Very nice and well priced at £9200 on the road with full luggage according to CF Moto website puts its competitors to shame 🤔. Good intensive review thanks 👍
I don't think there is any question that, like it or not, the Chinese are coming and the Japanese and European brands need to start taking the threat seriously by offering more for your money than they currently do.
A lot of these so called European & Japanese brands have been ,obtaining components , engines & even having full motorcycles built in Chinese factory’s for some time now .
Chinese bikes are only coming if somebody buys them which I for one will never do partly because there rubbish and secondly why would you fund a country that at some point we will end up being at war with when the Taiwan war starts.
@terrybrooks7140 How do you know they are “rubbish” where is your evidence to support such a sweeping statement? And as for the “at war” issues had you completely forgotten that Japanese made bikes took a hold in this country just 20-25 years after we had been at war with THEM that being an actual war that took place not the one you imagine might happen….you should check your history my friend and also support your criticisms with some actual facts
I've worked on Chinese cars and bike's and been in the motor trade for 45 years so I think I'm coming from a vast amount of experience which you don't have and yes the war may not come fingers crossed but open your eyes and look at what China's been doing in Hong Kong etc

There is still a stigma attached to Chinese products in general but it has to be said that some of the worlds most respected products emanate from there. Andy.
It's a lot of bike for the money and really eye catching too, there's something about spoked wheels, they look great on a Adventure bike and even better on the retro bikes. Spot on what you were saying about off road bikes, a 250/400 is more than enough, easy to pick up and you're not going to bawl your eyes out 😭when you drop it!! Smashing Video 👍
I recently changed my GS 1250 for the Explore version of this bike. I’m well happy rides well has everything you want and mine was a good deal with full luggage and a discount I got from the bike show. Worked out less than half the price of the GS 1300 I was going to have but being a pensioner you have to look after your money 4 year warranty and breakdown cover too. People think these are cheap Chinese bikes they are far from that they are well constructed cost effect bikes that are very capable. I’ve done several videos of my Explore version on my TH-cam Channel if you want to see the difference between the Touring and the Explore Great review of the bike I’m sure this bike will be seen more and more on the roads this year
Nice review, Dave! Yes, they are a nice-looking bike and are good value for money. I tried one here in West Oz last year but found that the weight was an issue for me, as I'm now 78 yo. The weight is centred quite high and for me I found that, at a standstill, anything over a couple of degrees past the vertical and the bike wanted to lie down. Whilst I can just about manage to pick it up now, in another couple of year or so's time, I very much doubt that I'd be able to do that. So, not for me.
My wife has a Chinese car (electric) I was sceptical when she ordered it. It’s fantastic, no issues in 25k miles. The only concern with Chinese vehicles is resale
But there is a fix for the lack of low range revs, a bit like a push-button sequence of the stop button. I saw the video tutorial on a US specific FB page.
LOVE MINE! I have the US Version which is the Ibex 800T. I've done a handful of mods like foot pegs, mirrors, removed the yellow stripes, different luggage racks, exhaust etc. Like you said its super comfortable on the highway... I've done simple gravel roads and will eventually do some forest roads here in Minnesota. Currently on 70/30 tires and may change them out for more 50/50 tire. Great bike for the money it really is.
I do get a laugh out of some of these people and some people i know about their preju·dice's' about Chinese vehicles. i own a Haval Jolion with all the bells and whistles. The warranty is 7 years with roadside service , my son wouldn't buy a Chinese vehicle because he didn't trust them, so he bought a 5 year old big name car with 90,000 klms on it. He has had in the car in the workshop off and on for the last year no warranty of course
My local dealership has these for £9,199 on the road with the full metal luggage pack thrown in for nowt!!! CF Moto clearly have confidence in their product with the standard 4 year warranty they give. In all it's a very tempting option ... I'm going to have to test ride one!!

