Words cannot describe how happy I was when I saw the two of them get married. Japanese media has this unfortunate trend of leaving the endgame of a couple ambiguous, more often than not taking the ‘and they stared off into the distance hoping for a brighter tomorrow’ route. Arise on the other hand not only confirmed that our main leads not only have feelings for each other, but actually have a canonically happy resolution. And it’s so. Damn. GOOD.
Easily one of my favourite video game couples ever, also one of the few that has an actual resolution beyond a simple confession (them getting married)
Same xD, i was actually preparing for a sad twist cause tales usually does that in most of thier games, but was surprised they actually got a happy ending, it was great xD
@@viccrang I was gonna say, Cheria & Asbel get together at the end of Graces and I had trouble rooting for them. They were kinda basic IMO :/ Shionne & Alphen are way better, along with like....Jude & Milla? (Although that one ended kinda tragically...)
What I really appreciate about this game is that they could've gone the bittersweet route or left this relationship in ambiguity, but they didn't! Arise did what most modern mainstream Japanese media fails to do: canonize a romance!
Thanks for this compilation, I loved their campsite talks and Shionnes gradual opening up to other people. What do you think about the ending? Some people complained it was a Deus ex Machina, but with so much info on Dahna having a will (or at least an ID, with the potential of having EGO), and the very first boss fight showing an awakened conscious energy spirit I honestly believe it was completely justified for Alphen to call for Dahnas will and believe it was a viable solution.
Makes sense to me xD, tho i was more invested in the characters rather than the story's consistency xD, and most tales games ive played has that bitter twist at the end, thats why i love this ending and it was a breath of fresh air compared to the others, since you see their relationship evolve, struggles conqured, and by the end of the game, you will see it was all worth it 😁
Only Tales I played was the Radiant Mythology trilogy, so this was the first one I played that did not have char created protagonist. The story was nice I really thought she was gonna die

@@nicodcruzgamescollection1217 Yeah, I heard they had sad endings mostly, but I am glad they didn't do it with this one as well.
And it was believable!!!

Just finished it yestersay, without doubt become my favorite. The ending of this game so satisfying
2:29 So cute omg. Shionne totally lets her mask slip for a few solid seconds
Omg when she reaches out to touch alphen and then stops herself 😭😭😭
I love them so much. It's such a Rollercoaster of emotions
Also the dark wings scene was probably the angrier Alphen ever was, it slaps
Beautiful video! Thanks for making me relive the game again.
Yo, that's the best video I have found that covers all the main highlighting moments of their relationship. Amazing!!

At least it heals me from berseria ending

amazing game and video
We need more games that have romance and end like this (unlike FFXVI...)
It still hurts
I like the cuts but it started to annoyy that you're skipping a lot of lines later on
