Anon, did you know that 1 in 5 babies are taken from their mothers by court order in divorce?
I believe mothers should win these cases every time.
We live in the 21st century for God's sake.
There is no place for sexism towards women.

Don't worry, she will quickly find replacement for him a better father. One will be a wallet for her schools and mothers meals, another will be a vibrator on the legs for mom, 3rd will be a stepdad for her. She is on that path. People in that society are well replaceable, that what this daughter learn from her family.

Double binds or ,,lose-lose situation" is a common manipulation tactic used by usually narcissitic individuals to put targets in places where the target cannot win. The goal is to put the target (depending what the individual wants) either: into a fetchquest, state of learned helplessness, emotinal immobilization, gaslighting

That is why certain women get away with things like this (i know there are some good single moms out there but seriously it's 1-6 women that have children that are going to be angels). Most men will never recover financially, socially in terms of physical and mental health. The only logical choice is not to play. And missing your kids hurt to the bone. Left my mom, then she got him arrested, then it was back-and-forth. I was the oldest trying to keep it together for my younger sisters. Both parents had huge flaws. But I love them both. And I respect that my dad is still in our lives and has become a better man. But my relationship with them all is fragmented. At the end of the day, my father DID mess up by putting his hands on her. It really hurts, there’s things I can’t tell either because the relationship at least feels like it isn’t there from the turmoil. And while I know they love me, I wish I had that unwavering feeling of being able to go to them for anything at any time.

Generations of girls (not women) have been told to believe four things:
      1) that they should want a 'perfect man'.
      2) that they deserve this 'perfect man'.
      3) that this 'perfect man' is one who makes enough dough to give her a luxurious consumerist lifestyle while simultaneously having all the time in the world for her, while being very fit & witty & talented and supporting her in everything.
      4) that if a man is not 'perfect', then he is faulty and unworthy because he isn't trying hard enough. "Do better."

He treats me like his child, but I can never feel like we have a real bond. My mom wasn't with me too when I was child always because of work. Now, when she shows affection, I feel weird and uncomfortable. I truly understand that mom worked for us, but I hate how I'm feeling this way, it's like I'm selfish.
I have accepted the things from the past, but I still wonder what would happen if I grew up in a safe environment. Would I be comfortable seeing my friends casually talking to their family? I don't know, but I'm sure I would. I became independent in such a young age.

I can remember being in kindergarten, when they'd have the daddy daughter events and I felt so left out. My grandfather would offer to take me but it was not the same. Why didn't I get a dad? Did I not deserve him? I didn't quite understand at that age. I often pictured my father to be a tall man in a suit and tie who conducted business meetings and was simply away at the time. No one told me how growing up without him would affect me. In second grade I had a breakdown in class because it hit me he was never coming to see me. I yearned for that love- and wound up finding it in all the wrong places and getting abused as I got older. I made my way through school hoping that one day I'd meet him and hopefully, just maybe, he'd be proud of me. Waiting for that "Dad?" moment like at the end of this video. Hoping that on some off chance he'd find me. That he'd be different. That he'd want to look out for me. But as I'm graduating from highschool and he won't be at my graduation, I see how he hasn't changed. He couldn't give up his drugs or alcohol for his daughter. He couldn't get a job. And it hurts. But I know he still has love for me. He knows I'm out there- he knows that I have a love for him. And I guess that's enough to call him my dad. Thanks for the video, really shows the importance of a father. Men, be there for your children as much as you can. Fathers, never stop being a dad.

Bro this hits hard even though it's just a animation let me explain:
When i was 8 years old problems in the house we're starting to rise and honestly it was very traumatic to me see how My father are discuting each other while my father had to go to work and return to Home the money My father gives to My Mother instead of using it for me she uses it for her own use and not for me and i remember how My father and i returned From work to house at very late night and i Will never forget what i saw that My Mother was doing to My Father he opened the house door and saluted to My Mother for then she grab him from it's shirt and started yelling to him and punching him i Will never forget what i saw that day and still to this day My father tries to be relaxed with My Mother and it got the point where i have to choose to which live and it's a dilemma for me because i love both of them and it Will hurt me if i decided with who to live but the most appropiate thing would be live with My father
I hope You don't get the same experience that i had and stay safe whoever is Reading This thanks for Reading My life and here in the Comments You can tell me to who to choose for live i Say My Father but it's up to You Guys

I have a similar story. My parents divorced when I was 4 years old, and every year I moved away from my father. I have moved 3 times. At first I moved to another house with my father and mother, then I started living with my mother (it was possible to get to my father in an hour) and now, when I have to FLY by plane for an hour and a half. And it just so happened that I am Russian, and my father is on the other side of the country. There are no handcuffs and people, but I have not seen my father for 9 months or more. And the problem is that I have been constantly studying for these 9 months. (Yes, there are spring, winter, autumn holidays, but they last less than a week).Almost every day I have disputes, conflicts over trifles, at a time when my father and I understand a common language perfectly. If your parents are not divorced, or if you see them at least once a month, I envy you.

