I had mine renewed (still the old 5 year validity) just months before Covid went global, enlisted for NS, and then ORDed with the current economy, I probably won't be going anywhere anytime soon, might be the first time in my life my passport expires 100% clean and untouched by immigration authorities.

Bibity bobity passport expire how go overseas
Just go to photo shop and pay only $12, you can ask for digital copy for online passport application, so far me and my family didn’t get rejected, process is about 6 weeks and now already collected. Taking passport photo with your own is too troublesome

How about investing in better photo qualifying software at the point of online submission. ;)
No need, all available freeware software can do the job.
The rejection rate at the airport is bigger problem. The supporting Auntie yelled at me to remove my glasses 🤓. Problem however is that the biometric chip in my passport has a record with glasses. Sooo - . Glasses off ? No go. Glasses on ? All good 😊
your glasses is an accessory only and its not part of your facial features. that's the reason why you are required to remove your glasses and present your face to the officer for verification. this is international rules if you read through immigration websites for countries. its all down to the approving officer.
@@victorecholima I am talking about the automated system. Works with glasses and NOT without as it compares the camera image with the stored biometric one in the passport chip 😀
So so grateful for these officers. They managed to salvage my trip due to my lost passport
Mine expired in 2021 Feb. Only renewed it around May of 2022. Currently waiting to receive my passport!

It took about 3 months of waiting but its all good as I’m only travelling in dec
@@isxuanhere so patient. I submitted end April, got in 6 weeks.
I submitted on 7 July (hard copy application form). Ready for collection end of July (approx 3 weeks). However the earliest collection date available at Tampines P O is 30 August. In other words, 3 weeks for it to be ready and 1 month to queue to collect. Fortunately the application went through smoothly without any photo rejection, otherwise....don't know how long more to wait.
