Loki is more of a complex figure and often referred to as a blood brother to Odin, meaning they shared a bond through a blood pact, but they are not related by birth. Loki is a trickster god and, though he lived among the Aesir (Odin's pantheon), he often caused trouble for the gods, including Odin and Thor.
I'm all for loose interpretations of mythologies for the sake of story-telling, but I do wish people would at least make an effort into actually learning Norse Mythology cuz it's actually pretty cool. Odin is not Loki's father in the actual myth, that'd be Farbauti, a Jotunn man. He has no relation to Odin at all, besides the fact that they made a blood pact, making them blood brothers, not father/son. It is very likely that the King of the Giants will be Odin, cuz, dah, but if we are going mythological, Farbauti would be the King, not Odin.
This could be just a training arc because Luffy probably will agree or have an opinion much more similar to the "bad guys" of Elbaf. Rodo is angry with him because Hajrudin joined the Grand Fleet to work under Luffy, but Luffy doesn't care about that, he didn't want a fleet. So he would be on the side of any giant claiming that he's not their boss. If someone is angry for Luffy being called the Sun God, Luffy has no idea what that means and it's another title that he doesn't want. Right now probably no one has told Luffy about his real fruit, what's a nika or what's a Sun God.

For all we know, he’s probably one of the other races from one of the other realms. And if Loki isn’t a giant, what race would he be? So if someone can help me out with that, that would be great.
