I JUST got mine in black in 41mm. prefer this model than the newest one and honestly I fell in love with it! I own Tissot seastar 2000 with green dial to compare, but in very similar price point Longines is much more "luxury" and better in details than his swiss brother Tissot
You have made the right choice, enjoy your watch for many years. I have a similar watch path, i own a Tissot prc 200, i agree that the Longines feels much more premium. Cheers
I always liked the look and value of this watch and when Longines brought out the newer version, which is nice but a little more generic looking, I took the opportunity to grab the outgoing model whilst I still could. Yes, the dial seems busy when seen in photos, but it looks less so in real life, provides balance with the oversized numerals and just works. It's a dressed up tool watch that seems to fit with any occasion and style of dress. When they later replaced the old Conquest (also 300m water resistant)! with the newer version, which, again, seemed to lack the strong character of the older ones, I grabbed one of those also. Quality, design, robustness and value, what's not to like here?
Your comment perfectly captures what makes these watches so special! It’s interesting how sometimes a "busier" dial can feel just right in person-photos rarely do justice to the balance they strike. And i really love the red tip on the second hand that is lacking in the newer version. You’ve made great choices by grabbing them while you could! Thanks for sharing your thoughts
I agree and am most likely buying this older model tomorrow. But I do like the ceramic bezel on the newer one. The aluminum one seems lower quality. What are your thoughts on that?
nice vid mate,,spot on, i also have the aluminium bezel and i prefer the overall look over the latest ceramic version. Although this watch could be so much better it is still one I could reccomend for a daily.
Thank you for your comment, it's my first "luxury" watch and i couldn't be more pleased. I was considering the ceramic bezel variant, but i couldn't justify the extra cost.
Longines is my favourite brand hands down, its functional stylish and value for money. Great history but plays the grey man in the watch world. I have multiple prestige luxury brands and they are of the same quality as the 3 Longines I own. Longines doesn't need to shout look at me like some douchey brands ie Rolex. those who know know.
@ yes makes sense. Just got mine today, the aluminum. Wouldn’t dare risk scratching it. Beautiful watch, feels like a sub, but better because I don’t blow $15k lol
This is the old version of this watch. The newer version has half-links to make adjustment easier. The ceramic bezel looks better and it also has multiple dial colours. It's been around a few years now so why are you reviewing this old version?
I consider this more of a "other" version rather than an old one. I bought it 2 years ago and is still available on the official site and a lot of people prefer this version. Thanks for watching. Cheers
@@timepieceofart Good point - it is still available so fair comment. (I just like the newer version more - I have it with the grey dial) - however, Longines make class watches.
The font selection and size is perfection and is the secret to the beautly of this watch.
Even I own a hydroconquest and I absolutely love it
Just got one on your recommendation, green dial, for my son’s 18th birthday - and he is a fussy , PADI qualified diver.❤
Happy to hear that, i hope your son enjoys his new watch for many years to come🙏🏻
Hands down. This watch is where both form and function meet. Where utility and elegance meet.

@@timepieceofart Thanks! Great video BTW.

Spot on couldnt say it better
Especially like the GMTs fairly comparable to Rolex for fraction of the price
Think the metal bezel can be swapped for the new ceramic?
I had that thought also, but i wouldn't risk it damaging the current bezel insert 😀

The "new" version is also around 370€ more expensive, I dont know if a ceramic bezel improvement is worth that price.
I had one for a year but sold it for a Pelagos. That crown guard i can't stand, plus the cheap clasp is out of date these days.
Good choice, I've had my eye on the blue dial Pelagos for a while now just a bit too pricy still for me
👍
No lume on seconds...
Yes, only the red tip, that gives a character to the overall look, without added functionality:)
Divers don't cut their air supplies down to the second, Ssooooooo its a little uninformed to say it needs it
The lug to lug is too much
It might look big in same wrists, but it got that tool watch look
