And also they got even more involved because we had many suicide and car bombers coming from syria to shia areas. Why would they stay in lebanon and watch how they are killing our people?

      @@shanzeyrashid654 during the Arab Spring, US/West and their Gulf allies weaponized protests in Syria by funding/supporting certain armed factions against the govt. Those factions tend to see fighting Assad as jihad and were joined by experienced foreign fighters whose entry to Syria was facilitated by Turkey via its border. Over time, membership of these groups, Al Qaeda's Syria branch, and FSA, often crossed over and many ended up swearing allegiance to ISIS when it formed. All the while, the Assad gov and its allies have been fighting these ppl.

      The dominating powers around the world (US and its major allies) have created a political "platform" that simply justifies any act of war or misconduct in the name of "democracy" and "fighting evil." Doing so serves both economic and political interests. By antagonizing countries with different approaches to politics and economy (trade for example), they pose them as a threat to world "peace" and "democracy", and demand their allies buy arms from them to defend themselves from what they consider to be "evil" states. And when they do otherwise, buy arms from 2nd world states for instance, they impose sanctions on them (look at American sanctions on Turkey for buying Russian weapons, or the sanctions on Iran following the 1979 Iranian revolution)

    It must be difficult to get so many things wrong in such a short clip but well done, you managed it. First of all, Hezbollah came about because of occupation - if there were no occupation, it's highly unlikely that Hezbollah would have been created. 2006 didn't have many civilian deaths on both sides, it had over a 1000 Lebanese dead and thousands injured. There was a a handful of Israelis killed but comparable numbers of military casualties, quite an achievement considering the occupation is funded by the very deep pockets of the US and supplied with the latest technological weapons - either by fair means or foul (Jonathan Pollard).
    Unlike the clear pro Israeli bias by the participants in this clip, I'm neither a member of Hezbollah or involved in the organisation. DW News should be challenged under trade description laws.

As a Nigerian some of our freedom fighters where referred to as terrorist at one time.. today after independence.. they are national heroes. The continued presence of European and American aggression is the Middle East is one of the reason for resistance like this.There is no fire without smoke. If someone is aggressive it is actually a response to something.It’s easy to label someone a terrorist. the narrator said the 2006 war caused many civilian casualties - on both sides. I guess it's ok to be biased towards a group you've (relatively) recently tried to annihilate.

    Objectively, do you think Beirut port/city reconstruction was offered as extra incentive for Iran to seal their China deal as an expansion for their belt road? (Given Macron’s anxious chivalry/ rally/ Bn $ Gobin hydrogen plants/ european plans/ renault / sudden Netanyahu friendship/ sudden peace deals with powerful Arab sunni nations)
    is this the last draw for the west to flex and behead Iran/ Hezbollah?

      UK-US Imperialism (Natural Ressources & geopolitical dominance)
      Israeli Imperialism
      Collaboration of Middle-Eastern Elites

    They could have thwarted the attack and save us marines' lives
    With friends like these... 😂

      @@danielcarvalho1453 Yeah, & they got punished for that.. But they didn't form a terrorist group to hit back. instead they concentrated on business and prospered & created a name in World

    • @danielcarvalho1453
      @danielcarvalho1453 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Imtiyaz Ali japan got the opportunity to prosper because they didn't have constant wars on their soil. after ww2 they hardly participated in any wars at all. they didn't need protection since no one was strong enough to defeat them. this is not the case for lebanon. lebanon is not a superpower and has been through constant wars and occupations with little room to open successful international corporations like the japanese could after ww2

    The ISRAELI soldiers fear HEZBOLLAH. I watched an interview of IDF soldiers following the ISRAELIS attempt to enter Lebanon in 06 but were stopped cold by HEZ in the Khyber pass. The IDF soldiers were talking about how fierce the HEZBOLLAH fighters were.

    This is why they are powerful in the Levant and Middle East in general. They are not purely a military organization. They have a welfare state, media and political structure. They also have support in Lebanon. And if reports and claims from Western intelligence agencies are to believed, they are involved in the international drugs trade as movers. They allegedly have links to some of the Mexican and South American Cartels. They either provide mercenaries or help move drugs.
