Although I appreciate all of the content you produce, these types of videos remind me of the original spirit of TH-cam. This just goes to show that no matter how old we get or where we go in life when we are presenting something with enthusiasm we are all just little kids showing off our favorite Legos.

Seriously appreciate you going out and getting the sidearm that your intended audience is “required” to use. Also, getting it early enough to run through a few hundred rounds prior to your course. That really gives you time to see any inherent deficiencies to the platform and train on those. One of the many hallmarks to a good course leader.

I have one of the best, and also one of the most useless Beretta 92 models. It's a 92D, with a 92G decocking lever. Because you always want to decock your double action only pistol when there is no single action notch on the hammer. The G is the best Beretta mod ever, and we have the French to thank for it, because they said 'we like this, but this safety is dumb'. One of these days I'll get a proper 92D slide and swap that G slide onto a regular TDA Beretta.

Obviously you know way more than I do, and that is a sick collection, but it’s a shame most of you guys who served with elite unites became so familiar with Glock. It’s a reliable platform, and by no means am I saying Glock sucks, but the original Walther P99 which became the P99 AS (and subsequent PPQ, PDP, & Canik) is the greatest striker fired pistol platform of all time. Fully cocked striker which means trigger is super crisp, extremely comfortable grip, stepped chamber, just as simple to disassemble as a Glock, and is more robust.
Generally speaking, if you give an inexperienced shooter a Walther PPQ/PDP, they are going to shoot more accurately because their sight alignment is not disturbed thru light crisp trigger pull. There’s no changing your mind about Glock, I know that. Just think they’ve been surpassed by other platforms, so I would recommend others to new shooters. Then again, the extent of my experience is shooting a paper target that doesn’t shoot back.

The M9 gets a bad rap, not because they don't train the right way, it's that nobody trains at all.
I'm sure there are exceptions. Units with solid training programs, where actual preventative maintenance is conducted and pride of ownership is instilled. But there's always folks who are going to complain about an issue item because they've never been taught how to use it.
I've been issued brand new, still coated in grease M9s and M9s that looked like they'd been used their entire life to hammer wooden stakes in the ground.
And because most of them are the 'wooden stake hammer' variety because nobody has pride of ownership because there is no learned skill, and thus achievement, they don't care because nobody before them cared.
I could go on for hours. I have gone on for hours. I'm still a fan of the Beretta 92 series.

What did you use when you were serving and stuff ? Are could you switch it up. Surprised you didn't have any Wilson combat stuff.

You ever shoot a 10mm? I’ve got a Glock 40 in 10mm. Love it. It’s an absolute beast.

Nice collection if you like Tyr triggers you should check out Wilson Combat trigger especially for your carry guns they are solid comfortable and completely factory except for the trigger shoe.

I wonder if Mac whatever consider throwing European pistols in there like the archon type b or pistols that are being covered by TFB TV in iwi show (their version of shot show)

Not sure if you know or not, but Carolina Arms Group went out of business. The gunsmith there worked with me at a local indoor range in Mooresville NC

I like the old wore out ones the best. They start getting personality in that 20, 000 + round count. When does a barrel just quit?? Im not good enough to tell , lol.

Looks like you tend towards the practical over the sentimental in your pistol choices.
