Deadly Tarantula Girl WOW! I really respect your ability to do all this, it must take a lot of responsibility and time. I feel for ya. it's not every day an attractive GIRL ( I said it, just ignore it) starts a collection of massive semi-poisonous giant spiders.
Girl! YOU need to speak on behalf of all spiders! I literally HATE and am TERRIFIED of even the smallest spider, but your perspective (oddly) made me feel sympathetic towards even this giant tarantula. I'm giving you a compliment wrapped around advice - maybe you should teach people about these creatures. PS - I hope her leg gets 100% after the next molt :)
Wow! That's amazing to hear. By the way, I make it a point to educate about many exotics especially ones who are misunderstood and feared by the general public like snakes and spiders. I'm so glad you were watching!!! I hope you subscribe or at least follow along so you can see and learn more!
This feeling goes away some time after the 20th video or so. Though every now and again, I have to remind myself DTG and her lovely collection of animals are ~ 1000 miles away!
Deadly Tarantula Girl I didn't know what you were feeding it but every time you said pinkie I thought of pinkie fingers (didn't believe those thoughts)
Interesting - I had no idea that Ts could regenerate their missing legs. And, it is so merciful and compassionate of you to make sure that your mice are already unconscious before you feed them to your Ts - you go girl 👍.
I’m scared of spiders but the way you describe the arachnid and how informative you are is amazing and comforting for me, who knows I may get a baby tarantula
+Fusion Exotics - That's so strange. This is the first time this animal has ever eaten a mouse and it was post molt. I wonder if she could have experienced a bad molt from just thinking about eating a mouse. Either that, or it was dryer than normal, seeing that we are experiencing record cold temperatures and so in the process of heating my room artificially the humidity was reduced. Who know, either one is equally likely.
Love your videos! Just a thought thought wouldn't the calcium in the pinkie's bones have a negative effect on the molting process by causing the exoskeleton to get more calcium than it would typically get from eating invertebrates. Just something I was told years ago when I began keeping tarantulas.
OMG. I was shocked at first. I just couldn't believe that tiny tiny dead creature was a mouse. It was sooo small. But I hope that female spider is doing so much better these days🕷
Pedo Bear I think he means live food, or he doesn't need help to be fed. I don't think he understands the thing was just close to death and I'd still recovering and that this was liter as lly the first thing the spider ate in a while
Had no idea that Nopes could be fed prey that had been frozen and thawed. That's how I used to feed my Danger Noodle, but didn't no Tars were responsive to that kind of prey feeding.
In the late 1970s living in New York I purchased a Mexican red knee or legged from pet shop after a friend got one. I saw how cool at 17 years old it was a cool pet. I read a lot about Tarantulas. I feed her crickets and weird insects from summer garden. One day I looked into the tank and saw my spider on it's back. I was heart broken. Then I looked over and saw another beautiful colored specimen and was confused until I realized it molted it's skin. How amazing! The old skin looked exactly like a full formed spider. I had my cool pet for another few months until my order sister got very drunk, took it out of it's tank to play around with, then she dropped it. This killed the spider by accident. I live in Arizona now. Found a large brown one in the Phoenix area desert. I wanted to catch him then I thought he was better off. He was as big. at least 7" in dia. I liked those spiders though I hated when they would brush that itchy stuff on you. It was cool seeing spin silk. As I recall it spin a large web in the rock cave I provided before it molted.
Yeah. They are not bad guys and are actually there to protect us against harmful insects. But what still makes them scary is their unpredictability. If you put your hand in the terrarium close to them and they perceive you as a threat even if you are not, they will strike at the speed of lighting.
What a sweet heart omg. I'm so glad she made it through the molt. How can you tell whether the spider has envenomated its food or not?? Don't they also use fluid other than venom to dissolve the meat?
I only feed my spiders live food. Only one or two will eat dead. My Texas brown will literally take a dead prey item and throw it in her trash corner for her old webs and food. I usually feed vertebrate food only as a treat or for plumping up before breeding and after laying eggs. It has to be live otherwise they won't touch it. My spiders are spoiled rotten.