A nice comprehensive, enjoyable review TBW. This is the Chinese bike that looks to be the one that could "convert" a few sceptics. With it's KTM DNA and slightly above budget price I think it has a chance, it just needs more people to be able to see them in the wild or even in a few more show rooms the dealer network is too sparse at the moment 50 miles is my nearest (Unless I go into London) and they don't have a Demo. Shame, I'd be interested in taking a punt as it looks like Very good value
Been looking forward to this. Another fine review, Dave. As you are more than aware, this class of bike doesn't exactly push my buttons but, by heck, I really could be swayed by this particular machine. It really is the complete package and superb value. Handsome to boot, too. Bikes of this calibre will become more commonplace in due course, of that I'm sure. Of course, there'll still be detractors, diehards and doubters, with views unsavoury or otherwise. Fact is, as someone's already commented, 'they're coming'. Give them time. Nice one. 👍
I'm aquainted with a man that owns a dealership in Easter Europe. He sells all Japanese brands, Indians, Triumph and Benelli. He stopped selling CF Moto's because of the horrible delivery times for parts. He had to keep people waiting for warranty work, and it was hurting his business too much, so he doesn't sell them anymore
Good Morning Dave , a brilliant review on this bike as you said for the money you can't beat it , but the 22 model with full luggage is such a snip , so take care & ride safe
No denying the CF Moto is a good looking bike that is well equipped and great value for money however there are issues with owning one and those primarily come down to a limited dealership network, spares back up and servicing, if the importers and the factory can sort these out and actively promote their dealers then they would probably sell a lot more bikes.
Excellent review, I think it looks better than the KTM,as regards off-road, watch some videos of Chris birch riding KTM,890,1290s off road, it's amazing what they can do in the hand's off a former Enduro champion.
Great informative video, as always. A fellow lady biker has had a CFmoto 700 for a while and she loves it....and she flies! I debated trying the 800 but went for the Transalp.
I’ve not had the pleasure of the Transalp (not for want of trying) but it looks and sounds like a fine bike and of course Honda reliability…..and many thanks for the kind comment😊👍🏻
Don't think I heard a mention of the Versys 650. With its superior suspension, refinement, and excellent track record, its 20hp deficit, while a thing, isn't everything. In these parts, the price difference isn't so great.
Nice looking bike for an adventure plenty of good stuff really like the colour and wheels a lot for the money in comparison to other makes I see a center stand and it has the quick shifter which from what I understand you would have to pay extra for after a few months with KTM as CF Moto doesn't turn things of to get more money,😉 but the resale value would worry me I think even on a PCP were you could be well down at the 3 year point .Good review 👌👍
TFT looks very nice, Technology is good but sometimes you just need a little time to find the right menus. And you did a great job without the manual. Very nice review. Cheers

I think the CF Motos look great, couple of slightly clunky styling bits on the crash bars but as the owner of a GS and a Himalayan i cant say too much. On looks alone theres very little not to like.
Mmm I’m pretty sure that the CF Moto is the best of the Chinese brands, but is it really cheap enough? If you take into account depreciation then the gap is a lot smaller than it should be, should you be trying to change it every 3 years. It’s born out by the discounting even at new.
TBW, I’m sure the 800MT Touring comes with a quick shifter & cruise control. The Advance version is the only version with Traction Control. I’m not sure if this version is available in the UK? I wonder when the little 450MT model will arrive in the UK? CFMOTO certainly make exciting motorcycles.
I agree that the largest percentage of adventure bikes NEVER see the OFF-Road so I don't understand why manufacturers persist with 'adventure style' bike masquerading as a 'tourer '. Someone PLEASE give us a 'sub 1000cc' proper tourer in the style of a Honda ST, Yamaha FJR or BMW RT. I owned a Honda 1300ST for 15 years but cannot find a 'sub 1000cc' proper road tourer as a middle weight road tourer for an older road rider. Great review though.

