    Thank you both so much, I am 17 years old, live in Australia and have Schumann's disease and scoliosis. I was feeling really depressed about my back pain because everyone I have been talking to is very negative but you are both really positive which helped me through a difficult time so thanks

      I might have scherrmans disease too. My doctor isn't really sure :/
      Theres a little chunk out if one of my spine bones and they're all a bit too close to eachother (bit equally as close, so it's natural/how I grew). I haven't slept well.for uh... probably years now. I'm on Panadol osteo 3 times a day, have got codeine mixed with ibruprofen for when the pain is very band annnd am supposed to do excercises. Gotta do that

      I started having back pain around 17 as well. Now, 37. Went to doctors, chiropractors, therapists, gotten steroids shots for not being able to stand straight. All of them told me there is no cure but to keep exercising. Things started to get worse since I became a parent and lack of exercises

    I used to have plantar fasciitist -stepping on tennis balls helps a lot. I started changing my diet and started working out 5/week and I don't have plantar fasciitis anymore for almost a year now...thank god!

      try keep the fascia in your feet lose by way of walking on terrain barefoot, walking on uneven terrain is something that actually improves coordination as well.
      also try invest in minimal shoes.

    I'm 15 and I've been waking up with so many body aches recently, the aches aren't excruciating pain but similar to feeling sore after a workout and it's usually in random places like my thighs, chest, stomach, back, basically anywhere. The pain usually subsides after I take a hot shower though.

    I'm finally training myself to sleep after 38 years of stomach sleeping! Yes including during pregnancy!!! (With pillow assist lol) Finally started waking with pain:( didn't think I could do it, but this helped tremendously!

    Oh I needed this! I'm dredding waking up in the morning for work! Really struggled today working in a nursing home.The pain was so bad it took my breath away.i felt like I couldnt take care of the patients properly.Fingers crossed these solutions work.Thankyou!

      Honestly, inspect your mattress, and lay on it, paying attention to if it sags or is too soft. I've been having the same issue actually, a lower back pain that makes it hard to catch your breath! I feel you! I noticed my bed is actually not supporting my lower back at all when I lay flat, and on my side, my hips dig in hard because it's such a saggy mattress. Just got beat up because my side is the side the whole family sits on when they come in the room. So it's taken a beating but my attempt will be a board to put under the mattress, and maybe a lumbar support pillow for the bed (the chair ones are different) so maybe try the pillow or the board if your mattress is sagging too! I have a special knee pillow, but it hasn't helped.

      YES! I have been getting a pain right in the middle of my lower back, so I woke up last night and searched lumbar support pillows but realized I'm no good at shopping when tired so I'm here before bed again, thinking of getting a board to make my bed more firm. I think that's a big issue with my bed personally. It's not too old but it was the family hang out for a while as a bed couch.

    I don’t know what I’m doing when I’m sleeping. I have no control when I’m near coma. Lol. Pillows end up on other side of room. Sometimes I wake up and I can’t find my pillows. Or sheets. Maybe I’m a restless sleeper. This is all good while awake. After that anything is going to happen.

    Horrendous middle back pain -only upon waking -and it dissipates by late morning! -but it’s frustrating, and sad to waste half the morning suffering! I hope these tips will help or work ! its in middle, under shoulder blade- muscles are tense too :(

    Going to try them all together at once. There is not a part of my body that does not have pain in the morning. Due to sport rough outdoor life and hard work my body is in a bad state. But will try it all for better sleep and feel better in the morning and tiredness.

    I wake up with lower back pain on my left side I feel pain in my hips grind down my legs and I also feel a cold sensation from time to time it worsens when I do daily activities I got an MRI done an x-ray and everything seems fine so I’m lost for words of what could be going on. Please help😢

    I wake up with terrible low back by pain

    2:40 I don't sleep in one position, I will change from sleeping on my back to sleeping on my side. 3:10 Does that mean I need to adjust and add another pillow during the night? What if I adjust my position without waking up? I can't classify myself as sleeping exclusively in one position.

    Going to bed with the new side position give u an update when I wake up this better work because my whole body is sore especially my shoulder and neck. Update I woke up with no shoulder pain.. but now I have back pain wth. Every time I move I can feel the pain in my spine.

      @@freeworld6783 It's been months of waking up with rib pain. I think it's musculoskeletal pain in my back rib cage. The muscles that are connected to my ribs are spasming or something but it's been rough! What are your symptoms? Is it in the front of your ribs or your back?

