- Everlane isn't as ethical or sustainable as many people think. In this video, I’ll be evaluating Everlane’s ethics and sustainability, and sharing why I’ve come to this conclusion. To be clear, I’m not trying to cancel Everlane - I’ll be sharing both good and bad things, as I want potential customers to see the whole picture.

The pants I’ve purchased from them have, without exception, fallen apart within a couple of washes. So not worth it.
glad you are giving an insight! I've been trying to be more sustainable in the past few years - that usually meant I bought second hand on ebay. But It's so difficult to figure out what is actually sustainable!! I obviously can't trust companies' website, and when I google is x company sustainable some websites say yes others say no. it should be criminal to state you are sustainable when you aren't!! I'm sure in the future this will change
I just bought my first Everlane piece… I think it’s sketchy that they don’t let you write a review right away. I heard that they will send you a link after a certain period of time (probably after the return window has closed?) which feels like manipulation of review data. That, coupled with the info you’ve shared, means I won’t buy from them again.

Thank you for this! I just started looking into ethical and sustainable clothing brands because even though I’m a college student with Nike and other brands, I wanna start wearing clothes with a purpose and meaning. I was actually going to buy some products from Everlane(their products are so cute🥺) but unfortunately they aren’t as sustainable and ethical as I thought them to be so this helped a lot. Could you cover more ethical and sustainable clothing brands as well ?
Not a lot of people are taking about this, so it’s nice to see one more person “exposing” Everlane!

It’s hard to know if fair trade is really fair, if green products are really as environmentally friendly as they claim, if factories are safe etc.....
They recently did a round of TH-cam sponsorships - all with smaller channels and white creators, who sometimes mention sustainability but aren't like really hard core about it.....I have to assume they selected these specific creators knowing that they wouldn't be aware of the recent controversies that have come to light....
Yeah, I feel like they're very strategic about their partnerships... This makes me feel like they know exactly what they're doing, which makes me upset since they still have yet to take responsibility.
@@imperfectidealist totally. They know that their core demographic is people who want to feel good about sustainability but don't think to hard or do too much work about it.

Their production scale is no where close to sustainable... and it’s getting worse and worse
$58.00 is really not expensive for a pair of sneakers. Is it just me?
It's funny how you ask for certifications for every piece of information from Everlane. But for bad points, your arguments are based on: a gg document created by a former employee, an anonymous union committee member.
Also, sales go up 32% does not 100% sure the profit increases.
Size is not inclusive enough? Only extra large? If you need more than an extra large, purchase a pair of running shoes first. That 58$ pair is only a few burgers away
