We’re taking you on a round the world food tour in Panmure, one of our favourite suburbs for eating in Tāmaki Makaurau Auckland, Aotearoa New Zealand’s biggest city. Over the next few weeks we’ll be exploring Panmure’s food gems and showcasing the range of cuisines that can be experienced in this community.
In this video we take you behind the scenes of New Zealand’s hottest fried chicken at Peach’s Hot Chicken. Nashville hot chicken prepared using an old secret family recipe with a spice level that promises a religious experience. We share a local stalwart, Master Chinese Restaurant that’s been a Panmure favourite for nearly 20 years, known for their Cantonese roast meats and our tastebuds travel to the South of India via Spiceland Restaurant when we discover a kari dosai- a rare snack from one of India’s most famous food cities. We’re hunting down Auckland’s best eats, hit subscribe and get ready for some mouthwatering food.

Grew up in Panmure. Still go back often. But never considered eating at any of the places until I watched your awesome videos that made me hungry watching them 😁😊😁😋 @Thomas&Sheena you've inspired me to try all the places in your videos. *Prince’s Hot Chicken* - When we visited Nashville the first place we hit was Prince’s, the original Nashville hot chicken joint. I got the mild. 😆

You, Sheena and I respect iconic places especially if it’s the original or current oldest so Prince’s was a must visit. I love that all the hot chicken joints in Nashville openly give thanks to Prince’s...in interviews, print and even on their menus. So yes, fun visit and the mild hit the spot. That said, I had hot chicken at another resto in N’ville and it was just as tasty. 👍
definitely my favourite fried chicken restaurant in the entire Auckland, please try their chicken waffle next time, it is the best item on their menu in my humble opinion.

I've watched many videos and movies to know that the South States in the US do THE best fried chicken. And then I started watching Korean programmes - the Koreans are THE BEST not only in food but fried chicken, but food in general. I'm keen to give this Peaches place a go. And Masters Chinese is an old time favorite spot, no longer living in the neighborhood so haven't been but definitely miss it.

Tried this last weekend.. ordered the Holey cluck chicken.. was awesome and certainly not as spicy as expected - very easy to eat. But then i am use to eating asian spicy dishes like spicy beef noodles and spicy ramen. Definitly recommend this place to anyone!!!

Omg that all looks so good. Meat and rice is one of my favorite budget standards. Your both very brave to have tried the Holy Cluck chicken but Sheena using her fingers with all that spice is dangerous territory, respect girlfruend😁. Thomas made me laugh because his words were exactly the same as some worker mates of mine trying the Buffalo Wings i cooked on the weber in a ghost pepper baste. They were also fiery. Loving your NZ food adventures x

@@ChasingaPlate depends how many people i'm with. if i'm just going for lunch on my own i'll get the bbq and roast pork on rice. If i'm going with friends i'll get some of the bbq meats and also the salted and spicy prawns, chicken with seasonal vegetables and pork and vegetable fried noodles. Sometimes the sizzling ginger and onion beef is good too.