This happened to a buddy of mine, dude watched his kid in the parking lot when he got divorced. I always saw his car, and gave him a subtle thumbs up when we passed, just to let him know his son was doing well. We'd often talk over the phone, mostly about his son, how his grades are, and if he has any new friends.
I always recorded the sports events for him, put them on flashdrives, and left them in secret spots, just so he could watch his son play the games. I was honest with my friend, about me recording the games for his father, and every game, when it ended, he asked me to record a message to his father. It was usually the same speal 'I miss you, i'm doing well, I know this wasn't your choice, and I don't blame you, thank you for watching the game, and when I'm 18 I'll come find you.'
I probably broke the law somewhere, maybe the father did too, but knowing my buddy could still talk to his dad, at least through me meant a lot when they met up when he finally hit 18. It's like a day didn't go by, they knew each other, what they were doing, and how it was going.

I do like how this guy isn’t afraid to tackle topics in such a casual way, I feel like making satire is a good way of seeing a situation. Is it propaganda? Maybe but the goal isn’t to fully sway opinions is it? It’s merely to start the conversation with something which makes you think. Also the pinned comment is a really good use of satire, showing how strange it is to say “there’s no place for sexism in the 21st century” and then also saying mothers should win 100% of the time, since it can be a botched thought process since language is limited and our brains think in an undiscovered language, at least that’s what I personally believe since it makes the most sense to me. As a sendoff I want to tell the one or two people who read this, that it’s important to care for the people around you to give them a shoulder to lean on, cause if we can’t do that, we end up making tragedies out of Shakespeare. Let’s just say it hits close to home, all my immediate family is alive while I’m posting this comment, and I think they’re all doing well, but if someone admits to you about something which scares you, you’ve gotta tone down your voice and support them so they don’t end up carrying it out.

My dad fought tooth and nail for my custody over my mom, she kept me out of school for a year and missed out on a whole grade, she forced me to keep quiet about it and to lie to my dad. From when I was 5, to when I was about 11. 6 Years it took him to fight for my custody. Fuck the court for siding with my mom under the premise that, "A father can't take care of a child." I'm now 22 years old, and I couldn't have been where I am without my dad, I love him.

I hate it when people jokingly spits out the "your dad left you" insult like it wont harm anyone..as a guy who grew up without a dad nor mom its painfull..even if im already past it i still cant stop blaming them for neglecting me like that they just simply divorced and i just lived with my uncle and grandma..my uncle was great he would do everything he could to provide me with the stuff i need but i never got any help for my assigments, mental health or anything from him and my grandpa wasnt exactly a father figure neither he wasnt on the best of terms with my other uncle and so the house was always chaotic and for a child to experience all these things and never be able to do anything about it just traumatised me. i wish i hadnt been borned i wish i was in a different family..at a very young age me and my brother was basically the care taker of the house while taking care of our school responsibilities..the people at that house was absolutely disgusting..they were all pridefull except for my brother and especially my grandpa..he had no dignity at all he would ask for money from my uncles friend when they were having a chat and he even stole from my friend when my friend was staying over at our house cause we were having a graduation ceremony and my friends house was far away cause they just recently moved. i absolutely despised them for being old yet still unable to take care of themselves and the house. But i needed them too so i never told them about my problems with them and i never got to take care of my mental health. This would greatly impact me on my high school years as my social skills was slowly decreasing and my grades too for lack of participation. I never exactly went through a depressed state or so i think? I just decided to put up with it until i got to move out. After that i started going to therapy and yeah. I didnt wanna search for my parents since im not exactly one to be mad at something that happened years ago. I wish they could have atleast seen or heard of what i went through cause of their negligence though. I never went back for them but my brother visits once in a while and i would sometimes visit my grandma since she was the only one who taught me manners.

I remember driving a friend of mine to see his daughter for the first time as a favor. He's usually a very optimistic and funny guy, but as soon as he returned after maybe only 30 minutes of playtime, he broke down at about a mile away after leaving her house.
It was disturbing to see a man like himself break down the way he did, I remember it like yesterday.

wow this made me cry. When I was 10 years old my parents divorced, he went to another city, I could only see him once a month for 5 hours. My mother got a boyfriend who treats me and my younger brother badly.