+Rem my Ts won't eat mealworms or super worms, but they will eat June bug grubs. Also my female Texas brown dropped her first sac last night! Earlier today I fed her a small wolf spider as she was looking shriveled and weak she is being a great first time mom and I hope to see lots of babies soon!
YOU ARE UTTERLY BEAUTIFUL. I speak not of your outward/physical appearance but, rather, of your concern for the suffering of animals - prey and predators alike - and your demonstrable compassion in preventing it as much as possible. people like you help me hang onto the dwindling thread of hope I (still) have for (some of) humanity.
my thoughts are with you I lost both my G Porteri and P Lugardi at the end of 2016 I was devastated and I wouldn't wish that on anyone I hope your T makes a full recovery
Just got a Sydney funnel web out of my house , now I'm watching this ! Too many spiders in my life ! But I still like the bloody things for some reason
Should never feed these spiders mice due to the high calcium content, i understand that it is part of their natural diet in the wild, but I'm sure that most of you guys know that high calcium foods for this particular species can cause high calcification of the exoskeleton, which in turn can cause bad moults, it's our duties as keepers to reduce these risks & keep our pets so they can live long & healthy lives. Paul.
Paul Fleming Hi Paul ! I feed my spiders Crickets but I want to give them more variety ! Are Super, wax, and hornworms okay ? Anything else that you recommend? Thanks :)
+Life & Times of JCM It is just the way the exoskeleton hardened. It there is ever a little split, the spider would bleed at the least and lose hydraulic pressure and die at the worst:)
They are pretty soft. Some of them really don't like to be held and some don't mind but if they fall, they are very likely to die. So, I caution people from handling them.
I have nothing but horrible luck with Stirmi. They always seem to have problems with molting. The bigger they get the worst the molts go. I lost 2 huge mature female Stirmis last year from bad molts, it's so infuriating...I'm never more nervous than when one of my Stirmi molt....they are however the only specie I have ever successfully breed several times. Great vid Deadly!
I seem to always come back to this video when one of my Stirmis are molting, or bout to lay a sack....One thing that always bothered me was the feeding of the dead thawed mouse...I take no pleasure in the pain of animals, I love animals, but I just can't conceive of feeding a thawed, dead mouse. Several of my mature Stirmis get a small mouse once every couple months, but the mouse Is alive and healthy. The hunt seems to really keep the Tarantulas happy, and it's pretty much over before the mouse suffers at all...Just my 2 cents on live feedings...
swaggy swagson I think it was just to give her a boost of protein and other minerals. Since she had a bad molt and is kinda weak, and haven't eaten since, I think it was the best way to gives strength to the tarantula.
I've never heard of crickets eating a tarantula even at a weakened state. That would be weird as fuck. I know ants can take down almost any bug and arachnids, them things are the Mafia of the bug world.
Crickets will eat/chew on anything, including each other (alive or dead), any enclosure they are kept in they will gnaw at, to bags (paper or plastic), cardboard boxes, etc, leave them there long enough and they will chew their way out. All they do is eat/chew on everything and defecate. They are nasty little things when you get down to it. I'm happy to have sacrificed them by the dozen to the Dragon god every other day or so. Can't believe she almost got me sitting here feeling sympathetic for a giant spider. ALMOST!
Collier Tony hahahhahaha my exact thoughts
:)
Collier Tony haha

I will do so right now :)
Thank you so much:)
M5
She took that pinkie so gently my tarantulas such an asshole XD
tarantulas, a dying mouse and a hot woman, what more could you ask for?
:)
A cup of nope and a live mouse
Mizukage Ezay she ain’t hot lmao
Lmaooo burn
A lotto win
is it on me? I feel like its on me!!!!
LOL!
It's hiding under your desk.
This feeling goes away some time after the 20th video or so.
Though every now and again, I have to remind myself DTG and her lovely collection of animals are ~ 1000 miles away!
