    Well done. As you know the CFMoto 450MT is the hot new bike that that many are buying and reviewing, saying that, one of your experienced thorough intelligent reviews of the 450MT would add value to many. Cheers.

      Thanks, glad you enjoyed it. Yes the 450 is hot property at the moment, ran into a rider on one while having one of my many coffee breaks- he loved it. I’ll have a word with Moto Adelaide & see if they can hook me up.👍

    I've got a 2017 model, which is a little more simple. No LCD dash etc. I bought it for 2.5K and it only had 10,000kms. Essentially its a Kawasaki ER6N/Versys copy for the engine with a 6 speed gearbox and it does the job. Parts are easy enough to get in Australia, but only from CFMoto or AliExpress. Quality varies in terms of parts, some of the plastic is quite weathered and it's clear its not the same quality as a Japanese bike of the same era (or indeed 80s, 90s or 2010). There are basically no aftermarket parts in the local area or in the US. Some things like a centre stand can be had from Greece etc. Ultimately, its a pretty reasonable bike which I do not care if it slides down the road and its reasonably happy to take the abuse. I've had it for about 12 months and its likely I'll move it on soon. If you're looking for something to review, I'd like to see some more information on the Kawasaki Vulcan 2000 (VN2000).

    • @standupmoto
      @standupmoto  3 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      Thanks for the comment, I didn’t realise they had been available here for 7 years. Would be interesting to see how different they are side by side 2017 & 2024, I’ll see if I can find a VN2 to review. I have ridden the big Vulcan some time ago, she’s a big machine & I would imagine getting a bit collectible now.

    I have the U.S version of this. Here it is called the 650 Adventura. In the U.S we do not get the crash bars but we do get Shad panniers as standard. So far I am very impressed with mine. I was fortunate enough to purchase mine for $4500 all included. It was a used bike with 3 miles on it.

    I have one of these in the UK, only thing I would complain about is fuel consumption avg 40mpg here, ok I don't ride it too gentle but not mad, I had a Suzuki sv1000s before this and that got better mpg, done 1250 miles so far and no problems, seems a little under powered until its had first service (bit weird) but now its a rocket for a 650, really cant complain about it at all, put some heated grips and hand guards on for the British weather. No other bike comes with a 4 year warranty in the UK that I'm aware of so this swung it for me, no brainer for the price, costs 4500 pounds which is silly low.

    Just recently bought a 2020 650mt very impressed with the build quality and features the only gripe I have being a mechanic and working on my own bike is the use of cheap nasty Chinese nut and bolt hardware just about every bolt I have removed from the bike I have had to run a tap through as the thread quality is garbage and the bolts tend to want to cross thread if your not super careful and patient when bolting parts back together I find I’m now running a tap through the thread of every fixture I remove other than that super happy with the bikes performance and handling.

    Wow! Another worthy contender in the same price range for the G 310 GS, with a lot more power and features to offer. I've already got a beast with S1000RR for my love of the trackdays, but started looking forward to the dual sport that can do off-road well. Seems like the Suzuki V-STROM 250SX might be the one I settle into, gives me a little more left over in the back for the CFMoto 450 CLC. I love it that those bikes are all so well integrated with phones. Btw, I'm just across the ditch in Auckland.

    • @standupmoto
      @standupmoto  3 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      Hi, you’ve got a nice track bike there with the RR for sure. If you’re looking for a good dual sport I think the CFM450 would be hard to go past, haven’t had a chance to review it yet but it certainly looks great & those I’ve spoken to with them love it. Great to hear from NZ, your boy SVG is making his presence known in the US atm👍

    I got a 22 650 cfmoto I'm about to hit 3k I've been 120mph with bags on and I have gone on 6 hours road trips and alot short trips I never had a problem my only issue is that a can be alittle top heavy for me I'm only 130pounds so it's a big bike especially when the misses is on my back. It deff has some plastic noise it makes but honestly it doesn't bother me any. It's a fast bike but when I ride with my buddy with a cbr1000 I don't feel fast lol.

      Side note the navigation and phone Bluetooth is trash just use your phone and a helmet headset. The app is cool for security it tells you if someone is touching your bike and info about your ride like top speed, mileage traveled, leans hit and rapid acceleration and deceleration kinda cool it will yell at you if you over rev it happens sometimes especially if your hoping on the high way and you flipping through the gears

  • @TonyNicastri

    I have to comment on one thing I strongly feel is an issue with the brand and not just the MT650 of which I bought new in 2021 and sold mid 2023. Overall I liked the bike, but the on off throttle jerkiness was bloody annoying and one of the main reasons I sold it and they acknowledged but did not have a fix for it
    My battery also rubbed on the frame and this 2023 in the video still has the same issue. I’m not trying to be to negative because for the price and it’s KTM links means it’s a pretty good bike but it’s not for me

    • @standupmoto
      @standupmoto  2 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      Thanks Tony for your honest feedback and ownership experience, overall I found it to be a competent machine for the money. Interestingly I didn’t have the jerkiness on this one but maybe it has been re-mapped for the 23 model but I don’t actually know that for sure. Sadly I would have thought the battery issue would have been addressed by 2023, some may think it’s not an issue but personally I didn’t like the idea of it touching the frame. Thanks again for sharing 👍

    Nice review. I am wondering how the bike feels if you cruising on a highway with about 130 km/h? Does it have enough power to sustain such speed comfortable for hours?

    • @standupmoto
      @standupmoto  หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yes for sure, 130 isn’t a problem but for old motocross knees like mine a set of additional folding highway pegs would be preferable for extended trips. There’s nothing wrong with the peg position on the bike but just a bit high for me. I found the seating fine, firm but I didn’t find it an issue at all.

    • @standupmoto
      @standupmoto  3 หลายเดือนก่อน +4

      Hi, yes I get your confusion here. My understanding is CF Moto are their own company that used Kawasaki designed engines in some of their bikes pre-2017, they then formed a partnership with KTM and swap a lot of engineering between both companies. But I think they are still their own company with their own engineers but share their expertise, someone deeper within the CFMoto/KTM dealerships may be able to shed more light on this. Cheers.

      Yeah I hear you & have to confess I wasn’t sure what to think when I picked this bike up to review. But after spending a week with this one I have to say for the money you spend there’s a hell of a lot of bike, it just didn’t do anything wrong. Is it a Japanese bike for twice the money? No but I’d say give these guys a couple of years and I’ve got a funny feeling there’s a lot of brands that will have to sharpen pencils to stay competitive. I guess it’s a time will tell thing, thanks for your thoughts 👍

       @standupmoto You have probably right when you say that in less than a decade they will produce very nice bike and I see them like the korean cars brands..few years ago.
      Back in the eighties/nineties what was the quality of Hyundai/Kia..and what today?
      What an achievement!
      As we live only once I remain 100% Honda..I didn't say 100% Japanese bike, I say Honda!
