune.) I found a radiator shop that had a contract with our local transit district (familiar with busses) -- that found the radiator, outside the area swept by the fan, was completely closed up with oily dust. (Eventually, I noticed that oil fumes venting from the engine, were pulled back through the radiator whenever the coach was stopped at idle.) Expensive, but I replaced the radiator core with a newer design (that was being used on the transit busses) that was more efficient and coolant never went near redline ever again. (I also had the radiator steam cleaned every couple of years.) I note that the radiator was behind the charge air cooler (from the outside) and was heavily shrouded (for fan efficiency) from the inside -- so actually LOOKING at the radiator was very hard to do. Whomever purchases this coach will certainly have a beauty!
I also appreciate how meticulously maintained the bus is. Immaculate! Of course, like boats it takes a healthy wallet to buy it and keep it that way. 💲💲💲
That coach is the most affordable you can find. No electronic crap on it all manual. You could work on it yourself. I think you could buy a Model 10 shell for 125,000.00 new. Another good coach is Prevost XL if you can find one.
Magic of depreciation. The 12 year old Wanderlodge (1995 model, purchased used in 2007), cost me $120K out the door. List price (when new) was $525K. Used bus conversions (when done well) can be a very good deal. Even if the manufacturer has gone out of business, most of the stuff is standard parts available in the RV or Bus industry. (e.g. Even windshields are available for most coaches -- and the Blue Bird school bus parts were able to provide a replacement tie-rod end for my coach when one was needed.)
That coach is beyond insane I have never seen anything like it ,you're exactly right if it came off the factory floor today it wouldn't look any better! WOW!
@@AZExpert I’m gonna share this with a friend. Her husband is a mechanic and he’s always complaining about the shoddy work he sees and how filthy that some folks bring their cars into him for service. He says, “would they go to the doctors dirty?, gross”. Lol
Extremely well maintained coach. The access panels at the back and sides for access to alternator are unique. That is the cleanest generator space I have ever seen. Granite flooring and custom kitchen were close to flawless. Beautiful floor layout & no signs of roof leaks.

Nice video! Those Eagle Bus was one of the best passenger coaches. I remember riding on an Eagle Bus as an Tour Conductor/Guide in the early 90's. It had an excellent ride quality.

This Video is now over two years old, but that doesn't matter because your reaction to this beautiful work of mechanical genius and it's condition is timeless. I found this video because as an RV'er who is frustrated with prices and lack of quality of new fifthwheels, now considering coverting an older coach bus myself. This style bus/coach pusher with the sloping raised roof profile and aluminum profiled side panels is exactly what I'm looking for. It's a beautiful classic body style. Thank you for sharing!
My dad drove trailways up and down I-5 for 22yrs but in 1986 he was forced to retire by the dr. Cause of a severe heart attack...not while driving a buss thank god.. but the mild heart attack he had about nine months earlier he was coming off either syskious pass or mt.sexton, and had Damn near a full buss, but he managed to get the model 5 he was driving in the tricycle lane as he like to call the e lane on the shoulder and then went and kicked the tires on the buss till it pass and he could get the buss to the next terminal,,any way tail trailways added the model 15 on the west coast my dad was the very first driver of it from portland to Medford Oregon, the Oregonian did a story about the buss and my dad and took a picture of him and a couple regional managers and the terminal manager and was in the first or second page of the newspaper the next day after he got home. The only one I ever got to ride on was some 7 years later and it was in greyhound livery, as they had bought trailways by then....

In that movie there was one scenes that he sneaks out from custom built secret exit that he had on his trailer . That was one coolest features for anybody who had R.V. motorhome., etc at that era . I believe that was designer for this bus where he got his idea from. Yeah 80s 90s was the jewel... LoL 😉

Yeah, I was thinking “Panic Room” too, or maybe a safe. I bet there is more hidden storage spots in that coach. It would have been convenient for a serial killer to have this too. No ones gonna see the tied up person in that basement storage.

