Since you asked for the link. Both Odell complete concrete and Alex Zamora designs (both on TH-cam) are doing the same level of work if not more as far as design aspects go. Odell does a lot of colored concrete with powder release agents for the antiquing look while staying very humble about it. I’ve always said your work is clean and nice but not at the level of your cockiness. There are dozens of concrete companies here in SoCal that are doing very high end work that makes this look entry level when it comes to design and eye appeal.
Odell works in the same areas they both do great work. You can watch either channel and enjoy the work, and also cringe at some of the decisions their customers put them through.
T Michael I said they are doing the same level work as him and they are. If not more in the design and eye appeal which they are. A true concrete guy would know that cutting straight joints in all grey concrete is fundamental in nice concrete and west coast clearly has that down. The basics. But the concrete crews using multi color stamps and finish’s shows your true knowledge and talent in the business.

I'm not the best in poured concrete but listening to your narration about watching instructional videos a person can learn a lot but the person will learn more in actually getting out there and doing it, 'hands on'. I've found watching your videos to be educational, if someone is interested in doing poured concrete, your videos can be very helpful. I've done poured walls in Missouri, carrying forms up and down wet clay hills, slippery as can be, you wind up hurting in places you never knew you had, lol. I just wanted to say, I really enjoy watching your videos, they are very educational. Thank's again for sharing. Whether it means anything, I'm going to subscribe to your channel, I've left a thumbs up, and a click on the bell.
I don't know why, but I do love watching your videos! The process and the advise, I got a very light experience in construction. In this way I'm learning more.
I'm a finisher/laborer on a small crew. Your guys' work is fantastic. Alot of attention to detail. The crosses where the joints meet look clean and straight. It shows that you try to put out your best possible finished product. Great work. How are you liking that long joint cutter? My crew tried one for the first time last year and loved it. Much faster and easier than cutting with a 14" jointer. Lol
Love it Bro. Your finished product backs the attitude, arrogance and CONFIDENCE of your work in the videos you post. Others should be intimidated by the quality your crew produces. If you want tunes, simply play your stereo when you are watching The Concrete Magic show!
I've watched a few of your videos & am amazed at the amount of hand work goes into some of these limited access situations (getting that Bobcat back there was impressive). Just moving all that dirt you generated by wheelbarrow to a bobtail is so labor intensive. Do you bid it T & M? No screed hooks on stakes for those long expanses. How do you maintain the elevation for drainage?
