My fav’s were the red transferware sugar bowl and the little metal toothpick holder. I really love how you styled your new plate holder piece on your dining table. 😍
My grandparents had the Grace picture in their dining room when I was growing up. Grandpa was a Lutheran pastor. I sure wish I had that picture today. It would find a place in my home. Thanks for the beautiful memory!
I’ve refreshed stained lampshades by wrapping vintage tatted dresser scarves around them. I thread narrow ribbon through one of the long sides and gather the fabric as though it were a full skirt. With the gathered edge of the scarf at the top of shade, pull the ribbon taut and tie in a bow. It will hang beautifully. If you have a staff of vintage linens, as many of us do, free one a king lampshade.

I'm always jealous watching these thrifting videos on TH-cam where their goodwills are so neat and tidy. Every goodwill in my part of NC throws all the linens in a big pile on a table. It's a mess and I don't even look for anything there. Wish they would hang their linens!

I need to start going back to Goodwill haven't been since winter 2020. I need nothing but would have grabbed the dog figurines. I have a small collection. One is wearing a Santa hat and I couldn't find it when I decorated. Hope I just overlooked it.
I like the lamps. The shades are nice. You could just recover them pretty easily. I would've had to get the rectangular silverplate casserole holder. They look really nice with old books lined up in them.
Always fun to see what you haul and how you style it. What about recovering the lampshades with some pretty fabric and ribbon or lace edge? The bases are beautiful!

OMGGGG I have been on the hunt for the Grace print! To know it was sitting in a Goodwill close to me for $6 , kills me :( Glad you got it! I've seen some in stores for $75.
For the lamp shades that you were afraid to wash, another girl bought some and put them in the tub and scrubbed them with a brush and dawn dish soap and air dried outside and they were fine. If you like yours but your going to buy some new ones anyway, you have nothing to lose to try to wash them...Hope it all works out! All the best!

I’m not crafty enough for that, I would definitely ruin them! Lol. And yes they use Roman numerals so people can’t change the stickers.
The sooner you get on the list for a booth , well you know the rest. Sign on to a few lists. Paint the trim on the shades or edge with fabric

Can someone explain the markings on the bottom of all of those items at the Goodwill? I know it's not the price but I can't make any sense of it.
It’s Roman numerals and it’s how they keep people from taking stickers off other items and changing prices. They have a special code! Lol

The old man praying can be bought new. I googled it. Named "Grace". But an old one is what most people want. Good luck finding it.
Why does everything have the black number marks on the bottom I've never seen that at a thrift store unless they're actually pricing it with a wax pen
Because people try to change the stickers so they use Roman numerals to know the price and also the stickers fall off a lot.
