@@airforce6544 If I remember right, he put green paint on a crumpled up plastic bag, and dabbed that on the black top. The parts on the bag without paint left the top black, and the parts with green paint transferred the color to the top. The really cool part is that the crumpled bag tends to fold in short straight lines, and that gives the paint job its unique look. The whole process was very simple, fast, inexpensive, and effective.
@@picksalot1 your version is interesting, because in other comments guys said that after the bag action he put candy paint and that spray doesn't attract somehow to the whole surface, but it's strange how does it applied to the white surface and made it green and didn't apply to the black one

I just did a quick scan of this video, and its pretty easy to deduce what he did: White base coat - let dry, then spray with black paint, and while still wet, remove some of the black paint by placing a crumpled sheet of plastic on it, and lift up to remove some of the black paint. Let dry. Then, spray several coats of translucent green paint to the desired shade. It shows up green oven the white paint, but essentially clear over the black paint. He might spray final clear coats over that to help protect the finish. Sorry for initially not describing it accurately. My bad.
So you primer the guitar and then paint a base coat and then do a darker top coat? And then take plastic bag and push it down on to paint in random patterns? Then clear coat?

Si lo lijas le vas a quitar ese acabado que en realidad no se llama 3D se llama multifoil, lo recomendable es que cuando ya le des el color final en este caso el uso un verde esmeralda ya le aplicas una capa de laca para que no quede aspero pero una muy leve capa hasta que no se vea el aspero

Very explicative video. Congratulations! Now, question: is the green cover a different kind of ink? I wonder why it doesn't cover the black ink. Regular ink would cover the prior color completelly, not letting the efect appear. Any suggestion there?
Após utilizar o plástico para gerar o efeito ,vc lixou pra nivelar a tinta , ou não precisou? Ou preencheu com o verniz ? Ficou muito linda a pintura!!

I have never seen this done, and would not have believed using a plastic sheet would do this if I hadn't seen it with my own eyes!!!.. Why does my guitar look scared now hehe. Is there a spray matt finish that is not sticky after its dry that you could recommend, as this would be the only reason I would not try this as I am scared of a tacky feel ~finish. Love the video!, I really learned something, cheers :)
Eu queria reformar uma bateria. E queria que fosse pintada. Nesse estilo verniz e tal. O que me recomenda usar para madeira. Se souber me responder. Será que modificaria muito o som sento que vou retirar um verniz velho pra aplicar um novo?
Não existe verniz clarinho... pois eles são transparentes (exceto se estiver pigmentado) o que vai dar a tonalidade é a cor da madeira, ok? Mas a pergunta é a bateria está na madeira??

that paint job is impossible to mess up!
But a real pain in the a** to get an even clear coat on it 😂. Might take closer to 10 layers of clearcoat with sanding between every 2 or 3 coats.

it's varnish or lacquer with some added color. thats why it doesnt cover completely the background