Nice review! I’d worry about proper adventure riding with all that electronics - maybe that’s prejudice about Chinese electronics, after all iPhones are made in china!
if i ever buy a chinese bike it would be this the benelli trk 702x is not bad but this is on another level, there is the v strom almost same price but you get something thats tested and overtime resail value doesnt drop
It looks a great bike and there is no doubt that the Chinese bikes are coming on leaps and bounds. But I would (currently) just buy a used Japanese or European bike instead; parts availability while touring would probably be better, resale value would be better and long term reliability is a known quantity. I wouldn't object to a Chinese bike in the future though.
Have you thought of changing the channel name to “hot arse wheeler” it may introduce a whole new group of followers. 😂😂 you didn’t mention the self correcting mirror, it just fixed itself by magic when you did the walkaround - brilliant. On a serious note all adventure bikes are the new touring bikes I reckon. The conventional tourers days are probably numbered unfortunately.
One of the problems with the CFMoto and other Chinese bike companies there's practically no aftermarket support aside from the bits from the factory itself. If you're one to keep your bikes factory then I guess it doesn't matter but for me half the fun is modding and making it your own.
this is a touring bike just has the looks like adventurer and most of the gs a africa riders ride on road because its to heavy you get a tenere 700 for that
Voge 900 DSX blown it out of the water here in Europe basically a BMW f900 gs for €8888 same issues with throttle jerk though just made a video about it on my channel

I HATE snatchy throttles. Poor engineering if you ask me... The worst situation is when negotiating a down hill hairpin/switch back turn and you have to GRADUALLY give it a bit of gas.. nothing, nothing BANG!!! No thank you... Send it back for a re work...
Any manufacturer can make a bike look pretty with deep paint and good graphics but I don't see any Chinese bike capable of doing the mileage that Japanese brands can do. Just take the 650 Vstrom for example, these bikes just run on for well over 100,0000 miles and more on just simple servicing. That is where Chinese brands no matter how well they look or ride when new will simply not compete. The materials and metallurgy developed and used by the Japanese is unrivalled even by European brands.
These modern Chinese bikes and cars will easily run very high milages and will dominate the markets for years to come just as the Japanese did in the sixties and seventies .cf moto offer 4 yrs unlimited milage warranty and produce engines for KTM amongst others, and all of BMW motorcycle switch gear, no doubt posted on your chinese made phone, tablet, laptop or pc

