Tāmaki Makaurau Auckland has an amazing dining scene- one that suits all budgets. In this 2 part series we take you behind the scenes and into the kitchens of 6 restaurants which offer bang for your buck and a dining experience which is great value given the quality of food, service and atmosphere. These are some of our favourite restaurants- ones we return to time and time again for their great food, vibe and service.

Ruakaka kingfish, whipped avocado, pickled radish, yuzus ponzu dressing, roasted laver
KFC- Korean Fried Cauliflower, spicy gochujang glaze, roasted, sesame seeds
Steamed Nikuman sticky pork hock buns, Japanese black vinegar, chilli jam
Slow cooked Coastal lamb shoulder, red chilli + Sichuan sauce, coriander + mint
Rice + charred broccolini, sesame dressing, roasted peanuts, coriander, togarashi
Beasty soft serve

Another great episode team. I can absolutely vouch for Hello Beasty, so lucky I had the chance to experience them while I was back home, def gives a lot of Melb restaurants a run for their money (*cough cough chin chin cough*), incredible food with passion and love and made by people that care about what they plate up. So many more places to try now when I'm back home in a few months.
So happy you got to experience it when you were over here mate! I was wondering about Chin Chin because we have the cookbook and I was flicking through it the other day. Have u guys done a series on all you can eat places? I have been to quite a few but nothing that really stands out, although you always leave with a full belly and the price is always fair between 30 and 40 dollars i wouldn't mind paying more for more of a unique menu as opposed to the usual store bought looking deserts and stuff, i love your guys content thanks

I want a world where Balinese food is as easily accessible as Chinese or Indian. So many unique, fragrant flavours! Not even we Aussies have tapped into it as much as we should given our proximity to Indonesia