I can see why. Now I wouldn't of picked those colors myself in a coach, but that was the era. God only knows I also owned a pink leather dinette. (How could I?!?) Lol
Talk about taking a look back in time. Still beautiful. This was made with love.
That is pure artwork - top to bottom, front to back and side to side. Loved seeing what's possible when enough love is applied!
Couldn't agree more!
So they camped in there own yard! How manys miles 50? They couldnt pay $5 a gal gas, you said the dealer went broke, maybe never sold it! They still sell stero's with remotes. Why dont u buy it?
Things used to be crafted to last a lifetime, and then some. That is something I had all but forgotten, but this beauty reminded me of it.
This may just very well be my favorite conversion video. I loved how the technician brought enthusiasm and passion. And it was actually quite contagious; it made me want to watch every minute of this video.
job well done thank you so much
Wow, thanks!
I had a 72’ and a 83’ model eagle. I absolutely love eagle coach’s and the ride is like no other bus on the road.
That's great to hear, I would have wondered about the ride without air bags.
Better than Provost? Have either of you seen those BOSE seats?
75 mph is as fast as you can go in a Prevost, the ride really deteriorates over 70. Eagle's are the opposite, the faster you go the better it gets. When you were leaning forward you knew you moving.
Drove those Eagles in the 1970s. Nothing rode or handled like and Eagle. Especially running the PA tpke at night with less traffic. Cornering using both lanes passengers didn't even know you were in a curve. Four speed tranny required double clutch shifts. Really fun to drive downshifting on steep grades. Those were the days left lane and hammer down.
@@catliftresearch that’s what Phil is saying right now... drives like a dream and smoother as speed increases... what an awesome coach! Soooo blessed!
Wow
Chad, as a camper and wisher for an RV since I was 9 months old, I am excited to see how joyful you are about this coach. Thanks for the tour!
Awesome! Thank you!
James: "I am not much of a salesman"

😂😂
that's funny, thank you!

