I live in a tiny, backwoods town in the deep South, and even the 'ethnic' food (Chinese and Mexican) has been dumbed down to suit the pedestrian palates of the locals. *sigh* Ordinarily, I'm thrilled to tag along on your travels, but tonight, I'm just JEALOUS! To know that you have such exotic and delicious foods in your hometown sure shows where you got the impetus to travel, to taste the originals of what you get at home. Still, jealousy aside, it was great to get a behind the scenes look at the gorgeous foods being created. Loved the video!

The city’s food scene has changed a lot since we left 10 years ago- it’s absolutely awesome now and will continue to get better I reckon. You’re so right- coming from such a multi-cultural city has very much influenced our love of travel and eating different foods 😍 Such a shame your local restaurants dumb down the traditional favours- there is still a lot of that here but it exists side by side with the more traditional spots. Very nice places, looks delicious! If you ever make it to Brisvegas, you may like the plethora of food in the southern suburbs and Logan, which are very diverse and rich with cultures too. Auckland is a lovely city, I was lucky to visit in 2013.

*_Orion_* - Japanese draft beer with Nepali momo in New Zealand. Doesn't get more diverse than that! *_momo 3 way_* - Sampling the different meats and preparations was perfect. My kind of lunch although 30 momo would be a challenge! *_It's Java_* - Really nice of them to comp the food. 👍 Wish Thomas would have chimed in on the perkedel for a KFC reference. 😉 *_sandos_* - Wow! Both look amazing. Not authentic in appearance but that may be the best looking katsu sando I've ever seen! *_Excellent episode, guys!_* Like Fat Bastard and Best Cafe I actually would have enjoyed three separate 10-15 minute videos on these places.

KFC 😀👍 Listing the ingredients and describing the flavors are vital. Always need that. However when a food item is reminiscent of something we may know or when a dish evokes a particular memory, that added description and anecdote really stand out. I appreciated that it was KFC mashed potatoes because some food travelers try so hard to be above fast or chain that they would never mention KFC. And I love that you love ketchup on mince pies. Many faux foodie Americans will never admit that they use ketchup even though they love it. And the Big Mac reference in this video is yet another example of you guys keeping it real. Sure. McDonald's is not a place I'd recommend to travelers visiting the U.S. but actually if you've never had one, why not? It's cheap, fast and a classic. So yes, a special sauce, cheese, pickles, onion beef burger is certainly Big Mac-ish. Great reference. Sooo, that's a long comment on why I loved/remember the begedil KFC comparison. 😂

Just cant say nono to a Momo!! All 3 places served up bangin Eats. You really could have been back in Indonesia looking at the dishes served up at Its Java🍚🍜. Loved the little Tepanyaki inspired grilling as Josh made the Sandos at Young George. It just has to drip, make a mess and end up on your face to be a good burger style Sando and this one nailed it. 🥪🍗🍔. Yum Yum and Yum 👍

*_momo 3 way_* - Sampling the different meats and preparations was perfect. My kind of lunch although 30 momo would be a challenge!
*_It's Java_* - Really nice of them to comp the food. 👍 Wish Thomas would have chimed in on the perkedel for a KFC reference. 😉
*_sandos_* - Wow! Both look amazing. Not authentic in appearance but that may be the best looking katsu sando I've ever seen!
*_Excellent episode, guys!_* Like Fat Bastard and Best Cafe I actually would have enjoyed three separate 10-15 minute videos on these places.

KFC 😀👍 Listing the ingredients and describing the flavors are vital. Always need that. However when a food item is reminiscent of something we may know or when a dish evokes a particular memory, that added description and anecdote really stand out. I appreciated that it was KFC mashed potatoes because some food travelers try so hard to be above fast or chain that they would never mention KFC. And I love that you love ketchup on mince pies. Many faux foodie Americans will never admit that they use ketchup even though they love it. And the Big Mac reference in this video is yet another example of you guys keeping it real. Sure. McDonald's is not a place I'd recommend to travelers visiting the U.S. but actually if you've never had one, why not? It's cheap, fast and a classic. So yes, a special sauce, cheese, pickles, onion beef burger is certainly Big Mac-ish. Great reference. Sooo, that's a long comment on why I loved/remember the begedil KFC comparison. 😂

Just cant say nono to a Momo!! All 3 places served up bangin Eats. You really could have been back in Indonesia looking at the dishes served up at Its Java🍚🍜. Loved the little Tepanyaki inspired grilling as Josh made the Sandos at Young George. It just has to drip, make a mess and end up on your face to be a good burger style Sando and this one nailed it. 🥪🍗🍔. Yum Yum and Yum 👍