      @@Julesorjulz it’s my back ribs started like 10 days ago I would wake up in the middle of the night with back my upper body side to side where my rib cages are all in pain can’t go back to sleep after that my mattress is 1 year old since I bought it I was thinking going to chiropractor or something 😣

      @@freeworld6783 Yeah it sounds like you have the same thing as me. See if sleeping with a pillow behind your back helps when you sleep on your side. It could be that your body is tense at night trying to hold your body on the side if that makes sense. Try new sleeping positions. It helps me sometimes but I'm still trying to figure it out. It's so rough 😣 I'm able to feel the muscle in between my ribs kinda spasm and if put any pressure on my ribs it takes my breath away 😅 so strange. Keep me posted with how you're feeling!

    GUYS...LOVE YOUR WORK. My husband is about to have BILATERAL KNEE REPLACEMENTS due to 45 yrs concreting in Australia (sad, hey). He goes in next month 20th July 2017. He is SO STOIC (& stubborn!). He will hobble in agony but will not even take paracetomol let alone anything stronger. Do you have any advice for us? I have watched many of your videos and obviously the two most important exercises will be being able to straighten his leg 100% and be able to bend his knee 100%.

    I have severe severe wrist and hand pain every morning for the last 9’years. I have tested negative for RA and have normal xrays. I’ve tried splints every night and it’s still bad. I take magnesium and multivitamins. Help! I’m only 46 years old.

    Great video. Just a comment. I use a wedge under my knees. But like Brad, my ankles are left hanging without support... In the morning those ankles are very painful. Any ideas? I suffer from Ankylosing Spondylarthropathy and lupus.

I have scheffeler. appt. with scoliosis surg. in NY because no surgeons in La. will do it. I see these chiroprac an PT on Utube claiming they can help scoliosis.     I wakup with numb hands and for a month I am waking up with severhand arm pain with shoulder. And even my head get numb.

      @@wakopako2803 oh I completely forgot about this yeah good luck dude I stopped sleeping on sides for a week and yeah it would be gone for 2 or 3 weeks try ur best not to sleep on side if you did just use thick pillows when sleeping on sides

    I have pain in the shoulder blade by the spine only after sleeping for a few hours. It hurts for a little while after waking up then goes away during the day. But im not getting any rest at night because of the pain. What should I do?

    depending on your sleeping pattern we have a 1 pillow 2 pillow, 4 pillow and 10 pillow option😊

    I sleep on one of those wedges for reflux relief, I have terrible mid back pain on one side, and same side this strange high hip pain and then this very low pain, I have been trying the sacroiliac tests and unsure about that one. MRI was of the lumbar and showed disk bulging in several places and thinning and disk disease. Can I sleep the way you showed with that leg wedge along with the reflux wedge? I barely sleep at night anymore.

    What about hip pain and knee pain when you sleep on your side- I end up sleeping on my back, but I feel achy and stiff every morning always. If I sleep on my side, I hug a pillow, but my hip is at an angle and aches, so I switch sides, and finally end up sleeping on my back.

    I have a waterbed, I have slept on it for 14 years. I got it because of back pain, and although it's really comfortable, I now have a disc bulge L2, which is pressing on the nerve root. could the bed be the cause of the problem? Thanks for your videos.

      physicaltherapyvideo it's quite soft, but seems to mould to my back shape, it feels lovely but I can't help wondering if it's done more harm than good

    Hey guys, I really appreciate all your videos. Your explanations are clear, examples practical, and your​ bit of humor is delightful. My wife and I enjoy watching your videos so much we sometimes have to skip Netflix!
    I've searched through your videos a bit, and can't seem to find any of them about correcting "duck feet," or outward facing feet. If you've got one, could you point me to it? If not, I'd love to see a video on it sometime.

      I really appreciate them and I watch them whenever I have an injury that they have a video about, but to be honest I don't enjoy it when I watch them... Usually I have a bad injury when I watch them so I can't see how you enjoy their videos like you're watching a TV show on Netflix.

    I've had great results using a big ol plush body pillow. I can prop my leg and arm over it and sleep soundly, then wake up feeling well rested.

    Iam only 33 years old and I struggle to get out of bed I have severe nerve issues in my hands and arms not to mention from my neck to my lower back it feels like I’m cramping up and it takes a long time to make it go Away and that’s not including the numbness in my feet and hands and as of late I’ve had the feeling of a Charlie horse running down my left leg from my lower back and I just can’t handle it anymore. I shouldn’t feel like this at this age.

    I wake up almost every night or several times a night with both my arms above my head. I have right shoulder tendinitis that responded well to therapy and as the pain dissipated my right arm started creeping up to now where I wake up it's above my head. What can I do to help train myself to change this habit. My neck pain is returning also. I don't know if that is aggravating it but it was the original pain problem I went to physical therapy for. It was then determined that my shoulder tendinitis was a cause of the neck pain.