@@AZExpert I want that
No doubt!!! I am coveting this awesome 🚎 BUS! He did an amazing job with the tour! His face lighting up with all the gadgets, features, and bunkhouse!😂
Love love love this. It gives me the feel of my parents home they bought in '88, especially the colors and built in vacuum system. This coach is awesome. Thank you.
You're welcome!
I absolutely love your enthusiasm for this wonderful bus. There are just three things that I would change.
1). Upgrade the TVs
2). Upgrade the radio
3). Change the title into my name
And that's all.
I like the last item!
The 'love affair' was clearly displayed and was beautiful. Thank you.
Hey, Thanks for watching! :)
I had to watch this again because it is so beautiful. I just can't believe the condition of this magnificent Beauty!
Someone really loved this bus!
Not even any mice damage! And you did such a great job of presenting this beautiful piece of art. Thank you again James! Regards, Myk
Wow, thank you! That's why I wanted to share it
I am like, show me the engine, show me the engine an BOOM. It's prefect. I own a nice (old) coach and I know I bragged on it before. This is nuts. Mine don't hold a candle. Your impression of this coach is something I never seen before. Incredible
It's a very rare thing to see a clean diesel engine compartment, so of course I have to show that!
@@AZExpert got another question. What is the safest way to run a wire through the body. It’s all steel.
What a great review ! on such a wonderful conversion bus ,
Im sure that one will be gone by tomorrow , it was just a pleasure
listening to your review , thank you so much!
Glad you enjoyed it
The most exquisitely engineered beauty I have ever had the privelege to witness! Thank you ever so much for the unforgetable glimpse of this rare jewel of lovely and meticulous craftmenship. I've never seen anything quite like it before! Amazing!
WOW! You are very welcome
I am impressed with your professionalism sir!! The fact you were concerned 'not' to walk on the carpet and donned your booties, says it all!! Good video. Loved the unit. Wish it were in our drive!!
I appreciate that!
Since I was a child I've said I'd much rather have something older that's quality, than newer junk; whether it be clothing, furniture, an old farmhouse, vehicles etc!!
That is one of the coolest coaches I've ever seen. Thanks for this video!
Glad you enjoyed it!
You did an excellent job showing this magnificent bus conversion. Thank you so much my friend. Keep on doing what you do. Again...thank you! Regards, Myk
Thank you very much!
Super Nice....I personally wouldn't change a thing....it's a time capsule. Someone took a lot of pride in that bus...I can really appreciate that... And your enthusiasm and appreciation of that bus is great to see as well. Great video👍 Too bad Andrew missed out on this one 😆
It was difficult for me to stop praising it, I really do hope not to find problems when I inspect a RV and this was very satisfying!
Craftsmanship and attention in the build quality of the coach are impressive, the care that the coach has received is immaculate/perfectionism.
Right?
I am watching one year after you have posted, for the first time there is some made such a beautiful comprehensive spontaneous unedited presentation which shows your depth of knowledge and love for your work, hats off to you for presenting this beauty
Thank you so much 😀
I think even more impressive, is how your channel has taken off! Keep the content coming my friend! Enjoy watching... that bus is a dream! Cheers!
Thank you very much! I've been enjoying your channel too!
I share your enthusiasm for this coach. Absolutely awesome.
I appreciate that!
I grew up under the hood with my dad from the age of 4 or 5. I'm 56 and female. I completely understand your appreciation for how well that bus was maintained. I've never seen an engine (that had actually been run) look that clean. Are you sure the owner EVER drove the mansion? ☺️
I never met the owner, but I think it was used semi regularly, just for short trips
Happy safe and healthy travels brother.
wow, I am a diesel fitter myself, I can see why your excited, thanks for a great story, good to see there is still pride in ownership, cheers from OZ
Thanks for watching!
Your passion in this video for the RVs at hand is stellar
thank you!
Welcome 😊
Just look how happy he is just sharing this he truly enjoys this bus and I do too . Thanks man sincerely.
Glad you enjoy it!
I really enjoyed you taking me through this superb converted bus, at times it felt like it was the inside of Super Yacht.⛵️
Glad you enjoyed it
I also appreciate how meticulously maintained the bus is. Immaculate! Of course, like boats it takes a healthy wallet to buy it and keep it that way. 💲💲💲
They do require attention for sure.
That coach is the most affordable you can find. No electronic crap on it all manual. You could work on it yourself. I think you could buy a Model 10 shell for 125,000.00 new. Another good coach is Prevost XL if you can find one.
$99 000 IS peanuts....new coaches all run around $1 000 000 and higher
WOW!
that is why I was so excited
Right? Like... that generator! It's really a credit to the owner.
@@AZExpert I’m gonna share this with a friend. Her husband is a mechanic and he’s always complaining about the shoddy work he sees and how filthy that some folks bring their cars into him for service. He says, “would they go to the doctors dirty?, gross”. Lol
A prime example of good craftsmanship over a test of time. Thank you
Extremely well maintained coach. The access panels at the back and sides for access to alternator are unique. That is the cleanest generator space I have ever seen. Granite flooring and custom kitchen were close to flawless. Beautiful floor layout & no signs of roof leaks.
Well said!
OMG! I felt like I was back in the first home in owned in the late 1980’s! That carpet, the valance fabric, even the countertop, I had them all. 😂 What a well loved coach. 😁
