Drivers Only is the suspension the same as older civic hatchback 2017?
@Drivers Only, I dunno man. Some of us really want to love the new 2020 Hatchback. But the thing that prevented many of us from buying one was those gaping holes on the front and back. And to add those crossbars for 2020 was the best thing they could come up with as a solution? In fact it looks even 'busier' now and honestly an eyesore to look at. =(

I own a manual hatchback its pretty good then I add the a extra 20 HP with the hondata FLASHPRO, literary its like having a SI hatchback.
And no one will buy the typeR then
@@donaldzuramp4404 having a GTI doesn't stop people from buying the Golf R. It's totally a different class and the delta between the Si and Type R is too vast for the body type availability to affect sales of the CTR.

@@optimuscunt7746 I would say get the Sport trim because it has the same engine. Same performance, with a little less tech for $7,000 less so.. then buy yourself a set of snow tires if you need them with the extra cash

I have a 2019, I love it with exception of the touchscreen, It looks the same software on the 2020. Its very laggy and needed to be updated. Also Auto Brights are good for head on cars but blinds people from behind.
oh and back up camera resolution is garbage

I agree! However, the Sport is a really nice hatch.
you forgot the other changes. the 2020 model now has push button start and smart key fob compared to the 2019 model which has a physical key and the ignition switch. overall, nice review!

Car and driver magazine tested both the 174 hp CVT and the 6 speed Si, and the CVT was faster to 120 mph, though the Si had the higher top speed!
A hot hatch needs an excellent transmission. I'm wondering how the 6M of Civic Hatch Sport will transform your view of this hot hatch. Thanks for great reviews!
I found the paddle-shifting to be pretty enjoyable on the hatch but yes I want to see how much more life a 6 speed adds to it.

They need to give civic 201hp and si 250hp. It's sad to see an elantra gt sport have 201 hp while honda calls these "hot hatches"
You can easily Ktune the honda to 230 hp

Yup if you wanne to keep your car as long as possible stay away from that engine, that have small engine withy turbo with GDI just stay away

Six speed manual trans. Stick , I don't have the car yet, living in Canada it takes a while to get it from England. I will let you know, but I know I will not be disappointed. I test drove one, from my opinion the gear ratio is a lot smoother then my 2003 Toyota Celica.

Is there as much room in the back seat that there is in the SI sedan?
Yes it's very spacious in the back seat of the sedan.

@@t.k.morris yes it is I have a Sport Touring Hatch and the back Seats are pretty much the same as the Sedan
I have an si. But I hate the sedan and coupe. We need an si hatch. But we will never get one. The type r is great, but not at 5.0 apr and 10k markup
Next review is a Accord Sport 2.0T with a 6spd...wait for it. :).

@@eliassanchez7106 no, the limited slip, the si suspension, adaptive dampers, different turbo, the non si drives really different. Believe me if that were the case, I'd have bought a hatch, but the si just had what I needed. With out limited slip it kinda kills it for me.
@@DriversOnly I drove the Accord sport 2.0t manual. It was ok... Too soft feeling. I chose the si over it. I wanted Honda reliability and 4 doors. I actually went to the dealer to buy the accord.... I just was not a fan... If they put an lsd in it.... And a little stiffer suspension tuning. I would have bought it. It was nice... But it wasn't as fun as the si... The si is a bargain... Its no dream car... But for what you get... The price is kinda unbeatable.

Sooo guys and gals I just bought this a week ago. Its Gray and in Ohio btw. Umm when should I use the sport mode on this. I never have yet. BUTTT I LOVE THIS CARRRRRRRRRRRRR ITS my Dream car soo I'm on cloud nine right now and yes I mean yes I feel like Tim Allen from home imprevement when its goes fast. I have those vibes racing threw me lol.
Oh the seats are awesome like he said when i go fast it jolts me back lol and its soooo awesome and yes first sport car and im like People get the f................ out of my way lol

Honda is scared of a 6spd manual Hatch 🐣 Si. A Civic Hatch Si & an Accord Hatch Si is what needs to happen, yet they continue with sedans and coupes. I have a 2019 CiVic Hatch Sport, 6spd manual with silver TSW mesh wheels, so I’m kinda’ aware of the untapped potential 😃. A hatchback is even more real world than an SUV, if you ask me 🤷🏽♂️

Yup Turbo engine in this sport edition.
Even the 2017 has it.
@@marko-ino in america, the only version that has turbo is ex and above. Sport sedan, coupe or hatch never had turbo. It has touch screen, bigger wheels and the little spoiler

I recently got the 2019 and call me crazy but I think I prefer it over the 2020😂the touch screen is nice though, no idea why they didn’t put it in the 2019.

Those 3 things in your bad list are not cons. It does have cons. Bad blind spots/visibility, questionable engine reliability.
Infotainment system looks same for me compare to 2018 civic sedan and basically nothing changed in last 3 years man. Only hatchback is different part

Damn kinda regretting my 2018 ex hatch right now. This is the trim i definitely would have gotten had it been available two years ago. the 2018 sports trim was just to basic and didnt have all the tech this one has. =(

2020 brought a lot of features like honda sensing and exterior changes. So it depends on if you care about those things.

The cvt on this car is trash. 6spd manual is the only way to go.
6 spd is always better but the CVT performed pretty good I got to say, especially with the paddle shifters. The simulated shifts were on point.
Realistically do you think this car is a reliable car?

don't buy the freaking civic!!!!!! plastic everywhere. RATTLE is your friend. I get 40 mpg on my si but I hate the rattling noise so bad!
