Salute to officers who stand in the middle of the road under the hot sun. Many more risk their life walking in the middle of the road to maintain traffic. Big thank you to them.
As someone who worked in security intelligence field and had 12 hours shifts. Let me tell you, night shifts are no joke. especially with frontline jobs, you cannot cannot slack, like 12 hours, you have to be on the top of your game. and it can be very tiring after a 1-2 years of constantly being on shift. but the good side is that you get tons of off days and it is the best thing in the world how you only get to work 15/16 days a month. We also used to get shift allowance for public holiday duty etc. nonetheless, good episode. loved the content.
Ngl this episode make me more interested about working in ICA in the future...Btw i am Sec 4 and don't know what to do in the future so thanks for this video
This is the slow lane for career progression. There is no way an ICA Commander will reveal anything negative about his own field. Hint: Good wine needs no bush.
Things are tough for both the ICA officers and the public travelling through the Woodlands-JB checkpoints. From the rough stats shared in 3:24, it's a shame that politicians can't put their pride aside and fix this persistent issue. To think that the causeway is a 100 years old now and no major improvements have been carried out for decades. What a shame...
Recently i have to compliment the commute i experience in a weekend. Now very fast cos can scan my passport at Msian customs no need chop. So it's damn faster so it's no longer a nightmare to visit JB by bus on weekends. I also check the time bus 950 came every 5mins from wlds inter. 🎉
Always take the left most lane/counter which is usually the foremost and closest to the exit. If you take the right most lane/counter, you usually always have to give way to ALL the other counters exiting in front of you.
That officer is very informative and engaging. Kudos on his great communication skills. I got curious, and found some vids on the condition of the Causeway during Malaysian MCO lockdown: Vehicles trying to dodge the lockdown: th-cam.com/video/eU750kmaTgw/w-d-xo.html Empty Causeway after lockdown: th-cam.com/video/JYTM3HMeLw4/w-d-xo.html
Was hoping they asked questions on E-gate lanes and use of AI technology, no more passport chopping and interrogation to speed up the custom queues.... 😁
Haha, awesome tips! I legit dk we can't bring KFC in until I get "caught" at the custom. The officer was pointing to the plastic bag and asked "KFC ah? Fried Chicken ah?" and followed by "Alamak, cannot la"...😅I could have avoided that situation...
Actually dont think can see his face often at check point....his rank would be always inside his office monitoring the situations around whole checkpoint
If you see it in another way, you are only having a 1day off. What you doing to do after you wake up at 5pm on your 2nd off..... You have dinner with family and go sleep again.
Since I was small the blue passport until now I'm 55 years old no improvement on the Jam.....the problem is less counter...if there's 1000 or more counter both side open there will be no jam....guarantee....the problem is counter...no other reason of this jam problem....
ICA officer jobs are not easy. They face millions of people a year. If passengers (be it at airport or causeway) are rude, I hope the COMMANDER will back up their staff. I have seen passengers shouting at ICA officer. This shows that the passenger has no respect for authority. No one has the right to shout at another - worse still, someone with authority. ICA must empower their officers to, if they have to, arrest the person for being a public nuisance. Forget about courtesy if the passenger do not have basic courtesy. Commander must always support their staff. If a commander always tell their officers to be courteous and be polite (even if pax is shouting), the morale of the team will be affected. And more ICA officers will quit and you will have a situation of manpower crunch. This is border control - the safety of Singapore lies in the hands of ICA officers. They have to do their job with authority.
I would like to send my appreciation to the commander for keeping our checkpoint efficient and safe

Personally, SG ICA officer attitude really way better than many other countries' custom officers 😂

Not True … Like Our Predatory & Racist SG Government, They Treat Different Races & Nationalities Differently…

Any controls on those (without proper business license) MVPs who transport people in and out from Singapore.? A lot of complaints made against them
Actually dont think can see his face often at check point....his rank would be always inside his office monitoring the situations around whole checkpoint
He changed so many places already still at the checkpoint, not logical

The hosts laughter too loud & very disruptive. Info are inaudible at every end in the bursting of their laughter.
So many never pay fines 😂😂😂
Nice video
I had experience with ethnic Chinese ICA officers who spoke to me in almost perfect Bahasa Melayu, better than me 😂😂
My future job once i hit 50 year old haha. Best part no need to compete with other foreigners as well 😆😆
Malaysia custom officers behave like you owe them money