@@kugangles9860 yes so would I I’ve had a triumph speedmaster great bike bought it new in 2022 the gold line in a beautiful grey then traded in for a brand new triumph rocket 3gt chrome edition and what a beautiful bike I don’t think I’ll look back they seem excellent quality but I’m told designed by British designers and I expect what materials they must use so hopefully can’t go wrong bye for now
Not into fly by wire throttles . I always carry a universal throttle & clutch cable emergency repair kit , & prefer a proper throttle cable . Any bike fitted with riding modes ,slipper ,clutches ,quick shifter ,blipper sh💩t & such like ,has no chance of me wanting or opening my wallet to obtain one . I would still prefer carburettors ,over fuel injection . New or used ,I buy all my bikes cash haven’t bought on finance for around 24 years . I have been known to keep a bike for as long as 16 years ,if I like it . I still have the one i last bought on finance 24 years ago ,stripped down for a refurb as a project .. Also I have a Honda that was 10 years old in mint condition ,that’s now been in my possession for a further 10 years ,making it a 20 year old bike . My latest acquisition was a cash bought ,ex demo bike in good as mint condition ,a Chinese built Suzuki ,I have almost owned for 3 years ,that will probably see me out . I could afford more expensive posh boy bikes ,but don’t see the point ,as I only bimble around at speeds up to 60 mph most of the time & only use the odd stretch of motorway .
We got an old gimmer Luddite in our group too..eye by gum things were so much better back in the day blah blah blah
@@appymarley I am not a Luddite but not everting that is new is necessarily better or needed . At least we could find our way to where we were going without a sat nav & could ride & control motorcycles without having to rely on idiot proof tech ,to pull us out the sh💩t . I bet that old glimmer Luddite has forgotten more about motorcycles & motorcycling than you will probably ever learn whippersnapper .
Nicely replied buddy 😎👍🏻
Dave not my type of bike but i did enjoy your review. Do i take it you'll soon be spending 24 grand on a new fully specked GS.
Ha ha not a chance Ian 😎
Nice review! I’d worry about proper adventure riding with all that electronics - maybe that’s prejudice about Chinese electronics, after all iPhones are made in china!
One tip: This Chinese factory doesn't like our threadlocker, so check your bolts. From experience..
if i ever buy a chinese bike it would be this the benelli trk 702x is not bad but this is on another level, there is the v strom almost same price but you get something thats tested and overtime resail value doesnt drop
You may be onto something there pal I’ll give it a go and see if I get a subscription from Stormy Daniels 😂
I like the Voge DS900X as well and I think it’s cheaper
When the CFMoto are still running beyond 150,000 kilometres then i will consider one again. The last one i had was unreliable.
One of the problems with the CFMoto and other Chinese bike companies there's practically no aftermarket support aside from the bits from the factory itself. If you're one to keep your bikes factory then I guess it doesn't matter but for me half the fun is modding and making it your own.
There is already a lot of aftermarket stuff available for the 800mt. Keep in mind it’s a chinese KTM 🙃
9.5 & 10.5 thousand... Can't see sales being very brisk just because of where it is made!
You sir are my new favourite motovlogger.😊
Thank you that’s very much appreciated 👍🏻😊
The "roads" are like "off roads" now.....I think that's why people are buying ADV bikes and SUV cars.
this is a touring bike just has the looks like adventurer and most of the gs a africa riders ride on road because its to heavy you get a tenere 700 for that
So if you went touring on the Continent which would you choose, this bike or Super Meteor? 👍
Neither 😂
@@thebingleywheeler😂
Voge 900 DSX blown it out of the water here in Europe basically a BMW f900 gs for €8888 same issues with throttle jerk though just made a video about it on my channel
Had alook at this a few weeks ago. Only thing putting me off was the weight. Does it feel as heavy as its spec says? 🤔
Not at all it’s very manageable
I keep my bikes between 3 to 7 years depending on the bike. Only pay for bikes out right. Don't use finance.
Another excellent video 👍👍👍
Impossible for me to watch with that mirror as it is.
Obviously Nobody else thinks that
@@thebingleywheeler It upset me, too. Especially as we ride on the right here. Sloppy prep. methinks. Doesn't the bike come with a basic toolkit?
@m2menuiserie540 maybe but I couldn’t be bothered 🤣
@@thebingleywheeler Obviously 3 other people think so 🤣 good video though
It was a Roger rabbit bike 😂
Homer Simpson designed a car for his brother, Abe, and this bike reminds me. With that aesthetic and impracticality off-road, I don’t see the point.
Active collaboration with KTM and Yamaha
I find adventure riders tend (not all) to have an air of arrogance about them.
What the service intervils
I disagree there's plenty of people that take big adventure bikes on serious off road trails in Australia
But not here
No sixth gear?
6 speed
You buy one of this and you will see how many troubles you will get. I have a a CF Moto motorbike: "a nightmare". More time in the mechanical than on the road.
Perhaps you could help us by telling us about what the problems were exactly?
A lot of talk no proof ,I nearly bought one great bike ,next time I will get one I have a 2023 mt09sp on special at the moment great bike as well@@thebingleywheeler
I HATE snatchy throttles. Poor engineering if you ask me... The worst situation is when negotiating a down hill hairpin/switch back turn and you have to GRADUALLY give it a bit of gas.. nothing, nothing BANG!!! No thank you... Send it back for a re work...
Yep, and this is the only fuel injected bike that suffers from this unpleasant trait, is it?
Of course it is. 🙄
It’s not snatchy after a few miles
@@thebingleywheeler most bikes have the same problem
l like to keep a bike for 20 years if its good.most are these days
Wyc the story with the left mirror
Came loose no issues
Poor prep for a Demo bike😮
china ? china ? think about it before you buy and I'm not talking about the product
No way whatsoever of knowing that until they’ve been around longer
These modern Chinese bikes and cars will easily run very high milages and will dominate the markets for years to come just as the Japanese did in the sixties and seventies .cf moto offer 4 yrs unlimited milage warranty and produce engines for KTM amongst others, and all of BMW motorcycle switch gear, no doubt posted on your chinese made phone, tablet, laptop or pc
It sounds like a sewing machine
That's what was said about Jap bikes when they arrived.
I know. Good, isn't it? 😄
The triple engines sound the same way.
Better than something roaring ìn my ears and adding to my fatigue
CF moto has a horrid reputation for poor reliability and parts supply in quad bikes in Australia. Still can't believe KTM is in bed with them.
Do not buy anything chinese or made under licence
Why?
Why again

2nd 😔😁