Lol. It’s in your hair!
Spiders and a beautiful woman, great combo!
A pinkie is a just-born or very young mouse that does not yet have fur on it.
I thought you were feeding it a pinkie finger.. ;-;
OMG!!! That's too funny!!!
That's hilarious!
Deadly Tarantula Girl thank you. I was trying to finger out what a pinkie was.
Deadly Tarantula Girl I didn't know what you were feeding it but every time you said pinkie I thought of pinkie fingers (didn't believe those thoughts)
She's a beautiful tarantula. Sending her some good vibes for her recovery. Also very informative, thanks for sharing her with us!
Interesting - I had no idea that Ts could regenerate their missing legs.
And, it is so merciful and compassionate of you to make sure that your mice are already unconscious before you feed them to your Ts - you go girl 👍.
I have to admit even though I'm not a big fan of spiders, the way the spider took the pinky was actually pretty adorable.
01:30 Aww what an adorable thing to see! She pierced that piece of food in a such gentle way! My man's heart is melting...
Sweet!
*spidey gently accepts gift from the magic foodsticks*
"MANY THANKS LORD HUMAN, FOR AS I ACCEPT THIS MAGNIFICANT GIFT AS A TOKEN OF LOYALTY"
Am I the only one if this world who finds these things both fascinating but somehow also terrifying? Its like I can't make up my mind.
Your spider is ADORABLE!!!!
Thank you, Love!
Anyone else thought the pinky was a human one?
Ooooh! That would be brutal!
I did too. What is it
She took that mouse so sweetly. That was adorable.
Your Spider is eating Like a Cute Cat :3
I’m scared of spiders but the way you describe the arachnid and how informative you are is amazing and comforting for me, who knows I may get a baby tarantula
You're my idol!! - A fan here from the Philippines!!!
I've heard that t's usually have bad molts due to a high calcium diet, and as you know rodents are very high in calcium
If you have a problem looking at spiders, just think of them as hairy crabs. Works for me at least.
Love your videos! Just a thought thought wouldn't the calcium in the pinkie's bones have a negative effect on the molting process by causing the exoskeleton to get more calcium than it would typically get from eating invertebrates. Just something I was told years ago when I began keeping tarantulas.
Amber Darling that's just a myth :)
She took it so politely. 😂
Hello from England. Thank you for your knowledge and proffesional advice.. I wish you choice Blessings for yourself and your beautiful spider.
Thank you so much!
We're talking about feeding something to a giant spider and we're gonna be concerned with how humane this is.....
She so gracefully took the pinky from you. So beautiful 😍
How hard was it for you to find a "mate" I would be outta there if I saw a room full of spiders! Yelling "ARE YOU CRAZY GIRL!"
so gentle omg Dx
The thought of being in that room and all the boxes open up at the same time... i suddenly like nuclear devices
Thanks for assuaging concerns about the little mouse-- It's awesome that you're humane to the spiders and to the prey :)
OMG. I was shocked at first. I just couldn't believe that tiny tiny dead creature was a mouse. It was sooo small. But I hope that female spider is doing so much better these days🕷
Despite my arachnophobia I couldn’t help but feel bummed out by her state. At any rate, thanks for sharing your passion with us.
Your Movies are very nice Thanks 👍👍👍
Thank you so much!
Spiders are animals ?
I wonder what you call your boifriend....
Or gurlfriend ?
LMAO.
They are. I call him, "My Love".
That Spider Is Old Enough To Eat I Think..
What...?
Lauren Hedges I think he's talking about eating the spider
Pedo Bear I think he means live food, or he doesn't need help to be fed. I don't think he understands the thing was just close to death and I'd still recovering and that this was liter as lly the first thing the spider ate in a while
Had no idea that Nopes could be fed prey that had been frozen and thawed. That's how I used to feed my Danger Noodle, but didn't no Tars were responsive to that kind of prey feeding.
It was a rare occasion. She normally just ate crickets:)
Wow! A shy spider!(and very pretty spider lady)
Thank you!