It reminds me of when I was starting my life too. It's still seems like the year 2000 was 8 years ago
Wow! Unbelievable who keeps an RV like this! Great to see! Why would you change anything? Priceless in time!
Nice video! Those Eagle Bus was one of the best passenger coaches. I remember riding on an Eagle Bus as an Tour Conductor/Guide in the early 90's. It had an excellent ride quality.
Very cool!
I have never seen anyone smile from start to finish before. Thanks for the video.
thank you. I really made this video because it was so enjoyable when I inspected it.
Your utter cheerfulness and enjoyment is the best thing about this coach.
Thanks for watching!! :)
I was waiting for you to start crying any second. After all it IS beautiful!
thanks
That is an amazing coach! The subtle eagle in the paint is a nice touch too
you notice everything! Thanks!
I was perplexed by the Eagle (decal/sticker) on the frige door though...?
It was a pleasure to watch you express your appreciation for this bus/rv
Thank you, and thanks for watching!
I know I'm late and this video has been out for a while now but I had to comment. Your enthusiasm and appreciation of this beautiful machine was just as wonderful as seeing the coach itself! Thank you so much for sharing. Don't know how I managed to find this video but so glad I did!
Hey! Thanks and welcome
Pride of ownership to the max. Very impressive coach! Thanks for the great tour!
Now that's how one takes care of a Coach! Seeing the remote controls in order got me excited a perfect example of why O.C.D is good.....Drives my wife nuts...lol Thanks for the tour brother awesome!
that was my favorite part and why I made the video. Thank you!
That's beautiful. So wish my Dad was still around, cause that's the kind of bus I'd enjoy. So puts today's coaches to shame. Thanks for sharing.
I understand
That was just a fun tour of a bus I’ll never be in the position to own. But I really enjoyed your presentation. Thank you.
thank you
This is amazing! I can see it gave you thrills to work on this gorgeous lady! She is a beauty!
Thank you so much!
Amazing insight into this very beautiful bus. Best bus layout I have seen. Love the whole set up. Thank you for this. I would take that as it is.
Same here.
I’m mid process on a bus conversion and seeing this 25 year old coach makes me want to completely start over! Thanks for sharing
It's really gorgeous!
Love that ride! Amazing craftsmanship on everything including the paint and finishes.
Couldn't agree more!
Time travel back to the 90's, thanks for sharing
Glad you enjoyed it
To quote Gene Berg "Buy the best and cry once". This is a perfect example.
Beautiful Coach! I love the way you go thru the RV'S. Very straight forward but with a little humor!! Great Job!!
Had to be stored inside most of it's life. Amazing coach !
I think so too!
14:08 Trademark is ULTRASUEDE, a polyester velour. Only (4) fabric mills in the world make it, the highest quality of which is in Japan.
That's a good eye. Thanks!
That's some forensic textile knowledge!
As a mechanic for 40 years. This coach is well thought out. Also a mechanic dream to work on. 👍👍👍
Yes, the service access was very nice too.
Best parts of your videos is your enthusiasm and smile . Good on you!
I try ,Thanks for watching! :)
No wondering about your big smile, this was unique 🤗🇳🇴❤️
Thank you! 😃
You are spot on, this is amazing 👏
I love that classic style, and it looks like a back to the future coach.....
I think so too!
Yeah, I wouldn't change a thing, but might add a couple of items in a way they would blend and not be obtrusive to the overall look.
Beautiful coach. I can see why you were so excited 👍🏼.
Very!
Wow. Finally a guy after my own heart. Thank you for the complete walk through. Amazing build for sure. I would definitely buy this bus.
27:07 CRT monitors are STILL very crisp - IF you feed them a good signal.
These are some of the last good Sony TVs it seems.
it is a beautiful coach. I love the underground bunker.
I do too
This is incredible! Beautiful presentation! Just how unique is that basement space? That has got to be the most awesome thing I have ever seen! Thank you so much! Instant subscriber!
Thanks for showing the beautiful bus, I really like all the gauges and dials enjoy seeing the cockpit more than anything on the coaches side.
What an exciting find! Thank you for sharing that beautiful coach.
Wow I absolutely love how you have to go in I love the mid in tree that is freaking awesome, WOW One of the best laid out buses I have ever seen very unique I absolutely love it
Glad you enjoyed it
10:33 Great place to put the various owners manuals. I have seen them take up (2) 3-ring binders on a vehicle with this many systems.
Thank you. Often they get crammed in the basement and destroyed by water or leaking "stuff"
That “bunkhouse” is where they keep the jewels.
lol
hahah
LoL 🤣 Well, as I recall back in a days ago there were movie called "Lethal weapon" Mel Gibson was starred in. In that movie there was one scenes that he sneaks out from custom built secret exit that he had on his trailer . That was one coolest features for anybody who had R.V. motorhome., etc at that era . I believe that was designer for this bus where he got his idea from. Yeah 80s 90s was the jewel... LoL 😉
I’m having flash backs of the ‘90’s!! Thanks for Sharing that Gem!!
Very Welcome!
Being a young man who had a dad the worked at Blue Bird Wonderlodge back in the 80’s. Then once I got in my 20’s I worked there as well. And I appreciate the craftsmanship and engineering into these machines. That Bus your In there is a piece of art. Thanks for sharing sir.
thank you very much. I have a few subscribers that adore their Blue Birds and will never part with them.
The "bunk house" looks like a safe room.
Yeah, I was thinking “Panic Room” too, or maybe a safe. I bet there is more hidden storage spots in that coach. It would have been convenient for a serial killer to have this too. No ones gonna see the tied up person in that basement storage.