Deadly Tarantula Girl. Very welcome, pretty spider lady thats braver than me.
In the late 1970s living in New York I purchased a Mexican red knee or legged from pet shop after a friend got one. I saw how cool at 17 years old it was a cool pet. I read a lot about Tarantulas. did anybody notice she's fine as hell...i hope the spider pulls through.
AHHH I WAS WATCHING CUTE MOUSE VIDOES ON AUTOPLAY WITH MY MOUSE AND I WALKED AWAY, FORGETTING TO PAUSE AND I CAME BACK TO THIS AHHH
A beautiful spider, they’re also very docile. I hope she feels better and gets back up to 100%
She recovered! Thank you!!!
im glad she ate. hopefully she'll continue to improve.
looking beautiful as always
+Tyler Jones - Thank you so much!
That spider kinda looks like a crab. Its body is so flat and round that if you wouldn't see it's abdomen, you'd think it's actually a crab.
Cool! Right?
Yeah. They are not bad guys and are actually there to protect us against harmful insects. But what still makes them scary is their unpredictability. If you put your hand in the terrarium close to them and they perceive you as a threat even if you are not, they will strike at the speed of lighting.
Adi D. I noticed that too. I bought a live lobster recently to eat. And then I held a tarantula. They remind me of eachother
You are absolutely amazing and love that thier are females that care for Tarantulas!!!
I'm not surprised, another great video! 🤗👍
Thank you, Wicked!
Awesome video, your passion is awesome
Thank you so much!
That woman is gorgeous did not expect to see such a beauty
What a sweet heart omg. I'm so glad she made it through the molt. How can you tell whether the spider has envenomated its food or not?? Don't they also use fluid other than venom to dissolve the meat?
Thank you. I am not sure, but I will find out:)
What a lovely spider ^-^
very very professionally filmed in my opinion.
I hope she heals through the bad molt.
Keep up the good work, hope to meet some day....
So are all spiders particular about when they want to make egg sacks?
Yes.

Thank you for euthenizing the mouse first.
Creepy but cool. Awesome video of a huge tarantula
loved the video very interesting :)
Thank you:)
Deadly Tarantula Girl welcome 😊
I hope you spider pulls through. she's adorable.
Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, my precious friend!!!
Go say this to rob the tarantula guy.. You won't
Goobis lmfao
Girl, I love your videos and am really thinking about getting a tarantula myself
aww she so shy and friendly
She's very beautiful! I'm envious!
:)
I love your videos
Thank you, Dear!!!
Hi! Great and informative vid!👍 hope she pulls thru that bad molt.
Thank you so much:)
If Hollywood ever created a Smite movie I would love for her to be Arachne!
Omg that was funny, at 1.55 when she walks over to the corner by the camera and she literally lifts her leg to block her face
Adorable.
my thoughts are with you I lost both my G Porteri and P Lugardi at the end of 2016 I was devastated and I wouldn't wish that on anyone I hope your T makes a full recovery
Thank you so much:)
your very welcome
:)
how big was this spider?any measurments
Just got a Sydney funnel web out of my house , now I'm watching this ! Too many spiders in my life ! But I still like the bloody things for some reason
Not a spider is tarantula
She looks like a spider 😂😂 only kidding
Should never feed these spiders mice due to the high calcium content, i understand that it is part of their natural diet in the wild, but I'm sure that most of you guys know that high calcium foods for this particular species can cause high calcification of the exoskeleton, which in turn can cause bad moults, it's our duties as keepers to reduce these risks & keep our pets so they can live long & healthy lives.
Paul.
Paul Fleming Hi Paul ! I feed my spiders Crickets but I want to give them more variety ! Are Super, wax, and hornworms okay ? Anything else that you recommend? Thanks :)
Giggle Boots:
super worms, Beatle larvae, and cockroaches, Ts love those
Paul Fleming she gave her a pinkie. Perfectly fine as they do not possess that high of a calcium level to cause molt issues.
The whole calcium thing is a myth and not proven
Pinkie lives matter lol
Girl you are stunning.... :-) Have a great day.... loved the spider but your amazing to listen to...
THANK YOU!!!
it looked like the exoskeleton on the legs were split open in dozens of areas.
+Life & Times of JCM It is just the way the exoskeleton hardened. It there is ever a little split, the spider would bleed at the least and lose hydraulic pressure and die at the worst:)
Dude. She has like 100 tarantula next to her computer.
:)
3:26 This beautiful woman is purposely teasing all of us male viewers.
Not nice lady..... but truly appreciated.
👌
I too love spiders and now I think I love the spiderwoman
That's cute so gentle
Had no clue they regenerated or even molted. Here we go down another rabbit hole. Buh bye
She's a big girl. I reckon after a few pinkies she'll be good as gold
She did recover.
Oh wow....look at her fluffy face. Are her legs as soft and velvety as they look? Do the Goliath Birdeaters mind being handled?
They are pretty soft. Some of them really don't like to be held and some don't mind but if they fall, they are very likely to die. So, I caution people from handling them.
I have nothing but horrible luck with Stirmi. They always seem to have problems with molting. The bigger they get the worst the molts go. Great vid Deadly!
Thats why they called the cartoon show the pinky and the brain i learn something new yay
LOL!
Just curious, are the slits in her joints and legs natural? I cant help but think they are scars or something. TY
That is their normal anatomy. Thier skeletons remind me of hydraulic machinery. Pretty amazing!
Deadly Tarantula Girl thanks for your answer. I was wondering the same thing too.
Women who gather Spiders are weird and crazy. Stay away from them.
deadly tarantula girl..how aggressive is the goliath for beginners..is it recommended or do you need lots of expierence with them?
This is just feeding my arachnaphobia
I was today years old when I found out how spiders eat
I seem to always come back to this video when one of my Stirmis are molting, or bout to lay a sack....One thing that always bothered me was the feeding of the dead thawed mouse...I take no pleasure in the pain of animals, I love animals, but I just can't conceive of feeding a thawed, dead mouse. Love your Vids
I got my First T 5 weeks ago ( Brachypelma Boehmei) .
Hopig for an Acanthoscurria geniculata soon .
Thanks for posting these videos :)
better give them insects instead of babymice
That's what they usually eat.
swaggy swagson I think it was just to give her a boost of protein and other minerals. Since she had a bad molt and is kinda weak, and haven't eaten since, I think it was the best way to gives strength to the tarantula.
Oh no the baby mouse! I have arachnophobia
Really cool looking GBE spider. :-) Do they do well in captivity?
Oh no no no no no !!! Where's my slipper !!! Rolled up newspaper !?? Oooooooo no !
I've never heard of crickets eating a tarantula even at a weakened state. That would be weird as fuck. I know ants can take down almost any bug and arachnids, them things are the Mafia of the bug world.
+TS Connection - I've seen crickets eat a bearded dragon and other predators and rats chew up huge snakes. I know it's crazy but it happens!
Deadly Tarantula Girl I want a pet cricket now!
LOL! I hate getting bitten by them!!!
Never been bitten by one myself, though pet store personal has been while counting them out for me. Also never chewed on my Beardie that I ever saw or knew of (no after effects or anything). But I could imagine it happening in some circumstances though.
Ain't no spider got anything on a T-hawk!
Notice how her legs around the knees are all cracked open??? That's because her environment is too dry, and I just made that up but it looks sickly.
That is actually the hair on her knees, kind of a cowlick on a spider.
A smoking hot girl wild about spiders? I'm in love.
Fine looking girl (the spider looks good too).
So since spiders basically drink their food through a straw of sorts, their food needs to be made into a liquid. Is their something in their venom that does this or do they put some sort of enzyme in the prey through their drinky straw?
Yes. Their venom liquifies the insides of the prey.
Get a big gallon of raid from Walmart and spray that big mother-dude.
